Splatoon |OT2| Prepare to Dye

I didn't even know there was a Overtime in ranked. What is the criteria for entering that?

Losing team is in control of the zone at the end of the five minutes. Overtime ends when the winning team takes back control, the losing team takes the lead, or the losing team loses control and can't get it back after a certain amount of time

the inkzooka sucks

only special weapons worth a damn are inkstrike and echolocator

Please be joking. I've gotten triple and quad kills with it. Inkstrike usually hits no one and gets re-inked in 3 seconds. Even if you hit nothing with the inkzooka, it can pin down the enemy so your team takes the zone.

Got it. Interesting feature but it fucked me over hahaha!

Inzooka is godlike, man. Perfect in ranked when people are huddled close or for clearing the zone.

Inkzooka has crazy range. It's like a much better Killer Wail. That weapon telegraphs itself and is static; you can aim the Inkzooka while active.

Inkzooka is great if you have the time, sendou is great with it. But in the heat of the moment, it's more a liability, especially if you're able to get an angle on them.

sendou is a camper, so it's not surprising he enjoys a campers special weapon.

those of us who are more active on the map need to move around bb

killer wail is worse than inkzooka, killer wail is garbage tier..

Inkzooka is amazing for getting kills. I can't see how anyone would dislike it other than them not being able to get kills with it. :p

And in Splat Zones, it is even more amazing.

My favorite thing to do with it is on Kelp Dome where you go to the right side towards the enemy spawn. If you kill someone, they will 90% likely come for a revenge kill and stop you from inking, Just take out the Inkzooka and get them while they're on the ramp. If you're lucky, you'll get someone else as well.

.

once you bring it out the following happens which is why I don't like using it:

1. you move slowly
2. you have to fire like 6? shots to go back to your normal weapon and speed
3. you lose mobility in aiming

so many times I've seen an enemhy w/ an inkzooka and just swim around him and kill his ass, and he can't even move or turn around fast enough to fight back.

It's only useful if you are camping or you are shooting at ppl who are not aware of their surroundings.

A special weapon that is useful only against scrubz is not my kind of weapon m8

As a squelcher I hate inkzooka players.
I'm all like "I'll just stand waaaay over here and shoot them. And then the whip out an inkzooka and shoot me before I can react.

I hope you are not Team Cat because then you will playing the splatfest with an unleveled shirt and will be bringing your team down, man

Don't make me preach the holy book of Inkzooka again. WHOLE PITIFUL TEAMS WIPED OUT IN MERE SECONDS. Great for making comebacks.

Anyways, I'm in love with the blaster class. For someone with shit aim the ability to kill by just shooting in the general direction of somebody is great. Just shoot around corners and under ledges.

Does anyone else notice the character automatically moves forward as they shoot? Like I've been shooting from the top of a ledge not touching the stick and my character will just fall off

I once was about to get pincered by Heng( uses Custom Blaster) and a Luna Blaster user in near the central platform at Bluefin Depot when I brought out my Inkzooka, shot the Luna Blaster near the central sandbags, then 180'd and immediately shot Heng with it. Granted, the 180 shot was a lucky guess based on the known fact that he was hiding in ink somewhere behind me since I saw that I was getting chased by him, but it was just so satisfying to pull off and escape unharmed. I still don't know why he didn't take me out when I was focused on the Luna Blaster. He was probably trying to play it safe and wait my special out. Not many people 180 with an inkzooka.

One thing I've learned when the Carbon Roller came out is that a lot of people suck with the Inkzooka. In the right hands though the Inkzooka can help establish or further solidify your team's control of the map. Also movement speed is only reduced when walking you can still go into squid form and move around just as fast.

Finally hit 40,000 in Squid Jump. Can I please have the other mini games now?

It has a pretty big weakness in that it leaves you prone longer than any other special.
You can still turn in to a squid when you're using it.

Most likely that I thought my team had you covered and I was going for someone else. This is why I should not trust my team. :/

I think how effective inkzooka is very situational, like many other special. Yeah, you probably won't land a kill if all the enemies are expecting it, just like a kraken and a bubble. I believe it's good in the right hands, and is great for killing enemies when they're trying to take back a zone. It's not idiot proof so you can't just activate it whenever you want and get free kills with it. Personally I suck at aiming with it, I'm not sure why I have trouble using this when I can use a charger with decent success.

