Sony's E3 2014 - What are we all expecting?

At this point I'm expecting a lot more info on Drive Club, nothing about Gran Turismo (I doubt they'd try to steal thunder away from a competing product of their own), Project Beast's official unveil, Uncharted 4, TLoU Remastered, the Witness, Destiny and probably something from Square Enix.

Other than Project Beast I prefer to remain realistic than optimistic because, more often than not, E3 is a disappointing show to me.

Edit: forgot about "the Order"

thuway apparently got some info on a ps4 game (also some stuff for the xbone as well) check it out . better then snow drop ,man let the hype train begin.

What I hope they do:

- They must limit PS3 talk, show Persona as that is going to sell regardless, montage of other game releases showcase all those games working on PSNOW, continued support end it there.
- VERY QUICK segment on tv services and the like.
- Start the PS4 talk with TLOU:R detailing changes.
- Another NG game, show U4 gameplay (if we are lucky) or a cutscene with Drake at least.
- Order 1886 refined gameplay segment, detail why this isn't just another 3rd person action shooter, show what is different (i.e. gun mechanics, unique enemies, story intrigue, mystery).
- Project Beast, just show what it is.
- Driveclub, show a fully networked race with 8+ people, here's hoping 16 players, showing unique challenges as you have been in the trailers live. Divulge a plethora of other game modes.
- The Last Guardian (THERE IS STILL HOPE).
- You had a third party agreement with Rockstar for GTA (if they announce next-gen before E3) show GTAV gameplay at 1080p.
- Other third party games, sports, MGS.
- Indies in a similar way to last year.
- Leave with Guerrilla's new IP.

Probably will only get 50% of this.

HOLY SHIT

Here's what I want as far as the exclusives and big titles go

- The Order FULL gameplay reveal, with a story trailer to back it up, and a fall release date in the very end. They need to make this the standout title for E3 as it's supposedly coming out this year, and they HAVE to market this right.

- Driveclub trailer and demo showcasing the incredible visuals and also showing the menu that led to the release date slipping a year.

- The Last of Us PS4 gameplay, 1080p and 60 fps being touted a lot.

- UC4 gameplay demo that blows the socks off of us, and an acknowledgment as to how the departure of Amy will not affect the title. I think they need to shut people up and announce the new director as well.

- I know this won't get announced, but I would kill for a new God of War reveal (in some fashion). Maybe a CGI teaser trailer similar to the one they showed at E3 2008 that hints at to the potential setting of the title. Again, given the ruckus that was caused due to SSM's cancelled IP and departures of key people, Sony need to assure their fans that the studio is alive and kicking, and a new GoW (led by Cory Barlog) could seal the deal for many as he's considered the best thing for GoW after Jaffe.

- GG new IP that is NOT social focused. Hopefully a full-blown Skyrim-ish title for the PS4.

- Project Beast unveiled with a proper title

- Show closing with a mysterious title being shown, with several hints throughout as to what it could be (and several connections to previous titles that have been in limbo), but no title given, leading to GAF and the rest of the internet exploding and theories piling up every second.

Sony E3 Press Conference:

-PS4 sales - PS3 sales
-Indie Success Talk
-Trailers of P5 and KH2.5 along with a montage of upcoming PS3 games
-PS Vita GR2 gameplay trailer shown. Probably 1 more new game for Vita
-#driveclub info blowout
-Proper 1886 gameplay demo
-Project Beast
-Asscreed Unity gameplay demo
-FFXV gameplay DEMO. Yes, DEMO and RELEASE DATE
-Uncharted PS4 trailer and gameplay demo
-Destiny stuff (not sure what they will show)
-Future firmware features talk (big update coming Fall)

"We have one last thing to show you...."
-The Last Guardian re-reveal trailer for PS4

Yes I seriously think TLG will finally be unveiled for PS4 this year.

This is crazy wishful thinking, but what I'd really love to see is Sony announce an Android phone that plays Vita games (with retractable controls.)

