90% sure Spider-Man 1 was in the 30-40 range after 3 months.I often sell games too after I've beaten them, sure. Beating blockbuster PS5 games in two days or two months won't make a difference for the price though.
I thought this was a news thread about it being the biggest AAA launch ever for Sony.
How do people just blast through those kinds of games in less than 2 days is beyond me.
You're probably right. The game gets frustrated with low skill players and just shits itself in protest.I always wonder how people get to those bugs. They must be terrible players so they do some stuff that causes it. Hilarious some are though. Only real bug so far I encountered was a NPC standing in a T-pose on top of a building somewhere. Nothing like the examples in this thread so far.
complete the crime POI.
Oh god, these are back?
OK, guess it varies between countries then. In Sweden, new PS5 games cost around $75 and they don't drop for a long time. Spider-Man 1 was for PS4 though and the game prices have increased significantly here with the PS5, and the prices don't drop as quickly. Whatever, this was quite OT.90% sure Spider-Man 1 was in the 30-40 range after 3 months.
Not to discount Nintendo, but apples and oranges. Comparing a tightly crafted 2D-style experience with an open world title isn't really a fair. There is so much more that can go wrong with a game like Spiderman.Mario Wonder is like 93 on Metacritic and flawless. This is at 91.
But did reviewers even finish Spider-Man? We're not hearing about how buggy it is until normal people got their hands on the game. Not to discount Nintendo, but apples and oranges. Not a bug but definitely a mistake. Literally get called out by a developer from another Sony studio
Ok, how about TotK then? Not to discount Nintendo, but apples and oranges. Comparing a tightly crafted 2D-style experience with an open world title isn't really a fair. There is so much more that can go wrong with a game like Spiderman.

Ive been playing for like 10 hours and it’s been a blast. In fact Miles Morales was much worse at release.
Exactly.Yeh sure, if these "normal people" are limited to certain circles and echo chambers.
Exactly.
Some ppl just need ways to cope. Its cool. I'm just patiently waiting for the first week sale numbers.
Bugs galore, quite apt for a 'spider'-man game.
Here's what I have come across:
-Mobs AI not working, they just ignore my presence.
-Enemies getting stuck in water so cannot compete task.
-Spider robot thing getting stuck in vent walls (happened three times)
-feet not touching pedals in the bike ride with Harry.
-lots of Spiderman and NPC clipping
-texture shimmering
seems QA was rushed or ignored to achieve a release and marketing date.
Currently at 62% completion.

So this is coping?
It seems like the people who actually own the system and are playing the game are running into this stuff while those who don't actually have a PS5 and aren't really playing the game are the ones in a "echo chamber".
If you enjoy the first one? NO! Spider-Man 2 has a lot of improvement. Plus you play two Spider-Man Characters.I haven't bought the game yet.
Should I worry?
And I guess you are implying we have another situation of reviewers pulling a Cyberpunk 2077 and turning a blind eye to issues....huh.
I had these 3, two crashes, spinning fixed itself after a few seconds thankfully and a brightly glowing Spider-Man (I took a screenshot, might upload it).Bugs I ran into from beginning to end:
Hard crashes to the dash. Just swinging around New York. Random times.
Frozen controls. Mostly when it transitions from a cut scene to gameplay and often if there's a prompt on screen for a specific move. Have to reload a checkpoint to progress.
Both Peter and Miles spinning like Michael Jackson when trying to interact with a box/POI (the triangle prompt):
Didn't have these.Enemies getting stuck in cars/buses and they can't be killed to complete the crime POI.
Enemies getting stuck under the ground, causing you to reload the checkpoint and restart the whole encounter (happened to me at Coney Island, one robo dog was stuck under the ground).
Those T-stuck animations.
There are certain enviromental things late in the game (spoilers to describe them) that can cause Peter or Miles to get stuck, again causing a checkpoint reload.
I know you didnt, I used that as an example of reviewers vs general public.Never compared it to Cyberpunk. But I don't trust reviewers to put more than 8 hours into a game these days.

Also had weird film grain, turned it down to 2.
Didn't have these.

The spiderman games from ps1 and ps2 are way better.
Yes I did enjoy the first one a lot. A couple of bugs won't destroy the game for me. Although I do hope they are fixed soon.