Yes but the ability to take out multiple people from charger distance in a single shot that dosent give any warning kind of outweighs the vulnerability

More specifically, it has the range of an E-Liter. Inkzooka is tough to use on the mall if you already have control of the center ramp, especially if you try to shoot it lower then you. IIRC, it can't really aim down, but it can aim up, so don't use it on an opponent who is lower than you. I keep forgetting about this.

One thing with the Inkzooka that I've noticed, particularly with more Japanese players lately, is that they seem to be holding ZL as they shoot, basically diving back into their ink the moment after they fire a shot, then immediately pop back out, jump, and fire again, more or less repeated until the special runs out. I'm not sure if that's just an attempt to be more stealthy rather than just standing and firing like a sitting duck, or if that somehow helps to mitigate the weapon's recoil or what, but it's an increasing trend.

I, personally, am dogshit with the inkzooka, just like seemingly every weapon that requires actual aiming, so I try and avoid it on most weapon sets.

And that's why I think it's the best lol. But it's not as though the others are useless. Inkstrike can dominate Splat Zones by forcing timers on the other team. Echolocator doesn't leave you prone at all, and it affects everybody. Bubbler can automatically win you 1 on 1 battles, and is great for making pushes with teammates.

Don't really get the Wail though. It's very situational, doesn't cover any ground, and leaves you prone.

You can still hit people below you but you need some distance.

Anyone playing right now? NNID: chapek9
Added you, I think we've played together before just didn't have you added
I've been getting errors up the ass all night to the point I just stopped trying so I thought nothing of it.
I always have problems connecting with you for some reason, you are always lagging for me and not in a way that's usually good for you, like I usually end up killing you because you move in slow motion

Judging by this, you don't remember this specific skirmish. But yeah, that's what I'm guessing you did, but you didn't travel very far from where I thought I saw your Blaster shot, so there's that. You may have been attempting to swim into my base, but got intercepted by the inkzooka somewhat before you got to it.

Inkzooka really is a weird special. I can use it with decent success, and even if you don't hit anybody with it, you force the enemy to hide from you, wasting precious time and allowing your teammates to paint and gain territory.

I think the recoil is reduced when doing that. It also allows them to be more mobile because the Inkzooka weighs you down hard.

Yeah, it travels downward after a while. Noticed that when trying to hit someone from the cener of the mall and it went over them and hit ground behind them.

On another note, editing with Android is such a chore. =/

After being mostly a Dual Squelcher player, I have to say that the .96 Gal is so sick. It's downright silly on Blackbelly Skatepark when the other team doesn't have a sniper. You can just do tower tricks for days. Being able to jump off, spin around, pick off the person climbing up the tower, and being able to climb back up, is just amazing. Felt like an elevator during some of those matches.

It's a little tricky defending the pier on Saltspray. Unlike with the Squelcher, people just run right up to you, so you really gotta be quick and accurate. Pulled off some amazing 2v1 defenses, but had some hilarious failures as well (killed by an Aerospray? really?).

Had one round where the other team had an immediate disconnect, so I decided to just sit it out, score exactly 1 point, and let them have a 3v3. My team got completely decimated and I think they were mad at me, lol.

It's more situational than some of the other supers, to be sure, but can have its uses. Obviously it works well on long, narrow maps like the warehouse and port if you can catch an opponent in a disadvantageous spot. Other than that, since it has the long telegraph on it, I sort of think of it like a massive-ranged suction bomb. More often than not, someone has time to recognize and dodge out of the way of those as well, but the fact that you're knowingly forcing an opponent into an adjustment can be a handy tool to have on-hand. Good as an anti-camper, or sometimes since it's so long and goes through walls and everything, it lets you create some havoc on the total other side of the stage that the opponent isn't necessarily anticipating. Sometimes, just checking the map to see where enemies are inking and lining a wail up in that direction works out surprisingly well.

It does have its uses like you mentioned, but to me it's a "This weapon has a lesser special and you gotta deal with that if you wanna use it." sort of thing.

I guess one advantage the Wail has over inkzooka is that you don't need to be anywhere near danger to use it.

When I lag hard enough the game slows down my game to a crawl so I probably *was* moving in slow motion.

I rarely have lag issues when my oldest bro's gone though. It's weird, dunnow hy.

The inkzooka sucks. You know it in your hearts to be true.

Back when I only played the Charger with it's grenade special, I was pleased to have the Wail with the Kelp Charger as it felt much more useful. Now that I have switched to Custom Jet Squelcher, it just cannot compare to the satisfaction of the Kraken. I've gotten double Wail kill once or twice, but multiple triple Kraken kills. Now that's a real special.

NERF!
