What I believe is a safe bet...

* MONTAGE
* "blah blah blah thank you guys, PS4 selling so well yo! here, have some sales statistics."
* DriveClub to get a trailer.
* The Order: 1886 gameplay demonstration. Hopefully a good one this time. I predict the debut appearance of the half breeds.
* Project Beast.
* The first proper Uncharted 4 trailer, detailing who the lead is, the story, the setting and the villain.
* New first-party IPs. Entwined, Kill Strain, Bloodborne and Guns Up! to be revealed. Hopefully MediaMolecule will be among them.
* Indie love.
* Morpheus to be shown to some extent. Zzzzzzz.
* Another appearance by Square Enix, more FFXV, possibly more Kingdom Hearts 3.
* Ubisoft will churn out another live demo of one of their boring games that I just wish was reserved for their own conference instead.
* Destiny to get more coverage. This is when I switch off for a while.
* Arkham Knight gameplay. Will probably look glorious.

What I want to see, though the jury's out on whether we'll see it or not...

* The Last Guardian re-reveal trailer, confirmed for the PS4. If not this year then I just fucking give up
until next E3.
* Some Vita love shown. Gravity Rush 2 gets its first full-fledged trailer, confirming platforms and worldwide release schedule. Will cry tears of joy.
* Sony asked on Twitter what we wanted to see on Playstation, the answer was resoundingly Shenmue. The Shenmue HD Collection confirmed for PS platforms. If successful, will pave the way for Shenmue III on the PS4.
* Red Thread on stage among other indie teams playing Dreamfall Chapters, thus officially confirming the game for the PS4.

I have a feeling that Microsoft have snapped up Shenmue.

3 things are guarantied

1: Sales brag, they might hit 9 million or so by then, and that is a gigantic number considering the time frame, and considering it might actually be almost 2:1 compared to their competitor

2: TLOU remastered, hopefully they do not spend too much time on this.

3: The Order, they will want to hype the shit out of it

Somewhat guarantied:

1: Destiny, Bungie will want to show the game off as it nears release, it will be here or at MS since Activision probably arent holding a conference. Only somewhat guarantied because MS could pony up and get them on their conference

2: Diablo 3, similar to above

3: Uncharted 4, they surely have a nifty, short, teaser that shows some of the cutscenes from the game, do not expect gameplay, but expect to see the engine and the graphics.

4: Demons Souls 2, they are aware of the leak, since they, unlike their competitors, do actually follow the general enthusiast community. Souls is not a massive series in Japan that warrants a TGS reveal.

Possible:

1: GTA5 on PS4, if it exists it will be shown here or at MS conference
2: RE7, it more than likely exists, since it is Capcoms biggest game, its here or at MS conference
3: Gran Turismo 5 on PS4, where there is smoke there is fire, this more than likely is being made. Surely they have a trailer to showcase it.

Now that Jack is gone i hope the bloat is gone as well. Damn, the Sony E3 conferences are bloated with nonsense. Make it an hour filled with content instead of an hour and a half, 2 hours boring bloat. But that won´t happen, since Ubisoft will have 15 minutes demo to bore most people.

Oh yeah, predictions time! This year i'm going all out on wishes and crazy expectation! :D
Saving this post to see what i got right.

Predictions: We know last year they could have 2hrs of just games, so this year to maintain their dominant position they'll simply throw everything they have for late '14, showing titles for first half of 2015 (second half's games will be at GC,TGS and VGX etc.), some 3rd party exclusivivity deals, improving psn+ services; psnow and project morpheus present but just for few minutes enough to show their potential to the masses, more to come.

PS3 DIRECT ---> (web pre-recorded conference to save space for ps4; new price cut; more ps+ titles, showing 3rd party stuff; maybe another Wonderbook title)

