I originally owned a Sharp 15" LCD and like it a lot. However, I upgraded to a Samsung 19" LCD and the difference was amazing. The Samsung simply had better black levels and a better overall picture.

Same with my TV: I'd gladly take my Samsung over a Sharp any day.

Now i repeat according to the pics above the sharp display is clearly superior. There is no arguing at the top picture looks better than the bottom picture right?

The website linked to in the first post, clearly lists the Samsung display pictured as being a SAMSUNG SyncMaster 213T which is a Samsung 21.3" LCD monitor from as far back as at least April. The image shown of the Sharp has no specific label, so one could possibly assume it's actually of the PSP.

As I said, the PC monitor could have been pulled out of the box and photographed, we have no idea if it's calibrated for correct brightness or contrast or color - hell it could even be set to a completely different color temperature than the Sharp picture.

I can make a high-end plasma display look like utter-crap compared to an older CRT TV too if I throw the color and contrast calibrations off enough. Unless you know about the calibration there's no comparison to be made.

213T is a last year (2003) model and is not representative of Samsung's best, IMO.
