From that spoiler pic of Garfield and McGuire together, I am guessing that the universes of the various Peters are being partially merged or crossing over, like in Into the Spider-Verse. That or Peter is hopping through universes and dragging along their version of Pete with him into the next.

Either way, I hope McGuire's Peter is fashioned after the era of the comics when he was a teacher, blended with Spider-Girl (Mayday Parker). He married MJ, they had a daughter, in McGuire Peter fashion he finally realized that the best thing to do to keep his loved ones safe was to give up "the life", and that's where Holland Peter finds him.

Garfield's Pete, I don't really care. But it would be cool if he went the route of being some kind of young tech company CEO whiz.

2) A proper Gwen Stacey arc. They did it in TASM2 which was great, but the movie itself was bad ;_;

I was just going to watch the Garfield movies again, because I rewatch the Raimi movies every year and could probably recite them nearly line by line from memory by now.

I wouldn't say either Maguire or Garfield are there to prop Holland up. Holland does a fantastic job at portraying Parker/Spider-Man, it's just the producers and screenwriters haven't given him anything decent to work with. It's no different to Jodie Whittaker in Doctor Who - the character, in itself. is brilliant but the overall story arcs and plots have been awful. Holland has the charm and charisma that fits Parker to a tee, but without a decent script it just falls flat on it's face.

Too early to tell of course but the cynic in me suspects that the older spider-mans might act out of character and do stupid things so that the new spider-man will clean up their mess and look better than them in the process. But it's also possible the writers will treat them all with respect and they all come out looking good in the story.

I think there will be more reverence for those versions than that. Not only did Kevin Feige work on the original trilogy, but I don’t think Sony wants to portray their versions of Spider-Man being incompetent in comparison to the Marvel version. Might bruise their ego.

I hope they do show the Maguire/Garfield Spider-Men the respect they deserve, but I hope they don't do it in a way where Holland becomes a background character. I have a strong feeling that Holland's Spider-Man will have to help the others' find a balance between real-life and Spider-life. Maguire's Parker focused too much on MJ and put the superhero life on the shelf too much, whereas Garfield's focused too much on Spider-Man and put real-life on the shelf. Holland's seems to have struck a balance - apart from having his identity blown, obviously - so maybe he can help them.

All I really ever want in a Spider-Man movie is two things:

1) Web Cartridges. Peter is supposed to be a brilliant scientific mind. Show that.
2) A proper Gwen Stacey arc. They did it in TASM2 which was great, but the movie itself was bad ;_;

If I can't have those two things, at least give me a proper Symbiote storyline. I know that's out the window now. But they had a perfect opportunity to set it up with Infinity War / Endgame, but didn't (for obvious reasons).

I think MJ( Michelle) is gonna be killed by the Green Goblin on the bridge in the trailer
Gwen Stacy was killed by the Green Goblin on the George Washington Bridge

although this was in a Clocktower in TASM2

Which imo was a fantastic scene.
and this was also referenced in Spider-Man 2002 but with Mary Jan, but Peter saved her which I believe was the same Bridge too

And this another reason why I disagree with people who say MJ( Michelle Jones) is MJ (Mary Jane Watson) in this universe
I believe they are two different characters and I think she show up either later in the sequelo or at the end
and Peter will meet her when he hears someone call her by MJ.
obviously Peter will automatically think Michelle, and that's how they'll meet.
I think that would be a perfect end cut for the movie

I don't think that's true. That's just based on a lazy trailer VFX person using a picture of the PlayStation 4 Raimi suit in the Morbius trailer. All of the stuff in Morbius (JJ, Vulture) are the from the MCU Spider-Man. Feige even said Spider-Man would be able to cross cinematic universes, and he was talking about Holland when he said that.