CONFERENCE [130min ca.]:
-AWESOME AS FUCK INTRODUCTION VIDEO [2min]-

-1st PARTY OUT IN 2014-

PS+ [2min] ---> (praise high attach rate; new services; first big games like KZ:SHADOWFALL sp-campaign, Knack, ACIV, Tomb Raider, Driveclub+, more)
-WESTERN 3rd PARTY-
DESTINY demo [10min] ---> (new zone; big ass boss; maybe pvp; sony exclusive content; beta starts day after conference)
DIABLO III trailer [2min] ---> (release date: i'd say July/August because in September there is Destiny and it can't be after that, too far away)
AC:UNITY demo [5min] ---> (still looking good; improvements to stealth but same ol' AC at core)
FAR CRY 4 trailer [3min] ---> (just a story+gameplay trailer; maybe early 2015)
BATMAN ARKHAM KNIGHT demo [5min] ---> (same formula with gorgeus graphics; some gameplay enhanchements and batmobile, release date announced)
LOTR SHADOW OF MORDOR trailer [3min] ---> (i can see it getting delayed to avoid confrontation with DA:I, maybe some exclusive content)
3rd PARTY INDIE reel [5min] ---> (1st party/Sony published titles will be main attraction at Gamescom)
-JAPANESE 3rd PARTY-
FINAL FANTASY XV demo [5min] ---> (now utilizing only next gen assets; better than reveal trailer; faith restored; WW release Q1 2015)
KINGDOM HEARTS III trailer [3min] ---> (showing some CG cutscene; some new worlds; playable riku; lightning cameo; release Holiday 2015)
METAL GEAR SOLID V trailer [3min] ---> (short version of the trailer like last year; show new jungle area; release Spring 2015)

-1st PARTY OUT IN 2015-
WIPEOUT reveal trailer [3min] ---> (digital-only; developed by Sony London; Early 2015)
UNCHARTED demo [5min] ---> (absurd graphics, same gameplay, final title and release in March)
MEDIA MOLECULE reveal trailer [3min] ---> (no idea what kind of game could it be; move and morpheus support; morpheus demo at Gamescom; April 2015)
PROJECT BEAST reveal demo [5min] ---> (co-developed with Miyazaki and FROM; using some Phanta Rei tech; Q2 2015)
PROJECT MORPHES [3min] ---> (latest revision; targetted price; support from a lots of 2014 games; launches same time as MM game; maybe bundles)
-ONE LAST THING-
GTAV HD REMASTER trailer [2min] ---> (contains dlc; maybe exclusive costumes; releasing in September; maybe timed exclusive)
AGENT reveal demo [5min] ---> (ps4 exclusive; cold war setting; open world hitman-like gameplay; amazing visuals; Late 2015)

Most of this is probably correct. Some personal opinions:

- Since we haven't heard anything about Agent, I wouldn't put too much trust in it being there. (Sounds neat though.)
- GTA V HD...eh, I'm saying no because I don't like it, but who knows.
- Metal Gear Online's probably a no because Kojima's too busy with The Phantom Pain

I'm thinking Square's got to find a place for a lot of their major games coming in the following 12-15 months or so, so I'm guessing people with their own shows may have to put their games in their own spots, like Ubisoft and EA.

Still, anyone who thinks you're way off is being overly cynical, to the point of just outright being wrong.

I'm going with:
Vita 2000 launch with cheaper price than current Vita model.
Vita given just a trailer with lots of ports and already announced games.
Media Molecule's new IP (with Morpheus).
Beyond: Two Souls PS4 port.
TLOU HD (short video).
The Order (on stage demo with release date).
#Driveclub (on stage demo).
Project Beast (video with release date 2014).
Destiny (on stage demo).
Assassin's Creed (video).
Guerilla Game's RPG (short gameplay video with release date Winter 2015).
Puppeteer PS4 port.
GTA5 PS4 port (exclusively for PS4 (Since The Agent is dead and Rockstar need to fulfill their exclusivity contract)).
Announcement that games with Morpheus functionality are on the show floor.

No way in hell that Sony devotes 20 min to the Vita. I think they open up with Uncharted 4.

I too would love for them to devote all the conference's time to PS4 but i guess they need to keep the damn thing alive :/

UC4 as the opener would be cool, i just put them in some sort of release order.

Most of this is probably correct. Some personal opinions:

- Since we haven't heard anything about Agent, I wouldn't put too much trust in it being there. (Sounds neat though.) Well we haven't heard form Rockstar for a while, and if they have to show a projects, that's just the one who attract me the most
- GTA V HD...eh, I'm saying no because I don't like it, but who knows. Basically everyone but Rockstar confirmed it
- Metal Gear Online's probably a no because Kojima's too busy with The Phantom Pain Yeah but we know it's coming with MGSV and being online i guess it needs a beta soon or later

Well i started it as a "everything i want" list, but then realized it's actually... logical? :D
I'd just like an insider to give me a sign so to know i'm not going crazy with the hype lol

- sales statistics
- Vita sales are increasing
a bit
- 2014 will be the year of the Vita with Borderlands 2, Tales of Hearts R and a port of the Ratchet & Clank collection, maybe other ports as well plus a dozen indie games
- PS Now, 14.99$/month, september or october
- we collaborate with third parties to bring you the best possible game experience on PS consoles, so: exclusive Kill Zone skins for Destiny, Uncharted/GoW based loot items for Diablo III, timed exclusive DLC for Ass Creed next
- trailer show: Driveclub, The Order: 1886, The Last of Us PS4, next game from Unfinished Swan studio, Project Beast
- finishing with Uncharted 4 trailer revealing that the plot is divided into two parts, PC is switching between Nathan and Francis Drake; your actions with Francis can change what happens in the present to Nate

What I believe is a safe bet...

