Splatoon |OT2| Prepare to Dye

Ranked matches are fucking intense. I find most matches are much more even now - less of one team absolutely dominating (and when that does happen, the losing team can actually hold their own and keep them at bay as the timer ticks down).

The skatepark level is god-tier in ranked.
 
Oh wow I did my first Blackbelly Skatepark matches in splat zones, that was fucking nuts. Is it even possible to win by knockout on that one? It felt like the zone was changing hands every couple of seconds.

Of course it is. It just requires much better zone management. You'd be surprised how often people push forward while leaving their own zone untouched. It's especially common in the lower ranks.

you basically have to take both zones and then somehow manage to time them out in that wasteland of a skatepark between their spawn and the zones without letting a single one beeline out the right-side sneakypath.

possible but difficult because not only are you perpetually playing a war for both the zones which can't be seen from one another, but you've also got to keep enough squids alive to push into the splatting fields - a difficult job when that entire area is free for snipers and inkzookers

It was delayed due to matchmaking problems that happened in Japan's splatfest that still haven't been fixed. Nothing's known about when it will be now.

lol I think my team was guilty of that, at least after we had filled our zone the first time. This one Japanese roller in particular was so persistent in coming back to our base while no one on my team was there to guard it.

Weirdly everyone in my group was using fairly short range weapons. I had the longest range weapon in the room with my dual squelcher
 
Finished the single player today and the final boss was definitely the highlight of the whole campaign.

Now that I unlocked the dynamo rollers I finally understand how to actually use rollers in general. Sneaking up on someone and taking then out with a single flick is very satisfying and I even managed to get s triple with the dynamo on splatzones.
 
My screen was full of ink because my teammate beside me was splatted. I thought I died and stood there for a full five seconds beside a splat zone wondering why I wasn't respawning. Then I was like oh shit I'm still in the game. God knows why no enemy squid splatted me.

THis is the WORST in ranked.

This happened to me too. Luckily it was like three seconds before the end of the match. I didn't realize I was still alive until after it was over

I just finished it too and yeah it's a really awesome fight.

This actually happens to me all the time, I haven't been able to exactly pin down what makes my brain think I'm dead. But I feel like it's a small design flaw that needs to be addressed somehow.

Made quite a bit of cash. I'm hoping tomorrow Spyke will give me a replica of gear I ordered. Don't try your best Spyke, just get the god damn same thing using your underground mafia or something.
