What da hell comedy central. First my DVR didn't record the episode because it was not marked as new then they don't repeat the episode at 12.

So even though it's listed to play right now, it's playing scroatie mcboogerballs, this sucks. I realized I missed the first 5 minutes so I avoided watching the rest to see it in this time slot.

Just watched, incredible episode. In my top 5 SP of all time, easily. Top 3, probably.
Yes. Yes. Y-E-S.

was bleeping muhammad a joke or did comedy central bitch out

I don't know, is there an official answer anywhere?

Also, seeing Cartman on the roller-coaster with the big screen with Scott. Did anyone else think of The Killing Joke?

Best episode of South Park in years. So epic. Last week was nothing compared to this. Wow. Season 14 is kickass.

Aw man, that was a pretty good episode.

200 was mostly nostalgia but 201 had enough jokes and stupid plottwists to make up for it.

These were still far from the best episodes ever but they were a nice tribute to 199 previous episodes of mostly awesome.

Brilliant episode. I wonder how much of the censoring was forced and how much was planned.
None of it was forced, all of it was planned.

Edit: I seriously can't believe how many people think that the censoring was forced. Are you people fucking serious? I could see if MAYBE you thought the censoring was forced for the first half of the episode, but once they got to the "what I learned today" where EVERYTHING was censored, then you knew for SURE that it was part of the joke. Because it was obvious that the "what I learned today" part was censored on purpose, and the only reason why that was funny was because there was so much censoring going on in the first place.

If you REALLY still think the censoring was forced, then wait until they rerun last week's episode and see if they have to censor it this time.

Shit, you people are stupid. =P

Man, I really thought they were going to send him to Imaginationland. That would have been the perfect ending. I loved the Tenorman reveal.

Yeah they could have shown Muhammad if they wanted too. He's still uncensored in "Super Best Friends" episode you can watch now on the southparkstudios.com

I dunno, i definitely could see Comedy Central doing the bleeps for Mohammad, everything else seemed to be on Matt and Trey's level. I don't really get why they would say his name in 200 but not 201. The "what i learned" speeches obviously were a joke, and showing him with the box over him was planned, but that's the only inconsistancy that stood out that really seems plausible. Add to the fact that the episode most likely got pulled for repeats. Truthfully i wonder if it will ever be shown in syndication again.

Uh, they never aired 201 at Midnight, just so you know. I doubt that was "part of the joke".

That was brilliant

Fucking PIP!!!!

And Tenorman!

And Broncos reference!

And Mephisto and Kevin

If it had the Visitors and Cows I'd have lost my mind

Actually most of the censoring was forced, try watching 201 on Southparkstudios.com. It basically says Comedy Central put in most of the bleeps.

I guess people aren't as stupid as you claim.

EDIT: This is what's posted when you try to watch 201

We Apologize that South Park Studios cannot stream episode 201 at this time.

After we delivered the show, and prior to broadcast, Comedy Central placed numerous additional audio bleeps throughout the episode. We do not have network approval to stream our original version.

We will bring you a version of 201 as soon as we can.

Not that I'm convinced it's true. I highly doubt CC would have them bleep out the message at the end, though...who knows, these days.

Did they seriously censor out Mohammed? Man, that's just pathetic.
That always seemed to be the point. All of the steps they took to make Mohammed not appear made the people wailing about his depiction look weaker and weaker with each progressive step they took to censor things even further.

That's how you want to play it CC? Fine, I have other means of seeing this show, and they don't involve watching commercials.

I didn't care for the episode. The over bleeping was annoying, not funny. The way they stopped Bababada was just stupid. I wanted Tom to go to Imagination Land.
Now we'll never see him again. Or Pip. Less people to make fun of = not good.

Eh.

It's been confirmed that much of the audio censoring (not sure if this applies to all of it, but it does to most) was added by Comedy Central, and was not intentional; they're not rerunning the 201 episode, in part, because of this controversy, and the original version that was uploaded to South Park Studios is being changed, I think.

Edit: I'm a little late with this, apparently. Still, what a bummer : /

Agreed. The message at the end had to have been staged, simply because of Stan's hilarious "Yeah" right after. And that whole bleeping joke wouldn't have worked if they didn't bleep Muhammad.

I still call bullshit. The episode Super Best Friends is still available to watch. That contains an image and the verbal name "Muhammad" in it. This is a publicity stunt or something.

The only way I could see it being legit censorship is if Matt and Trey got word early on during the week that they had to censor the name Muhammad, then they altered the episode to include some jokes about it, like the over-censored speeches at the end. Otherwise, I'm still calling bullshit.
Or maybe they did this so people on forums would fight about it.
damn, this is probably BS then =/

we'll know next week, they'll probably show him with no censors and all that knowing them.
