What are you most excited for?

The more I dwell on it the more disappointing it is

No DMC5
No Gravity Rush
No Ace Combat
God of war went from action game to a Last of Us style game
Resident Evil 7 is first person? Hopefully not I'll try the demo and confirm.
MW remastered still not a stand alone
No Persona

Best part was FF VR and Ill always give Kojima the benefit of the doubt even though the trailer sucked.

Fantastic looking games, but very forward thinking. When will we play any of this stuff?

GoW will probably be late 2017
Days Gone, probably mid 2017
Become Human probably early to mid 2017
Death Standing will easily be 2018, could push into 2019.

Just making guesses based on how long these things have been in development.

Biggest complaint really is that so far this entire E3 hasn't left me interesting in a whole lot I wasn't already interested in going in. Maybe 3 or 4 surprises sounded interesting so far, that's about it.

In general I think MS and Sony were both lightweight this year, but did a good job on both presentation and nailing their views of themselves and where they are headed.

Well this conference was probably my favorite of what I've watched. Definitely some cool stuff in there and lots of stuff I totally plan on trying.

Some nice surprised with Days Gone and the tease for Kojima's next game. Interested in God of War for the first time, Norse + not a total asshole might win me over.

Lots of stuff surprised me and I as equally surprised about what didn't show up. Nothing about the rumored RDR stuff and nothing with regards to FF VII. Still, definitely was able to get pumped up about some (most) of what they showed.

Some of you sound like cranky old lawn guarding bastards. lol
Either trolling or Ice in your hearts.

saying GoW(or the other games) looked like shit is just the weirdest hyperbole ..

Better conference for me than last year. I understand the academic importance of the three games last year, but don't care about any of them.

Could have done without the Red Dead teasing the past 10 days though.

It's significantly more engaging than Microsoft conference. Sony focused on showcasing games. There wasn't a guys blasting my head with a bunch of bullshit. Games looks great, but I don't like the focus on VR.

not feeling anything. Games were solid, but only 2 of them have release date?

With Last Guardian coming out this year and the third party support AND VR releasing this Fall with games coming just a few months after, I'm not worried at all that the other games announced didn't have release dates.

Ton of quality AAA games though a few of them seemed a tiny bit samey.

They had some real deal gameplay demos that were hot fire, and they didn't even need to talk hardware beyond VR.

No Indies or Japanese games hurt for me though as it felt too samey at parts without some mixup.

Also if you don't like character action games what was there for you? We didn't see any fighters, indies, racers, sports and the only platformer was Skylanders Crashlanding Edition.

I'll give it a 8/10 B+

Really like the single player games on the ps4 (horizon and GoW and Gone Dead?), but for some reason Xbox live just shines for MP stuff.

Now it makes even more sense that MS made Scorpio the big thing of their conference, because Sony made it very clear they rule on games and exclusives. What a gulf in quality between those two conferences if you just look at the games side.

Final scores!
EA:3/10
Bethesda:4/10
Microsoft:5/10
Ubisoft:5/10
Sony: 9/10

Pros:
- KOJIMA REVEALING HIMSELF
- Resident Evil 7
- Spiderman
- Finally sold me on Horizon
- That fucking pacing
- NO corporate sales bullshit whatsoever

Cons:
- Not a massive fan of GoW
- Crash only slightly less disappointing than what we thought
- Didn't stick the landing

Now we just got Zelda tomorrow. If it's good as I hope it'll be then Sony and Nintendo, damn.

Really not as blown away as most people here.

God of War 3 looked like ass
Days gone - willing to give this the benefit of the doubt
The Last Guardian - nice to have a date
Detroit - Hate those games
Horizon - Gameplay looks good, but I hate dialog options
VR shit - shit
Call of Shit - shit
Spiderman - looks great!
Days gone - looks good, but obviously taking a lot from the last of us and uncharted

No price drop. No revision. Nothing about the next system.

nice gears avatar lmao

Bend, SSM and GG all trying to take a page from ND, which for me is great, maybe not for everyone else. That being said, seems GG and SSM can match it, Bend not so much, although the zombie tech in that Bend game looks amazing, wonder if they can share that with some of the other teams

Persona 5 got 0.5 seconds of exposure on that stage.

Also, that was a crazy short conference for Sony!

Overall, 8.5/10

Days Gone was a lackluster way to end it though; should have had Kojima's game for the finale.

They could have ended the show with Bloodborne 2 or have Days Gone turn out to be a TLOU spin-off and the crowd would have gone fucking wild. As it is, an otherwise great conference ended with a wet fart. :/

Well that was a disapointing show. Lots of great games shown offcourse, but everything was so downplayed. Just trailer after trailer, not a lot of gameplay

And where were shuhei and adam?

Yeah I agree, especially was wondering where Boyes was. I will never forget him announcing FFVII last year.

Wish there was stuff from SCE Japan, like where are there games? Where's Gravity Rush 2 release date? How did Atlus not step it up and get more than half a second in the sizzle reel, which featured Igor's very long nose?

Still, every individual announcement they showed felt meaningful and important, which is great. There wasn't a big dip in quality anywhere. I actually wish there wasore people interrupting the videos every 3 or so haha

I'll give them an 8/10
