This is coming from the same person who leaked the Super Mario 3D All-Stars

The general message I'm reading is that we won't be hearing more until after March 31st since Nintendo is still technically celebrating Mario's 35th anniversary.

edit: fucking thread typos... *are*

Great news. Been wanting Wind Waker for the Switch since I got one but I wouldn't say no to a collection with Twilight Princess included. Or all three of them.

I'm on board for this if its true.
The other half is just getting into the Switch, so I am slowly drip feeding her the classics and re-releases.

I notice a lack of confidence in this after I saw the Direct guy begging for BoW fans to try out Skyward Sword(lol).

If they want to get a better perception, they should launch them as a collection.

They better release a triple pack for the price of one.

And why they would do that if they can slap a single game with that price tag and let their fans spam "haters gonna hate" over valid criticism?

I would say though, releasing a collection of those games would be neat, even though I'm not a fan at all of WW. Twilight Princess is a bad Zelda game but not a bad game at all.

Ok so they're getting early adopters to buy in digitally while they work on a Zelda HD Remaster physical release that will come christmas or next spring to try and make everyone double dip on it haha

Awesome. I would love to play through the GC/Wii trilogy again on my Switch.

Also, this had better be a double pack at a decent price.
I'm not paying £50-60 for Skyward sword even though it's the only Zelda I haven't played when it looks barely updated and in button mode Link walks about with his sword pointed out like a goon.

I've had enough with the fucking rereleases, it's become insulting at this point. No Nintendo, I will NOT buy another half-baked version of a game I played 10-20 years ago. Stop playing off of retroactive goodwill, start releasing more good games NOW.

And I say this as a huge Nintendo fan who ha fond memories of all those games.

Enough is enough.

Meh, the issue is more that these games are overpriced. A collection would have been cool because of the value. Since Skyward Sword is getting its own 60 buck release, I doubt w'll get anything worth buying now.

Wind Waker HD launched at $49.99 on Wii U, I think. I don't see it being higher than that.
Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze was $50 on Wii U & then $60 on Switch, ditto with Pikmin 3

never underestimate Nintendo's ability to port something & charge more for it, they'll just add a few small extras to justify it

lol charging $60 for individual ports rather than a proper remastered collection is pretty bullshit.

Nintendo have to be the kings of selling you back the same games you already own over and over again.

I don't understand, the one good 3D Zelda was announced yesterday...?

Sarcasm apart, WW is easily the weakest of the three. While I reevaluated TP through the years, it's still a very bizarre game and one of those times when Nintendo clearly tried going after Sony's games in style and gameplay, with... not really good results.

I don't mind this year and last being year of the ports, considering its covid-19, porting would be easy as there isn't much in direction. People who want ports can be happy and bigger new games can take longer in development time as we don't want another Marvel Avengers and CyberPunk 2077 disaster. Release it when it is absolutely ready.

Easily. People have a fondness for it because of the art style and the era, but it's really sloppy compared to the good ones. Unfinished, under-designed, too easy, slow combat, stealth etc.

It's still good though.

Twilight Princess would be cool, that game is amazing. Wind Waker HD is cool too but I never enjoyed Wind Waker as a whole all that much. I'll take it to my grave, TP is hands down one of the best Zelda experiences you can have. A bit too easy throughout the game but there's a Hero mode in the HD version that addresses that.

Nintendo should do the right thing and release both on 1 cart for $60. Charging $60 for each (if they do) is not something I would pay for. TP HD is still $50 on the eShop, I need to bite the bullet and get it before they take it down.

It really is mediocre when you compare it to other titles. Dungeons are quite boring, boss fights aren't anything special. The sea is empty and boring as hell. The HD version streamlined a bunch of things but it still feels empty and unfinished compared to other Zelda titles.

lol, this is not a leak, this is an inevitability.

Thats like saying a Call Of Duty is coming this year and a Assassins Creed is coming next year.

Wind Waker HD is $19.99 on the WiiU eShop. (So is Mario 3D World.)

I'm telling ya, all the negative stuff that gets tossed around about the WiiU is flamebait nonsense. The system is fantastic and totally worth the investment.

I bought one day one, no regrets, and got (and still am getting) years of fun out of it.

But I can't defend it having two power supplies, nor the importance of the Gamepad, and the inconvenience of suffering a broken one. It's been two years and I can't get into my options, and there are certain games I can't play. None of this would be a problem if they were sold separately, but as we all know, they aren't.

Thank god for Switch, basically.

We are 4 years into the Switch's lifetime and we still don't have this.

Why not?

Evidently, judging from Skyward Sword HD's overpricing, Nintendo are just as greedy with money as any other dickhead company, so why not follow up on that to give people the products they actually want in addition to charging them excessively?
