Splatoon |OT| Squidstyler

I played maybe about 3 hours of splatoon singleplayer, only reason I stopped being my gamepad battery was dying, but I was having a blast, also, it seems everyone has a splatoon miiverse post for their character, I dont remember it giving me the option to do this, unless im suppose to go to the lobby, I just went straight to singleplayer because of the story and to get some practice in so I wont look like a scrub.

Go to the mailbox with the Miiverse logo in the plaza.

So regarding the whole "Gyro On/Off" debate. The only answer that makes any sense is on. It's basically like control vs keyboard and mouse in shooters. It's just more efficient and more effective, you just have to learn to use it properly. I guarantee you if you could put a team of four gyro users vs a team of four analog stick users, assuming both teams are of equal skill, the gyro users would win. No question.

Question to those who got far in the Single Player

Is Bluefin Depot a decent 'open' octoling stage? Since the others Octoling stages are all either existing MP maps or confirmed to be coming, it could give a decent idea to another one

Yes, that's one of the upcoming MP maps.

So I caved and bought it today. Not 100% happy with my purchase, but not hating it either.

Love the art style, the world, the weapons, yadda yadda.

What's to hate? I think the controls are rabid dog shit. I tried with motion, without motion, up and down on sensitivity, and yeah...worst controls in a shooter ever. Anyone defending this is high. :/ I have 1/10th of my precision from say a Call of Duty or Halo compared to here. Thank goodness this game doesn't have headshots mattering (does it?) because there's no way in hell you'll pop a dome intentionally.

Yoooo, git gud son, aint no aim assist for you here. bout dat pure skill and movement.

Are the Amiibo challenges/costumes only unlocked after I finish the story mode? I scanned all 3 amiibos and nothing happened...

The challenges are based on story mode levels. You need to complete the story mode level so that you unlock the amiibo challenge level of it.

Sorry to ask this question. I did a search, but couldn't get the answer I needed.

For Turf Wars, or anything in the game, can I use the Pro Controller? From what I read so far, it seems like the Pro Controller only works in Battle Dojo. Is this true?

Yeah only Gamepad for majority of the game. Pro controller only works for dojo.

Counter Strike people FFS!

The object of the game is to paint the map with as much of your colour as possible, Not camping at the top of a higher area death matching all through the map...
