holy shit people, just buy a case to protect your $500+ phones. ive had my z1c for close to 2 years and have dropped it a few times but the case protected it.
im disappointed z5c doesnt come in gold, otherwise the phone seems on point.

Those phones look so sexy. But is it just me or does 4K resolution on smartphone seem useless and unnecessary? Why 4K when 2K on smartphone is already more than enough?

Short hands-on shows that the Z5 handles heat much than the Z3+, while using the same chipset. (Although most likely a newer revision)

Hmm never thought of that. But I hope that better experience will be well worth the more power consumption.
They scrapped that since they went with exposed USB ports.
The one thing that I'm a little put off by is just how little they've done to the Xperia Z design langauge. The baseline design is elegant but boring, and I'm hoping the Xperia Z6 will officially usher in an entirely new base to start off with.
Also, I hope 2016 is the year every one begins embracing the OLED revolution.

I absolutely love my Z3. Favorite phone I've ever owned by far. I hope the compact version of the Z5 is actually widely available in the US unlike the Z3c. My wife wanted a Z3c but they weren't sold through T-mobile.

I hope they've worked on the durability of their headphone ports. The one on my Z3 Compact has broken 3 times now - I can't be bothered with it anymore, I got a Bluetooth adapter and will be buying a new phone in November. It got really ridiculous when it broke the third time because I've been using the adapter the whole time so the port has been used <10 times and it still broke (checked, it's not dust or fluff). It's a shame, because I love the phone, but it just hasn't stood up to regular use.

My only wish for the compact would've been aluminium back as I'm a little weary of the cracked glass people have experienced with previous models. How widespread was that really?

My friend's Z3 cracked while in his pocket. It's a common occurrence too.
Nothing beats plastic phones for me, still rocking my G2.
