That Japanese price doesn't make it seem like you save any money here. Maybe 20 bucks?
Step 1: Release overpriced accessories.
Step 2: Rerelease overpriced accessories in a multitude of increasingly desirable colors and designs over a relatively short time period.
Step 3: Profit.
Limited Edition joy-cons released NES Classic style. Watch the money pour in.

But I'd rather not pay importing fees.Region free hardware in every way, so it really doesn't matter.

I don't know about Japan but it's not common here to discount a successful product just 3 months from launch.
I have no idea where to click there. I want the case and the new Joy-Cons, but I don't even know if they can be shipped to Argentina.Everything is up on Amazon Japan. Will ship to the US:

20 bucks would be a great savings for the Switch at this point. That Japanese price doesn't make it seem like you save any money here. Maybe 20 bucks?

EDIT: you can choose to display the website in English. That's it, I'm getting those controllers if they can be shipped here!
EDIT 2: No shipping to Argentina. The dream is dead.
Are they up on any of the European Amazon stores yet? I searched on UK and Spain and didn't find them.Yep, same problem here. i want those joy cons
I guess we only have the Amazon Europe option for now
Japan's hella thirsty for anything Splatoon, I guess.Wow, Joy-Cons are sold out at standard price on Amazon.jp already![]()
If it's any consolation, the Pro Controller sold out way before.Wow, Joy-Cons are sold out at standard price on Amazon.jp already![]()
Not those colors (green, pink), they will be available in autumn (spring for us).Are they up on any of the European Amazon stores yet? I searched on UK and Spain and didn't find them.
I assume they know the thirst is REAL in Japan for Splatoon and are (wisely) going to send those JoyCons there for launch.Huh, I wonder why North America isn't getting the watermelon joy-cons in time for Splatoon 2 :-/
Thanks, I'll wait until then and try to get them delivered here. I could preorder the yellow ones from Amazon Spain right now, but these green/pink ones are more tempting. Not those colors (green, pink), they will be available in autumn (spring for us).
They have blue, red, yellow and grey right now
Will the usa splatoon 2 switch bundle include the new color joycons?

I really, really like controllers in different colours, especially when the Switch regognizes the colour of the joycon. Makes couch MP so much easier when everyone immediately knows what controller is theirs. No matter how drunkely you are playing FIFA, you will always see that pink joycon and thus control the right team. Or am I only one who has tried to play with a team and got angry because controls wouldn't work, just to notice that I tried to move the wrong team the whole time...
I know that there was Wiimotes (and handhelds) with lots of colours, but this is different. I like the neon colours so much. Makes me think my childhood <3
Where have you been? Controllers in different colors have been a big thing this and last gen.
I'm not aware of a system ever recognising the colour before. Has that been a thing?
Ugh? You can get XBox 1/360 and PlayStation 4 controllers in a slew of colors. Now you can pretty much get a XB1 custom controller in any color variation.
You could get N64 controllers in any colour you liked, but the console doesn't know what colour controller you are using, and neither does the PS4. (The PS4 can do a similar thing with the light colour, though.)
Again, his point was that the Switch identifies the colour of the controller. It knows if you are using a grey, red or blue joy-con, and can display that information in-game to make identifying your player easier. Can the XB1 do that?
I need them to calm down now. It's been months. Already have Blue, Red, and soon Watermelon, and Yellow.Im going to have so many joy cons in so many different colors soon. :lol
