Holy fuck you have to be kidding me lmao. When I got to that part in the game I actually burst out laughing..
I knew I'd never play such a gift again.
It does and doesn't. The ques lines were pretty fucking good for a Bethesda game, but many of us fans enjoy the exploration and uncovering of random, hand crafted, cool shit in the world. Starfield had none of this. The planets were all boring and exploration was fucking terrible. They also doubled down on the building shit, which I personally hate. Todd thought people would play this thing forever which is fucking insane. Most couldn't finish it or would never play a second time because the world was so dull outside of the main questlines. This game got WAY TOO much hate
Was it the masterpiece we wanted? no
But I finished the whole campaign and started NG+ (Mainly because of what happened at the end of the game IYKYK)
Fun story, nothing earth shattering, but good enough. Also many fun areas and side content. Some of the side content was actually very intriguing.
They were happy to let people believe this was Skyrim in space before launch and after launch they essentially ignored any feedback with the core fanbase convinced they would keep adding content, fix the open world… they completed some of the content they had been working on, released a few patches, but had clearly moved their developers and artists somewhere else.It does and doesn't. Looking forward for people to say "hey it's actually good *now that I can play it*"
I am sure starfield would sell gangbusters on playstation at launch, coz back then we werent in the know how bad of a game it actually is, ppl thought its basically skyrim/fallout in space, now it wont sell as good but could still sell quite a bit, especially with more casual crowd.
All the problems of Starfield are stemming from the fundamentally wrong game structure and they cannot be fixed because the whole concept of fake space rpg with tons of loading screens is atrocious.Quick question :
Is this game actually salvageable ?
Meaning, besides the obvious constant loading screens which are here to stay, are there any gameplay improvements that could be done as to make it generally better/more enjoyable ?
The biggest peeve people seem to have is with the exploration part in that it's apparently "boring", am I getting this right ?

Imagine the sales if this came day 1 to PlayStation. With all that hype. Would have sold millions.
Right now, knowing what we know, it's much more indifferent.
Unlike Skyrim and Fallout, I likely wont replay it, so agree on that. Also I hate the building shit that they started in Fallout 4 and now feel every game needs it. Exploration was very meh. Not awful, just very meh. Especially once you kinda learn how the "grids" are. Some of the quests are pretty good though and I did WANT to finish the gameIt does and doesn't. It should sell pretty well. The question is: will the narrative be as bad as it originally was?Good luck to the Sony bros who buy this. Play Outer Worlds or No man's sky instead. I'm a zenimax fan and this was a miss for me.

Great news! Now even more people will be able to enjoy this future PS Store #1![]()
Never messed with the shipbuilding in Starfield. I know many praise it. I just did the SMALL little "required" parts of it to move the story along. Never been a fan of building anything in games, ever lolI'm so over bethesdas idea of base building and I've been over it since Fallout 4 dropped. It's just not good.
Now the shipbuilding they put in Starfield I can fuck with. If they drop an elder scrolls game and it's on the coast and we can build sailing ships like you do spaceships? Yeah I'm down with that.
Yeah i think the base building stuff is probably here to stay unfortunately. I like the idea but the execution is pretty bad.I'm so over bethesdas idea of base building and I've been over it since Fallout 4 dropped. It's just not good.

You know how people hate Xbox just for the sake of it against all logical explanationYou really think people here who have trashed the game are really going to say that?

How ironic is that Microsoft buys Bethesda cause they didn't want Starfield to be PS5 exclusive, then make it Xbox exclusive, just to release it anyway on PS5
You're a funny guy
Yeah I don't think your bowel would survive to this mealxbox make me hangry![]()
As a console exclusive for Xbox, Starfield could become a massive success for the X/S if it turns out to be the blockbuster epic it's expected to be.
After first being revealed in 2018, Starfield is finally slated to release in 2023, and will hopefully be the exclusive hit Xbox has been waiting for in the new console generation. Developed and published by Bethesda, Starfield looks to be a roaring space opera that picks up in the aftermath of a solar system-spanning war. As an RPG with an...
So that's the new thing , enter threads about Xbox games coming to PS5 & talk about how bad the games are?
So this isn't the game people were boasting about a few years ago .
It's been crazy. Everywhere I look on the gaming/tech/social media related internet, it seems like the conversation is about Starfield. It's been a few years since I've seen this type of hype and buildup towards a game's release.
Maybe Cyberpunk 2077 a few years ago? But even that I don't think had this type of fervor around it.
When talking about the Xbox platform specifically, this might be the most hyped game ever outside of maybe Halo 3 back in 2007?
