They're not the greatest films, by any stretch - but I watched them and enjoyed them nonetheless. So I'm in for this (on DVD).

I didn't hate the Da Vinci Code at all. In fact I rather enjoyed it. Particularly the Hans Zimmer soundtrack made it gold. I know he gets a lot of hate and I am sure there is something to that he is taking credit from all his slave composers work, but shit is good. It just is.

The opening music of Angels and Demons starts out with that tune and then turns into Ominous Latin Chants and more modern sounds. I found both movies as weak as the books but love the closing scene of Da Vinci and opening of Angels and Demons.

This. It's like no one here has even read it, which is probably best for them. I hope the movie keeps its garbage ending so that everyone can LOL and SMH at it like I did while reading it.

I think it would almost be worth the cost of a ticket to see audience reactions after the ending. I want to taste that rage and confusion. I want them to suffer like I did.

They keep ignoring Brown's best novel.

Deception point?

This needs to happen. An NSA movie would be politically relevant and surprisingly grounded compared to the Langdon stuff. They could even get Hanks to play the main character again.

Angels and Demons - Dan Brown's best work - was not a good adaptation. At all. And given how much I disliked The Lost Symbol I have lost interest in both Dan Brown's works and their cinematic adaptations.

Angels and Demons failed as a movie but was a terrific little thriller novel in my opinion. Enjoyed The Da Vinci Code both in book and movie form.

For some reason, the movies have some of the best talent in the world, literally, yet the story and screenplay continue to fail them. Never read Inferno or Lost Symbol, but I might try them for some light reading one day.

For something more interesting, let's just post Tom Hanks' Sony keynote again.

Tom Hanks, you legend.

The overt business hands lock it down. XD

Langdon isn't in the book and the main character is a woman. The story does not revolve around history or symbols, so adding Langdon in the film would not make much sense. Besides, I don't think Hanks is that much of a bankable star anymore. They should just cast Jennifer Lawrence if they want their money back.
