Splatoon |OT2| Prepare to Dye

They unlock challenges based on the singe-player campaigns where you have to use a certain weapon (e.g. The Inkling girl uses a charger). Completing these unlock gear and new mini-games to play between rounds - also you get a largish sum of money completing each the first time.

Wouldn't say they're useful, but I like the figures and the extra content is quite fun.

There's also the soundtrack you can unlock with Amiibo.

Hah, just watched a video where 4 Dynamo Rollers were on the same team in ranked; I'd be scared as fuck seeing so many hop flings.

Yeah, turf war. And despite losing all the time, I can consistently beat the ink coverage scores of the opposing team and usually range between 5-10 splats handed out, so it's not that I'm unhappy with my own performance -- but losing so many games is still a bummer, regardless.

The key to Turf War is to stay alive during the last minute, and the paint count during that last minute. The 2 minutes before that are just trategic positioning for most maps.

Done or the night early morning, but before I go, Miiverse is the best:

yes. First time was when I didn't understand the scoring. I was trying different weapons out and was using some of the more offensive weapons and going for kills. Ended bottom.

Score seems to be entirely based on how much you paint. K/D is reported but doesn't seem to affect your position (I had an 8:0 in one game and finished bottom, and the guy at the top in my team had a 0:9). Kills are just good to put the opposition back to their spawn and give you more time to push them back/paint more ground.

I know, I do understand the scoring, but even when I was trying my best to avoid any confrontation and concentrate on ground coverage, I was just getting stopped in my tracks. Thing is, even when this was happening I was still having a lot of fun. I can't say enough good things about this game.

It's been fun, Ink Resistance...
I heard that they took the jump debuff on enemy ink off completely, so that's a plus :P
OH GOD more squid hopping around, I knew they should have stayed with rabbits.
Or tofu?

What weapon do you use? Inkbrush, Roller, Charger?
There is different ways of getting unnoticed, specially when the enemy team doesnt know who you are (ahem Heng), try Ninja Squid + Squid Speed + Cold Blooded, it helps on most cases.

Yep, and if you are a InkStrike user, get that special bar up and ready to fire at the last second :D

Apparently Jet Squelcher out ranges Dual Squelcher. Haha.

I'm testing an ink saver build. Ink saver sub and main on hat and clothes, ink recovery on the shoes. Hoping this will make Squelchers and splattershot pros more fun.

Hmm, interesting. I'm using to outranging most anything outside of a charger with my Dual Squelcher, but that explains that one guy beating me in range last night. Had some really solid matches in Ranked; still can't let go of my Dual and Echolocator, no matter how much some other weapons are enticing me.

I thought Jet Squelcher having more range than Dual Squelchers is one of the first things you learn when being introduced to those weapons. I'm surprised people are surprised.

Someone post a new thread.

*We know it sucks to be camped at Urchin Underpass so now we'll turn it around and have the campers feel the pain by trying to get into your base instead*

Are you level 20? Which weapon are you using?
But yeah losing streaks happen, I mostly take a breath and change weapons. It almost always helps ^^

Yep, level 20. My most used weapons are the Tentatek Splattershot (favorite) and the .52 Gal Deco. Been thinking about trying out the Dual Squelcher to see how I do with the extra range. I should probably switch weapons more often, I just tend to get comfortable with a specific toolset.

I mentioned it in the other thread but I am not sure why Ranked mode is the only one getting these new modes. I don't really have a desire to go to ranked as I just like to enjoy the game and have fun. I could still do that in ranked but I know many take the game a bit more seriously in there.

Just go in and have fun and don't worry about the rank so much. Or you can always create another character and do it that way. Think of ranking as a way for better matchmaking.

I agree. Playing some of these modes in a GAF room instead of randoms would be so much fun.

That little tune it plays when it's captured is so cute.

That tune is such a troll.

There it goes my bet that I wouldnt play the game this week... oh well.
Anyway, damn Dynamos will destroy people on this mode!

Well, I personally believe that the ink resistance nerf will nerf dynamo rollers the most. Their mobility is just bad, but we'll see.

Can't say i'm that excited for this update... consider it's ranked only.

Where's the new map? I would rather have that before Splatfest. ;(
