South Dakota same-sex marriage ban ruled unconstitutional

Just seems unbelievable that we're beginning to have the conversation about "which State will be the last to have same sex marriage enacted". Happened far quicker than I ever expected.

It's been such a journey here on GAF watching and waiting for this to creep across the country at this slow pace.

Super quick - I had the honor of being requested by Orlando's Mayor Dyer to sing through the first day's wedding of over 50 couples that first day, including two couples that are my dear friends.

Our 8 man ensemble OUTLOUD! is a small part of the Orlando Gay Chorus, and we found it hard to sing through happy tears that morning in the sunshine outside city hall. One of the best experiences of my life personally and vocally. It was surreal. All that love and unbridled joy of all those wonderful couples set free.

You're right, and I don't know why I found that particularly noteworthy at the time.

If we were talking about pure equal protection analysis, then that would actually be quite something.

Not that it'll really go down one state at a time for the last bunch anyway, but if it did, Georgia would absolutely be the hold out.

If you trust Nate Silver's statistics, Georgia's actually ahead of Louisiana, Alabama, and Mississippi.