* Arkham Knight gameplay. Will probably look glorious.

This seems about right.

Announce that monthly production numbers of PS4 have been doubled, and drop price to $299.

what makes you think that?
All that talk of a Japanese exclusive. Sega don't seem too interested in it. Microsoft funded Dead Rising 3 and funding Shenmue could be seen as a move to turn hardcore opinion around on the Xbox One.

But it is only a guess on my part.
I'd be okay with that. As long as some company decides to publish it and it's good, that's what matters. Sony just seems like the best fit is all.
Indeed. But it seems like a prestige title requiring a war chest to fund.

Well i started it as a "everything i want" list, but then realized it's actually... logical?

Yeah I was reading that post and my first response was "Is he really shooting for the stars here or is he just being reasonable with his wants", because that list consists of a whole bunch of things that are 90% likely to happen. You'll probably be a very happy guy after Sony's conference, lol.

I'm expecting good stuff. The des spiritual successor, the order gameplay, and hopefully some in game uncharted stuff (preferably with no bullet sponge enemies) is going to be really cool.

I hope they don't spend to much time in sales figures. Just a simple "thank you, we have sold x amount" will suffice (I don't want the sales stuff to extend past 5 minutes).

And I really hope they don't spend a lot of time on morpheus. I'm not interested in what will probably end up being a $300 prephiral.

But overall, It's going to be great. This E3 is going to be great overall. Lot's of next gen only games.

1st party:
The Order 1886 demo
Uncharted 4 trailer
Project Beast trailer
Media Molecule trailer with Morpheus support
Guerilla Games new game teaser
Drive Club update

3rd party:
Destiny demo
Assassins Creed Unity co-op demo
Batman Arkham Knight trailer
Indie games

Not sure about the rest, there should be couple of suprises left.

Well but that's just because i didn't put FFVIIR, SHENMUE III and HLF3 in my list ;)

Anyway yes, i'll be very happy.

I think Japan Studio working on Project Beast leak means The Last Guardian will not show.

Japan Studio always has multiple teams working on different things, and there's only a small group of 50 or so guys developing The Last Guardian anyway.

I think Japan Studio working on Project Beast leak means The Last Guardian will not show.

Japan Studio has like 500 people.

Titles they are working on:

The Last Guardian
Project Beast
Over my Dead body 2 (Vita JRPG)
Gravity Rush 2
Freedom Wars
Deep Down

I'm sure there's more as well.

Gameplay footage announced games like The Order/Uncharted/Driveclub/Rime/sotb etc.
TLOU HD.
Project beast.
The last guardian Q1 2015 released date.
New first party ps4 games from MM/Bend.
Morpheus demos, maybe release date and price.
For Vita: Gravity Rush 2 and maaaaaaaaaaaybe trailer for Bigfest/Murasaki baby/Freedom Wars/Oreshika.
3rd party: AC:Unity, Destiny, GTA V port and Deep Down.

Everyone's pretty much said what I expect, except for one thing, I dont think we will get sales numbers, I think we will get shipped numbers because it's possible the shipped numbers (including those in transit) could be 10 million. and 10 million shipped is a big milestone.

I'm expecting to see Arkham Knight, Uncharted 4, The Order, Destiny, Driveclub, Mad Max, Project Beast, The Last Guardian and some indie games.

a load of boring multiplatform stuff they have to show because of their partnerships, this months Assassins Creed, Call of Duty, Watch Dogs DLC, Madden, not-tiger woods pga tour 15, Batman, Destiny, Dragon Age 3, Doom 4, Mass Effect 4 etc

It'll be awesome if they started out the show like last year......

Dark Stage....
Shu is in his Sofa chair playing PS1 Crash Bandicoot on his Vita.....
Plays for about 30 secs and then dies....
Holds Vita Button and a new Option Prompt Appear in Setting....
EMULATION ...... He Checks it....
Crash Bandicoot now in HD.........
Shu plays for another 30 sec........