As far as things that will maybe actually happen:

-Only major PS3 thing will be the first "real" Persona 5 trailer. Maybe we'll also see footage of this year's last-gen AC game.
-Vita-wise, maybe another memory card price drop, probably one or two "big" (by Vita standards) game announcements, Gravity Rush 2 trailer
-Trailers for UC4, The Order, maybe Driveclub
-Project Beast reveal
-New trailers for FFXV and KH3. Maybe a release date for XV, which will be playable on the show floor.
-Another indie showcase
-A little bit about Morpheus
-Playsation Now details
-Reveal of features for next firmware update(s)
-Ends with The Last Guardian re-reveal

  • Kingdom Hearts 3 video
  • Uncharted 4 teaser trailer
  • The Last Guardian Winter 2014 MEGAGTON BELIEVE!

Came into the thread hoping the first post would simply be 'The Last Guardian'. You never disappoint, GAF.

I'm not expecting much from Sony, for some reason. I'm just so happy with my PS4, and feel like third parties will carry the day with it that what they come up with as exclusives is much less important to me than the other two (Ninty and MS).

Uncharted will be cool, I guess. I don't like the look of The Order at all. I don't know, all I want to see is The Last Guardian and a ton of AAA third party games, including a new Mass Effect.

Haven't gone through the 13 pages, but has DemonNite or the Gopher dropped any hints yet?

EDIT - Did a quick thread search and nothing. We wait...

No, but if you know where to look, there's been other people confirming certain appearances. UC4, GG's new game, and Project Beast, so far.

Uncharted
TLoU Remastered
Destiny
The Order
Maybe Fallout 4?

With room for some pleasant surprises.

Any chance we will get an update on Rime, Shadow of the beast and Everyone gone to rapture?
I guess they will save those for Gamescon?

what?
I dont understand.
Why does he post on twitter in the first place then if he dont want People to read it?

Its not that he don't want people to read but rather he is keeping it limited to twitter. You can search/follow him on twitter @thuway.

However, Tidux teased on twitter about GG new IP that we will see this year at E3.

Surely there has to be more from Sony's WWS at this thing.

Some new stuff from Media Molecule, Quantic Dream, Sony's UK studios, SSM, Japan studios, etc.

We haven't even seen one major product reveal from an actual WWS developer since the original PS4 reveal event, except for The Show 14.

The Order 1886 is from RAD which isn't WWS. At least, not yet.

Can't you say the same thing about microsoft.

edit: fable

This post is confusing. On one hand you're saying that RAD's reveal doesn't count because they aren't technically part of WWS, but then you list QD when they aren't any more a part of WWS than RAD.

I still have to wonder if there is any validity to these rumors about a Guerilla Games RPG.

We keep hearing about it, but I've never seen anything official substantiating these claims. I'm not even sure where this rumor even came from.

I just included them in there because it is one of the Sony affiliated developers I expect to see something from at E3. I wasn't implying they were 1st party.

Should have elucidated that point a little more, sorry.

Regardless of what Sony actually shows at E3, I do hope one thing:

The show a real substantial number of big exclusive games this time!

As I said in the other post, the only big reveal at last year's E3 was The Order:1886.

This was a major let down. Sony was still able to skim by and have a very successful E3 simply because of the positive support and admiration of gamer from all of their pro-consumer announcements on matters like DRM. Sony won't have that luxury this year. IF Sony wants to retain the interest and exuberance of their fans this year, they need to bring real game support! You could excuse last year since it was just revealing the PS4, but this year there is no excuse!

Sony claims they have 30 games in development for PS4. They need to provide real demonstration of the veracity of those claims.

No more "1 new game reveal E3s" Sony!!!

Last year was dry of games. The PS4 is getting older and most development teams must be all systems go for PS4.
Expecting a full on blowout
In order:

-intro featuring AssCreed, Destiny, #DRIVECLUB
-Play the numbers game with House
-Surprise guest shows Project Beast
- Shu shows off the Indies
-Vita (hopefully Gravity Rush 2)
-The Division w/ exclusive content
-Cerny on Morpheus
-PSNow
-Uncharted
-SSM New IP
-Guerrilla New IP
-Media Molecule New IP
-The last guardian back from the dead
-Agent back from the dead!
-End with teaser for Crash Bandicoot from the Naughty Gods themselves

A guy can dream right?

MS took Division co-marketing, so we'll never see Division at Sony's event.

Above all I just want to see Sony not holding back at all, just opening the floodgates and showing everything they've got, even if drip-feeding does make more sense.
