Did I mishear something or did Clay say something about asking Jax what he wants him to do? Seemed odd for that to not come up or not emphasized more. Seemed like a pretty important thing for Clay to say.

Yeah he did say that.

I'm actually starting to like Clay as a character now. Good for him.

I think they emphasized it plenty. The look on Gemma's face said it all.

This whole situation with Clay appears to be the first time he's been genuine about being there for Jax and the club for a very long time.

I definitely think they emphasized the scene itself but after that it's not even brought up. We see no mention of it to Jax and it seems like there was nothing that got back to Clay. The ending actually makes me assume Clay went along with the deal if they're willing to blow up the club. Would they think Clay would go along with it afterward and would they want to make that big of a move without having something in mind to take its place?

All the more reason to distrust Clay in my book. He might have turned a corner but I still think he's the same old Clay underneath.

I'd trust Clay over Jax any day of the week. Jax has turned the corner to sacrificing his brothers and making decisions behind the club's back just like Clay did, but he lacks the common sense and and competence to execute his plans properly. Jax is becoming a poor-man's Clay.

Such a great episode. I was grinning from ear to ear so many damn times.

Juice. The highway. The speech. The sheriff.

"Sorry for my behavior today."

Awesome episode. Jeff Winger would be damn proud of Jax's speech to the Sons.

Glad to see Bobby and Jax reconnect. Glad to see Venus again. :)

Jax's speech to the charter's was the definite highlight for me.

Also who'd thought we'd ever see Venus Van Dam again?

I want to know if the removal of the wig was a reaction to critics/people saying it looked pretty ridiculous. Not sure if that's a possibility with the production schedule however.

Great episode, finally. Glad Bobby is back and not just starting up the Nomads again.

This. I was a little worried when the stuff with the cops happened at first but it turned out to be an interesting and funny little aside in the ep.

I'm stunned, there wasn't a single montage during this episode.

Nice speech from Jax, but not much to else to say, it was a pretty middling episode with nothing of note happening.

Way to ruin a great thing with Walton Goggins coming back. With a backstory now too.

The opening scene would've been better without any dialog. A lot better.

The crowd was definitely pleased as far as I'm concerned. And Tara's Joan Jett hair is still driving me crazy. She was always hot but this is perfect.

This was the best episode of SOA in a long time and it didn't take a bunch of nonsensical over the top violence to achieve that.

You've jinxed it now. Next week will see graphic eye gouging, penis dismemberment and whatever else Sutter's sick mind can come up with.

I fully expect Sutter to compensate for the lack of over the top violence next week.

Pretty much. This episode was an anomaly. Was totally expecting them to do something to those cops in the scrapyard...

I love when Happy says, "At least a couple of days," in regard to how long to keep the Irish guys tied up before cutting them loose.

Next week there will be a flashback to Jax crossing his fingers underneath the table when telling the Kings they'll give back Connor, followed by the Sons chaining Connor's limbs to their bikes and tearing him apart.

Agreed with some of the other comments as well. Finally a damn episode where I could laugh while watching. Reminded me of episodes from the first couple of seasons. A palate cleanser after most of the dark and miserable episodes this season.
