Splatoon |OT2| Prepare to Dye

That's the complete opposite problem I have with the catwalks. People shoot up quite often and it's quite difficult to track people through the grates while on top of the catwalk because they obscure your vision.

It sounds like the players you were going aganist already caught on to the tactic. I found I could get away with doing this for 2 or 3 matches before the other team catching on and starts actively chasing after me. Also, I usually don't fire at enemy players below, just firing straight ahead and let the ink spray paint ground below.

Gal users wasn't an issue from my brief experience. Regardless of what weapon you face, getting up close is the problem you need to solve anyway.
Not if you are a Squelcher or .96 user, then you have to keep a safe distance to kill people using your range
Edit: wait misunderstood it

If we're going with anecdotal experiences...

I'm not sure what you're saying Zero, just because you're a long range weapon doesn't mean people automatically stay at long range from you. I'm saying a Luna Blaster user have to figure out how to get into close range whichever weapon they're facing against.

*Looks at friend list*

Azure J has not accepted FQ sent 3 weeks ago.

Check your friends list dude.

Nintendo needs to raise the friends list limit for NNIDs.

Also, funny little thing I didn't know about this game: there are custom animations that play for every weapon type you "preview" with the right thumbstick click when browsing Sheldon's store. Don't know how I didn't see this when I knew it existed for the other gear (hats, tops and shoes).

Yeah I read it wrong, I agree, being a roller and inkbrush user, I wonder if I'd do well as with the Luna, since the method to kill is similar

Kinda curious to see how Ninja Luna would work, but I'm not investing in that anytime soon. Matter of fact, I'm kinda starting to deviate a bit from the Ninja meta in general. I'm having a wild amount of fun just going HAM with the Inkbrush (my current build has nothing going for the weapon yet I've been pretty successful with it overall just sticking to a "just keep moving" attitude) and 52 Gal
(hypocrite)
and it seems like a lot of the fundamentals I picked up with the brush in general are paying off even without the ninja stuff.

I still think Ninja Brush is a pretty amazing thing, but don't rely on it much, especially in a meta full of Echolocator.

It's a fun weapon, but it really needs space to work, moreso than most of the weapons here.

That can be generalized to almost any weapon though, especially chargers, you should be more specific.
Your turn. What makes it great when approaching options are severely limited? You say the problem is getting close, but how are you supposed to do that when your team runs blindly into the meatgrinder of Squelchers and Gals? Try that scenario at the Dome. The ramps and chokepoints are covered, all but your spawn is inked by the enemy, etc. Getting close is a suicide mission all of the time unless one of them slips up.

The weapon itself is actually really great at defense. I've used it to successfully defend the Rig. It's decent at offense when you have the upper hand, but crumbles when pressure is applied by the long-range rapid fire weapons, at least in my hands, especially if being sneaky fails.

Maybe it's just not as great at the Kelp Dome. That's where most of my issues are with this weapon when they have you in an iron grip.

Have you been spawn camped by long range weapons with bad teammates? It's nearly useless. Short range, no projectiles, etc. At least the other weapons have range.

... let's just say I don't judge weapons by their ability of breaking out of being spawn camped because I would not use a lot of weapons given that criteria.

I think I'm not used to playing multiplayer games because I actually get a bit of adrenaline and get a bit shaky after I play. Like I can't go to bed afterwards.

I love this community so much. :lol

I'm not dismissing the weapon. I made an edit to one of my previous posts. My main issue is at the Kelp Dome after it is mostly taken over by the enemy and teammates who go at it solo and run into squidgrinders.

It's a decent weapon, maybe even superb at defending, but echolocators, Squelchers, and Gals make it crumble hard in my experience, especially at the Dome.

Back to experimenting with it.

I don't think that happens because you're using a Luna Blaster... The same thing can happen if a team only has short range weapons vs a team with all long range weapons regardless of whether it's a Luna Blaster or not.

I think it's interesting because of it's short but wide area. For most short-range weapons you have to get close and still aim well. For this weapon, it's more skewed towards finding a way to get close and once you get close, the wide area sort of compensates for aiming a bit. So it may be an interesting weapon for people who like to get creative with approaches but are not as great at precise targeting. Once in close range, the battle favors the Luna Blaster. I think Saltspray Rig may be the best map for it given all the mini walls you can climb over and it's full of obstacles.

I guess I'm coming off as super dismissive of it. It was more of an observation. It's an excellent ink spreader. It's great at defense, ok at frontal offense, has the Inkzooka to cover its long-range weakness, ink mines to play mind games, etc. Fast rate of fire (compared to other blasters), short and wide shots, etc. I'm still messing around with it.

Sorry, my bad...thought it will hit the stores later.
So you guys think, we will get 2 millions by year end? Or rather not?

I'd love to see it sell well, not sure it can hit 2 million that fast. Seeing as the one platform it is on is the Wii U which doesn't exactly have the biggest install base it might be hard. It would be pretty insane, though.

Man, new game modes can't come soon enough. I'm sick and tired of ranked and people who refuse to cover the stupid splat zone. I lost 6 matches in a row because of people running around doing absolutely nothing. One match it was basically a 1v4 while the other 3 ran around trying to ambush the enemies from behind and dying every fucking time. The other matches at least one genius tried the same, dying repeatedly.

Splatoon needs a game mode where your sole purpose is to kill people. Covering the ground is just necessary for movement. At least all those people can go play that one and stop being so useless in other game modes.

What. Blasters are so fun. Last time I played blaster was day 2 or something. Luna plus a few dmg ups works decently well and is a lot of fun.
