Same suit.....they both love the blue suit....so he is in Toby McGuire universe.

You can blame Sony for that. They're so desperate for MCU money that the deal requires each of the Marvel produced Spider-Man movies to include a MCU character.
I thought Marvel has creative control?
Seems like Marvel gets all the credit unless it's bad, then it's Sony's fault.🤔

Btw, despite being fired Andrew Garfield was Contracted to play Spider-Man for an additional 4 films not including TASM2.

That contract was gonna expire in 2024.

I wonder if Sony renewed his contract or continued it?
And has Holland renewed his contract? I know the current one ends with No Way Home.
And Also was the rumours true about Tobey wanting more then a one off appearance 🤔
Could we really be getting more OG & TASM Spidy films 😳

Don't care what everyone else thinks but Garfield is head and shoulders the best actor to play Spidey, I only wish TASM 2 turned out better and we got the payoff on the Sinister Six tease at the end. I'm still bitter about how that series ended and how it could've been.

Peter Parker has never acted as cool as Garfield, not even in his most successful moments.
Garfield was definitely the cool kid Spidey tho, and he even acted like a bully when in the suit.

I don't mind Tom's Spider Man, but I just think this
giphy.webp

Is the best scene in the MCU with him in.
And that's disappointing.

Nice trailer. Love Dr. Strange too. Easily second best MCU hero after the Iron Man. Without him Disney would have nothing now.

Same, Strange as a character just has more depth and is far more interesting both in terms of powers and personality than many of the other heroes, Strange has a dark side to him, his smugness and arrogance, that means his story could really go a lot of ways.

A lot of the other heroes now just feel like alt colours of more popular characters who have left the MCU, nobody gives a crap about falcon, war machine etc.

Tweet is about a theory where although we see him as Tom Holland, he's in the Raimi universe and the characters from there are seeing him as Tobey Maguire. This is because they're the same person but from different universes. The outfit they're wearing matches and the way the trailer cuts has Doc Ock greeting him are the hints at that.

Probably not true but an interesting theory.

Not a bad theory and kinda fits with the title "No Way Home."

I still think Tom Holland plays the best Spider-man while Tobey Maguire plays the best Peter Parker, Andrew Garfield has nothing on either.
Nah he has Spider-Man.
Tom's Peter & Spider-Man are the same 😕

Why not? This is the best Spider-man to date. Toby was too old, and played a bit too much of a sad-sack. Garfield was a bit too much of a jerk. Holland plays a good mix of naive and smart, and he looks the right age for a hs Parker. That and he's actually athletic enough to be a convincing hero.

I think with Marvel's involvement, we've gotten 2 of the best outings for the character. Raimi's 2nd film is still the best one to date, but the 2 Holland Spideys have been good. This trailer gives me hope that we'll actually see Spider-man taking on a supervillain, instead of regular dudes who had fancy tech (Vulture and Mysterio). Given that he's probably the physically strongest Avenger now, he's deserving of a foe who can push him to his limits. Especially now that he's kinda matured into the role, with full access to Stark tech.
I didn't know Tom Holland had a gaf account.

Personally I don't think the first Raimi Spider-Man film has aged very well, quite corny in a few ways. The 2nd Raimi film is god tier and the 3rd film is ...... just there.
ASM films are just terrible across the board.
Tom Holland is my Spidey, I just wish he could have his own film as others have pointed out.

At the very least, they are probably set to return in Secret Wars.

Damn Dr Strange is really awesome. For me he surpassed Iron Man.

I always thought of him as a wise sage but he's just a fumbling idiot in this trailer. Wearing his cape over a winter jacket is just... wtf.

"Oops I got distracted and messed up this crazy insanely powerful and dangerous spell and fucked up the entire Multiverse", come on dude. Hopefully there's a reason for all that.

In anticipation of this I watched far from home finally. I wish I hadn't. I like Tom Holland as Spiderman but I think his solo films have been shit tier. His best showing is still in Civil War by far.

I think all iterations on Spider Man are solid in some way, but Tom's movies are 2nd best. It may be my Raimi/Tobey era bias, but they're not the stories I wanted dealt with and had some weird changes. Still solid. What carries Tom Holland Spiderman for me is the character arc that deals with things outside his movies.

FFH is one of the worst Spider-Man movies. It was praised to the moon upon release, but slowly people are coming around on the fact that it’s got no emotional hook, wooden characters, and sloppy writing.
Hell, even the special effects are average, despite the Mysterio sequence being compared to the cerebral quality of “The Matrix” and such in reviews.

Points for them trying to put Spider-Man in a new location, a few good comedy bits (even though they too often deflate tension), and the attempt at a fun vacation vibe, but comparing this as a sequel to Raimi’s Spider-Man 2, helps you realize it’s a dud.
I never once actually felt bad or empathized much with this version of Peter. It all feels too easy. Too hollow.

I do love Homcoming though. Somehow that film captures the vibrant, bouncy side of Spider-Man in a way that works much better for me.

Nah, Far From Home is amazing.
The scene with Mysterio fucking with Peter is chefs kiss.
And the final set piece has some incredible choreography, camera work and music.

This was one of my biggest gripes. The constant onslaught of crappy Marvel humour that didn't land. The scene with Nick Fury in Peter's room with the constant knocking on the door was the upmost cringe and completely unfunny. That and this version of MJ is just shit.
