One thing I'm noticing about the plaza is that there is a section on the left where it seems they could add additional stores or just other buildings. Right now it's boarded up. Of course they likely could include other sewer grates in the future.

Yes, I believe so. Apparently there is a schedule for online play and Nintendo employees join in on the action at these specific times.

Music seems really drowned out and quiet in the videos, surprised because it had so much energy in all the trailers and such...

Still on the fence about picking this up Day 1...at this point I'll probably get it around the Fall once a lot of DLC-stuff is out. Unless the Single Player is meaty enough as is.

The people who say the single player will be shallow and weak in this forget this is basically a unique platformer made by Nintendo EAD. I expect lots of fun with the single player, especially the final levels (and hopefully some extra secret levels) and the multiplayer has already proven to be a blast in the test fire. Can't wait for this, though unfortunately it comes out right before finals for me

edit: It would be nice to get some info on all the different gear abilities

^This. I remember seeing a button (X ?) in the gear shops to display ability information. So far, we still don't know anything about several abilities like Comeback, Tenacity, Recon, Coldblooded.

The weirdness of the soundtrack is something I absolutely love. It really does convey the idea that this is pop music squid's would listen too.

It was stated there was one Sunken Scroll in each level. There were 27 shown in the Direct. So at the leas they'll be 27 levels.
