Agreed. The message at the end had to have been staged, simply because of Stan's hilarious "Yeah" right after. And that whole bleeping joke wouldn't have worked if they didn't bleep Muhammad.

I still call bullshit. The episode Super Best Friends is still available to watch. That contains an image and the verbal name "Muhammad" in it. This is a publicity stunt or something.

The only way I could see it being legit censorship is if Matt and Trey got word early on during the week that they had to censor the name Muhammad, then they altered the episode to include some jokes about it, like the over-censored speeches at the end. Otherwise, I'm still calling bullshit.

Or maybe they did this so people on forums would fight about it.

Maybe when they finally air episode 201 on SPS, it will in fact be the Not Without My Anus episode (which is also an episode 201, right?)

I'm starting to think that Comedy Central did censor the ending speeches as well as the word Mohammed.

I'd love to see an interview with Trey right now.

So they censored every single time "Muhammad" was spoken? Seriously?
That is.... simply fucking ridiculous. And I woke up earlier to watch the episode online before going out, sigh >.<

But no, really. Free speech? Roflmao.

Seriously.

The best was watching CNN talk about the insults on Tom Cruise in 200; before the airing of 201 tonight.

I kid you not, when describing the insult on Cruise, they beep out "Fudge" when one commentator said Tom worked as a Fudge Packer.

CNN stopped the Fudge in Fudge Packer.

There are not enough facepalms for that.

Edit: I was looking up Scott Tenorman Must Die a few minutes go and saw that it was from 2001! It's nine years old. Where the hell has the time gone?

Scott Tenorman returned in this episode? Yay :D
Now only to wait until episode is uploaded online. If it is. Sigh.

Yes, he was back for a few minutes. It was revealed that Scott is the king of the gingers and Eric Cartman's half brother!

Good thing I caught it during the original airing. I missed the first 5 or so minutes, though. :\

Funny all the things they did with the other religious figures, but they can't even talk about Muhammad.

Now South Park has spoilers? What a world we live in.

Well, I thought I'd spoiler it since Comedy Central refused to reair it at midnight, they can't stream it on the site, and quite a few people apparently missed it.

I wanted to catch the repeat at midnight but instead was shown an episode about scrotie mcboogerballs. Good job comedy central.

edit - I should have read more of the thread

You guys are dense, why would the bleep and censor the fuck out of it and then not rerun it?

I don't get your angle.
It makes perfect sense to me.

Same here. The fact that Jesus and Santa both repeated Kyles message kind of proves it was part of the joke, doesn't it? Anyways, great episode. I loved the whole segment with Scott Tenorman, they really outdid themselves with that scene.

I was expecting the ending to have one of the censored characters die, so the viewer doesn't know if they killed Mohammad or Tom Cruz.

Well Cartoon Wars was legitimately censored when it was shown. The scene where it's replaced by text saying something like "here would be a scene with Mohammed giving family guy a hat with salmon" is there because the scene was actually taken out.

That's another reason why I think it's a setup. They knew they couldn't get away with this, so they made sure the censorship would be ridiculous by "showing" Muhammad through most of the episode and saying his name as often as they could. The message wasn't offensive either, so I don't see why the network would feel the need to censor it.

Yeah, and Matt and Trey were already pissed for censoring Mohammed back then. I wonder what they are feeling right now that CC censored, from what I've read here, half of the fucking episode. This has gotten ridiculous. Terrorists putting death threats are protected by free speech, yet you can't criticise them because, well, you're gonna get killed sooner or later? Fucking sigh.

Edit:
Will South Park have a 16th season?
Well right now they are signed only up to 15th season, but who knows. We're getting at least one season more after this one.

I think Matt and Trey HAVE A CONTRACT FOR SOUTH PARK EPS TILL 2013......correct me if I am wrong on this
I read on wiki that in 2007 they signed a contract for 13-15.

I meant to type 16.

I keep reading 15th season to 2011.

But, they didn't correct the 2013 date in an interview.

Your current contract with Comedy Central takes you to 2013, at which point you’ll have been doing “South Park” for more than 15 years. Could the end of the show be in sight then?
A.

PARKER: Well, it’s not like we’re going to be doing this when we’re 45. [laughs]
STONE: This is the entirety of our adult life, “South Park.” It’s been good that we’ve gone and done the movie “Team America” and these other things, because every time, we realize how great this job is. You go deal with a movie studio for a few weeks and you’re like, man, I just want to go back to my show.
Q.

Even so, you don’t have an idea locked up in a vault somewhere for a possible final episode?
A.

PARKER: We don’t even know what we’re doing next week. I wish we did.
STONE: If we did, we would have already used it and done something else.
PARKER: During a run, we’re like, Oh, my God, we got no ideas. We got no ideas. We would have pulled that out.
STONE: Nothing sits in the safe, because as soon as we put it in the safe, we just take it out of the safe and use it.
Trey Parker is 40, Matt Stone is 38, don't know if that's a hint or not.

edit: oops, meant to say Trey is 40.

is the uncensored version anywhere on the interwebs or is it lost forever?

i was at work so i couldnt watch the episode and my pvr didnt do it's job.... POS.

That's how you want to play it CC? Fine, I have other means of seeing this show, and they don't involve watching commercials.

since when? I've seen every sp this season on spstudios and they didn't have commercials. but yeah, thank god for torrents. :p

I don't care if it was a joke or genuine censorship: it annoyed me throughout, especially at the end.

The rest was great though. Bringing Scott back was genius.

The Scott Tenorman as King Ginger reveal was so perfect you almost have to wonder how long they've been planning the reveal... until you remember its South Park and they don't forward plan anything.

The end 'I've learned something today' speeches being censored was clearly a joke. As was having Muhammed appear as a censor box, obviously. Having the word Muhammed censored, though? I really don't know. And that message on South Park Studios just makes it weirder. Where's that guy that works on the show?

So wait, with Tenorman being Cartman's father, it means that the throw-away "Or maybe 1991 Denver Broncos Football Team" at the end of season 1 was actually true, right :lol ?
Daaamn. Bring the episode online already!
