Wtf? So how are you going to replace the speeches bleeped at the end of 201?

The speeches I'm not sure yet, I might just go back to an older episode and get one of stan's speeches (I'm sure it's derivitive of a season 1 speech anyway), but all the "mohammed" bleeps and the CENSORED bars will be gone.

In the 14 years we've been doing South Park we have never done a show that we couldn't stand behind. We delivered our version of the show to Comedy Central and they made a determination to alter the episode. It wasn't some meta-joke on our part. Comedy Central added the bleeps. In fact, Kyle's customary final speech was about intimidation and fear. It didn't mention Muhammad at all but it got bleeped too. We'll be back next week with a whole new show about something completely different and we'll see what happens to it.

There was an episode where the boys met a killer whale. You missed that one.

Fan service. it was an episode were the boys go to seaworld, and are tricked into thinking the whale talks (they are being pranked into thinking the whale wants to go home, and his home is in the moon). So they steal the whale, go to mexico and send him to the moon using the mexican space program.

edit- well not seaworld, but something similar to it.

wtffff, I dont believe that for one second, I mean think of all the shit that has been done and said in south parks history. I cannot imagine comedy central censoring kyles and santas speech. That HAD to be done by the productionteam themselves

That throwing stick stunt of yours has boomeranged on us.

from the episode where the boys are tricked into thinking the whale was talking to them at the aquarium by two park employees, they tell them that he's from the moon and wants to go back home or something. The boys free the whale and take him to Mexico and have their space agency (MASA) send him to the moon.

Do you really think that they would lie about something that would give Comedy Central such bad pr? I suppose that the speech might not be as innocuous as they're spinning it to be (though I suspect it is that innocuous) but I have no doubt that it was the network that bleeped the speech.

Basically Matt and Trey follow their own morals and we can't judge them. The best part was Penn calling them both "good guys" and Seth quickly butted in to disagree, as if he wanted to say they were assholes.

I saw part of that interview last night. Penn definitely came off a lot better than MacFarlane and that woman.

well thats the thing I guess M and T arent really telling the full story regarding the speech, because I cant see comedy central censoring a speech that is JUST about fear and intimidation.

God, just imagine all the truly truuuuly fucked up things that has been done in south park, it would be very wierd if they really did censor it.

it's clearly in reference to the whole depiction of Muhammad controversy so yeah I could see them censoring it, as ridiculous as any of us think it is...

lmao they were just talking about it on Fox News but their information was all messed up :lol

They were saying that the 200th episode was this past week and that the Islamic extremist group sent the letter this week. The woman on fox news was saying they wonder if the original uncensored version might be leaked out with the "image uncensored". The guy replied saying that maybe since the extremist Islamic group must have saw it uncensored in order to send out the threat. All of their facts were completely fucked up.

Fox News at least research what you are reporting

200st episode last week had the prophet Muhammad in the bear suit as purposeful satirical censorship. The death threat was sent after that episode. The 201st episode appearing this week had Santa Claus appear out of the beat suit and the name of the prophet Muhammad and a speech about intimidation and fear at the end censored. The extremist Islamic group sent out the letter because of last weeks episode. They didn't somehow receive an early copy of this weeks episode.

I won't believe them until they can prove it by disseminating some of the unaltered footage. Hell, just post a screenshot or the audio of the final speech. Until then, this just stinks of them committing to the meta-joke.

As Kyle would say: "Yes dude!" What's the worst that can happen? People get riled up and Comedy Central is forced to show the "unaltered episode" garnering another large viewing and selling a bunch of ads?

yea thats what I feel about this whole thing, fuck come on they showed britney spears blowing her own brains out and walking around without a face for 20min, this during a period where she had a lot of media exposure.

( which would atleast give some incentive for somekind of censorship , but there were none )

Has Britney Spears ever murdered someone for slandering her?

The fact that Comedy Central won't comment at all in response to what Matt and Trey put on their site is suspicious in and of itself. I'm surprised that you are surprised that corporate heads would censor a speech about fear and intimidation to a group that is using fear and intimidation.

Brittany Spears and all the other previous people they offended may threaten to sue. These extremest threatened to kill. You tend to be a little more cautious when peoples lives are at stake. And I hate to look at this from a business prospective, but I think that's what CC was doing. They have at least 1 more season of south park, which is a huge advertising revenue from EA and the like. If Matt and Trey get murdered, there would be no South Park. CC was really trying to protect their money generators by censoring the episode. They don't give a fuck if Matt and Trey get sued, they just don't want them to die.

But we all can agree that these fanatic assholes won this round. They intimidated/terrorized for censorship and got what they wanted.

p.s. Jak140is on a roll! :lol

I'm waiting for Fox News to say something like "George Bush wouldn't have ever let terrorists take away the Americans free speech, but Obama doesn't care!"

I actually think CC did them a favor by bleeping Mohammad's name throughout the episode. I thought that was the joke. Especially considering how often Jesus referred to himself in the episode. What's the point of repeatedly saying Mohammad while his character is still censored. The speech at the end though... wtf. Outside of that and the Mecha Streisand nonsense it was brilliant.

Did "Comedy Central" UK (Paramount Comedy) not show the new episode tonight, or am I going mad?

They advertise all week that we only have to wait 2 days after Americans to see brand new South Park and then they show the Tiger Woods and The Catcher in the Rye episodes again, instead of the second part of a 2 parter?

What happened!?

If they did that I'm sure Comedy Central would bleep it out just to be safe. With the news catching on to the events in South Park these past couple weeks I'm sure there will be a lot more people tuning in just to see what offensive material there is.

okay what the fuck? This ep wasn't even that offensive by south park standards. Just because a handful of al qaeda sympathizers from new york called for the deaths of trey parker and matt stone, we practically have a banned episode of south park. And it didn't even show or mention the name of muhammad (unlike ep 200, which they didn't have a problem streaming even when the death threats came out the day after the ep aired).

It's like wednesday came, and CC pressed the panic button. What the fuck is this shit?

How did you guys uncensor muhammad and how are you uncensoring the show?

its an image of muhammad from season 5. when you see "censored" in the show, that is actually how it is, there is nobody under it. the only censored bit was the saying of muhammad and the speech at the end.
