It's an actual mission, they are deploying some satellites. But they are also trying to land the first stage.

There is a satellite payload on board, and seems to be going well.

Both. The first stage is performing an experimental landing to show rocket reusability. The second stage is deploying multiple mini satellites for Orbcomm, a SpaceX customer.
