I'm really glad this game is so fun! Picked it up along with the three pack of Amiibos earlier today and finally got to play. Got to level four in multiplayer and did the first few single player missions, which are surprisingly enjoyable. Definitely the most unique game I've played in ages.

First few matches went smoothly but now I'm getting communication errors all the time :\

He means something like OoT3D or WWHD, where both gyro and stick are used for x and y movement

Story mode is fun. Still missing some scrolls but beat the first 2 bosses. Also working on the squid amiibo challenges to unlock the costume. Unlocked the helmet so far.
In my experience those are the worst games because it lags up and my ink won't show up. =
You can't aim up and down with the right stick. It's super jarring for me and no amount of playing with it is getting me used to it.

That's super cute, didn't even notice that.
Yeah, it's kind of a pain. Luckily, it could probably be patched in easily if enough of us complain.

Damn, I wish the new content was coming in July instead of August. It's already feeling a bit thin in terms of content in the multiplayer. Still loving it and everything, but I don't want to wait > 2 months to get the new content.
New content is supposed to come regularly over the summer. I think they said new maps every two weeks too.

Yeah it's an option at the main menu.
I feel like I see a lot of female inklings. If they're actually female players or not is up in the air though.

You can change your gender and eye/skin color at any time without affecting your progress. Based on my playtime, I've been seeing more girl squiddies than guys, if only by a tiny, tiny margin.

I'm guessing there were more rollers on tonight? Judging from the guy saying roller is ez mode and all the rest of the weapons suck. Played all night before mostly jpn people, but most using some form of splattershot, or at least the good ones were. And people still not knowing how to use the charger. Got a lot of high scores with the standard Charger and Squiffer though.

I really, really like this game. The matchmaking has been flawless for me, and the "classic" gamepad game while you wait is dumb fun.
That said, I don't understand why there isn't the option to play with dual-sticks, but also have motion on the tablet still contribute to aiming. Or why you can't change any of the control options in-game.

Thanks so much. I'll go with my usually method of playing with my skin, eye color and gender and switch to the girl sometimes. That school girl outfit won't go to waste.

I think it says it's only for the local multiplayer mode, so you can use gyro controls. someone should try it, lol
