Yep, love the range and damage...but god damned you run outta ink quickly.
Got the game last night, played a couple of matches (up to rank 5, so not a whole lot) and went to bed. Checked out the single player today and ive been putting all of my time into that for right now. I dig it a lot, its like one of those super platformy sections from a Ratchet game except stretched out for a few hours instead of being a couple minutes in one stage. Im on the fourth set and every stage or two introduces a new enemy or obstacle type, they get a lot out of mileage from the games basic mechanics.
Wow. I was here at 12:06, clicked it, and it was out. What. MY GOD.
In other news, having a lot of fun with this game. When will the zip lines and sponges from first player be implemented into multiplayer matches?

I was trying really hard to keep my new age Takamaru love theme going and handed the sprite work to RagnarokX who delivered in spades.

Its pretty great. But sometimes the low rate of fire leaves you completly open. But is so long range and the shots are pretty powerful that is super fun to use against short range splatters, dynamo rollers and even people perched in towers.
Was the one I was using before I got the aerospray gold to get lots of points fast for money and experience. Maybe is time to change back to it.

Quick theory about Splatoon and Pikmin. (Spoilers)
They both take place in a post apocalyptic world. What if they happen to coexist on the very same planet/timeframe? Squids in the makrocosmos, Pikmin in the microcosmos.
Jet Squelcher, Burst Bomb, Kraken loadout is super underrated. I've been using it in Ranked play and have completely dominated in Splat Zones on all maps. I'm B+ currently.
Aerospray and Krak-On are definitely used a lot, but they aren't guaranteed victories like many believe them to be. Aerospray racks up a lot of points due to its amazing ink coverage, but kills are important as well, particularly in the last 30 seconds of battle. Last-Ditch Effort as an upgrade really helps counter the Aerospray's work, and with my Jet Squelcher, I try to pick them out from just outside their range and make sure they're wasting time at respawn before the game ends.
How long did this last?
I already have my 3 pack but damn it looks like it went quick.
This part got me good.

I think it depends on the content that rolls out for me. How much I like it and all that. Its going to be a tough year to choose considering this, Witcher 3, Bloodborne and potentially MGS5.

Right now it's a toss up between this and Bloodborne. I'll have to see what the extra content provides for Splatoon, along with how long the community lasts.

You know what, Nintendo should do a thing where it detects if you had one player who earned 0 points, and give that team pity points. Maybe a flat 300, so if you still manage to win when down a person you get 600. Good incentive to keep going if you notice you're down a man.

yeah it's pretty easily going to be my GotY. I just don't see how anything else could come close to feeling as good as Splatoon does to play. this might end up being one of my favorite games period but I'll revisit that in like a year or so haha.
I've already put about 35-40 hours into the game and that is not something I've done.....well ever to be honest