Shu then says, "Oh has the show started?" Exits the game which was through Remote Play on to the PS4 Dashboard.

Scrolls the new UI with folders and then a Friend went online.... Notifications

Gets an invite to play Destiny. Joins the game....

Someone taps on Shu shoulder to say to him that we need to get the show started...

Shu double taps the PS button and the PS4 goes instantly to sleep...

Shu then says, "Oh I forgot something." Taps the PS4 button to resume where he left off instantly. Exits the game...

You see two new Apps on the menu. Video and Music Player.

Shu launches the app and on the menu and he browses to Network where it searches his local PC to play a file. Opens the file to start off the Sony montage.......

Shu exits...

I want to see The Last Guardian get a release date, new games by Media Molecule, Quantic Dream, Tarsier, Novarama and Japan Studio (at least one of them a new AAA platformer or action-adventure game, and at least one of them an innovative NUI game), Uncharted 4, a new spectacular IP from one of their tech-oriented Western studios, Shadow of the Beast, GT7, and a return to at least one of their older properties (preferably Rollcage or Drakan). So a lot, I suppose.

Oh, and no VR bullshit whatsoever.

That's an extremely optimistic and tight schedule.

What is likely to happen: assuming 130 min conf

Opening montage [5 min]
New CEO's speech. Remember, this is his first E3 as CEO, gotta reaffirm company's direction. [5 min]
PS3 hey we haven't forgotten you guys 10 year plan remember montage [5 min]
AC for old gen (maybe not. depends really) [5 min] <-- this might not exist
PSVita [5 min]
Indie games. Remember they will have a lot more of them. Crossbuys everywhere [5-10 min]
PS4 developers masturbating over hardware montage + sales figures[10 min]
SOE bringing MMOs to PS4 montage. Expect H1Z1, PS2 [10 min]
Morpheus + some demonstrations [10 min]
Diablo 3 or Deep Down ( I think its gonna be Deep Down with an official localisation confirmation if they're ready for it) [5 min] <-- this might not exist
Driveclub gameplay [5 min]
Destiny. Most likely due to already existing marketing contract. Expect new gameplay. [10 min]
Ubisoft's new AC for current gen. Short gameplay [10 min]
Order 1886 combat gameplay + halfbreeds + a bit of tech talk [15 min]
Uncharted teaser [5 min]
One of the Japan games, maybe Lily bergamo [10 min]
First official reveal of either Project Beast or new game reveal from any of the Sony studios [10 min]
End of conference montage [5 min]

By this point, due to Proj beast, everyone should be hyped.
But wait! One more thing! TLG confirmed with actual gameplay of ratbird. [5 min]

Edit: Actually this is pretty tight too. Ubisoft really needs to go fuck off and do their own conference, then Sony can have like 20 minutes more to reveal games

Double edit: Sony starts conference at least 5 minutes late.

Lots of reaction gifs and lots of webms clips...

Man reading through this thread just reminds me of how many awesome games are coming up. Makes me so pumped for E3!

There are several games there that I'm only lukewarm towards, but I'd say out of those I've played the one I enjoyed the least was probably GTAIV.

Edit - wrong topic!

The people posting Crash Bandicoot, let it fucking go.

The Crash name has ZERO relevance in today's market and 3rd person platformers are not coming back in a big way. Nobody ouside of the hardcore who played Crash since the PS1 will care.

Crash Bandicoot is my absolute favorite PS1 franchise, but I never want to see it reimagined because it would bomb so hard it'll potentially take down a dev team with it. Nobody outside of the internet gives a fuck about Crash nor do they care about third-party platformers that don't have Mario in the title.

While I don't think Crash will be there at all, I can't say I agree with you here. I'm actually surprised by how many "normal people" know about Crash. I'm sure they would be interested in a new game if it's anything like the old ones. He could definitely make a comeback and succeed.

What I want: The entire show dedicated to Vita with a small PS4 sizzle reel at the start.

What I'll get: The entire show decicated to PS4 with a small Vita sizzle reel at the start. If we're lucky.

Announce that monthly production numbers of PS4 have been doubled, and drop price to $299.

There will be no pricedrop until market forces Sony to drop price. As long as PS4 is selling like it is now, and as long MS is not putting pressure on them, PS4 will remain at 399.

I expect $50 pricedrop in second half of 2015 when console moves from sixteen 512MB GDDR5 memory chips to eight 1GB chips.
