This what kinda killed the Sonic DS games to me... And the later GBA games, too. Too many sudden deaths because of spikes or bottomless pits.
Sonic Colors DS was not like that, thankfully.

Rush and Rush Adventure were. Solid games even with the sudden deaths, though.Sonic Colors DS was not like that, thankfully.

hey if it means the game will stay at 60 fps unlike recent certain AAA titles then yeah it's worth advertising
how do you know it's not 59 fps like Mario Kart 8?No, they're saying the Wii U version doesn't stay at 60...which it does. That's kinda the whole issue with them touting it as a feature. It's not a new thing.
Supports any resolution, though 16:10 resolutions have black bars, interface doesn't scale properly also.I'm waiting for confirmation on 4K being supported before pulling the trigger on this.![]()

If it's borderless fullscreen you probably need to set your desktop to your DS resolution before launching it to make it downsample.Annoyingly, I couldn't get it to downsample.
Emulating backups of your own games is 'legit' afaik. But I see what you mean, it would be nice if people had a cheap and easy way to play Colors on their PC without needing to own a softmodded Wii.While true, not everyone is down to clown with emulation and likes to keep their software purchases legit.

Still baffled by the fact that they even decided to port this.

What is baffling about it? From what I read the game doesn't get Sonic 06/Boom levels of hate, in fact I read a lot of positive things towards it. Also, porting it to be PC will probably be worth the costs, the Sonic fanbase is huge and lots of people don't have Wii Us. Also, while I haven't played Lost World yet, it can't be worse than certain things SEGA ported before.Still baffled by the fact that they even decided to port this.

No anti-aliasing options at all, though still have to check if it can be forced through drivers.
Window mode is also not working properly, the window size is smaller than it should be.
The game isn't bad / terrible. It's just not as good as colors / generations.

VF5FS now please...
For Nvidia users, SGSSAA works using the same flag as Sonic Generations, 0x084010C5
Need to use a tool called Nvidia Inspector (have to download it separately), create a profile for Lost World (star marked in the icons at the top), add slw.exe to the profile (the other marked icon at the top), and change the settings marked as red in the picture.Any chance you have a tutorial for that? because that's a lot of letters and words that I don't totally understand, but I have a GTX980 and would love to get that going.
I'd say it's comparable or slightly better than the Sonic Adventure 2 port, it's tied to 60fps (lower framerate results in slowdown), and has few graphics options (no AA, though can be manually fixed at least for Nvidia users). Runs smoothly at least (depending on the PC).So how well optimized is this port?
Is it better than Generations or worse?
So if my computer could run SA2 HD it can run this?I'd say it's comparable or slightly better than the Sonic Adventure 2 port, it's tied to 60fps (lower framerate results in slowdown), and has few graphics options (no AA, though can be manually fixed at least for Nvidia users).
So far my biggest problem is that window mode is borked at least for me, putting the game in a window smaller than the chosen resolution (at least for 1280x720).
The game's speed is tied to the framerate. Anything below or above 60fps will slow or speed up the game.Ehhh...
Can anyone confirm whether it is actually locked or not?
I was hoping we'd finally have 120fps Sonic goodness...
I'm not sure, the weakest PC where I've tried it runs pretty well (Core 2 Duo E7400, Radeon HD6850, though only tried at 1440x900).So if my computer could run SA2 HD it can run this?
It's kind of low spec but it can run some things decently.

Glad people are enjoying the game this time around. I thought it was brilliant since it's Wii U release - if a little flawed.
How bad is this game on a escale of 0 to -9?
Wow, from the game's announcement to about two seconds ago, I had it in my head that SEGA was porting Sonic Boom and not Sonic Lost World. I was kind of wondering why the general consensus shifted more toward acceptance of this port when the impressions of Sonic Boom were so overwhelmingly negative in every aspect...
Maybe I will actually get it, then... Though I still want the Wii U version for the Yoshi and Zelda freebies.

How's the pop-in? It was fairly noticeable in the Wii U version.
