The moment we start getting detailed analysis, the moment the narrative shift to "who buys Switch for 3rd parties?!"

Make up your minds folk. Now we are comparing to PS5Pro? Lol

There's not a PlayStation 4 version of Split Fiction… BTW, why this comparison hurts you? 🤔 You need to relax dude, it's going to be a long journey with The Switch 2 😂😂.

Not surprising. Split Fiction runs very well on Steam Deck and is a locked 60fps on Series S, at nearly max settings. A PS4 version would absolutely be comparable if it was made. Just that nowadays developers don't care to make last gen versions in 2025.

If anything, having Switch 2 run at half the framerate and at reduced settings compared to Series S isn't flattening at all for the Nintendo system.

Not one single 3rd party game shown at the conference looked good. All very choppy and low res except for some positive reports about Cyberpunk. What is really strange is that on paper the Switch 2 sounds really good but going by the actual games tells a different story which leads me to think that not only is the CPU a bottleneck but the small memory bandwidth could be handicaping the system too. The first party stuff looked nice, not impressive, just nice. It's third party stuff that will show what kind of hardware we actually have in Switch 2.

I'm pretty sure Sony and Microsoft don't even want PS4 and Xbox1 ports anymore

Show the difference between Cyberpunk. The people at Digital Foundry found the Switch 2 ran at PS4 levels, which makes sense

He don't hate Nintendo… He hate everything that can "hurt" his beloved PlayStation 5 😂😂
Can't believe someone is a gaming hardware capabilities while playing on console, some people would get their shit together honestly...

BTW I'm very curious to see games like Indiana Jones or Doom Dark Ages on Switch 2, the thing has Ampere RT cores, I'd like to see the performance compared to Series S, are there any changes or it running equally sure to Switch 2 RT hardware advantage?

I don't care about split second clips with youtube compresion. How does the game run?

It's being compared to the PS4, where framerates consistently dip into the 20's while driving and engaging in combat.

The Switch 2 is serviceable, but it will not play a lot of current gen titles like the Witcher 4 or GTA 6, without severe downgrades. Cyberpunk is close to 5 years old at this point. This will just become more apparent as the generation continues

Wait, the game runs at 30fps while docked? This... isn't promising at all.

Switch 2 haters moving the goalposts list:

-Is going to be a Switch Pro less powerful than the PS4
-Is going to be less powerful than the Steamdeck
-Steamdeck is a 2022 handheld and the Switch is $450 Great achievement.
-Is going to be less powerful than the PS4 Pro lol keep dreaming
-Of course is going to be better than consoles from 2013
-120hz screen for a Nintendo Handheld lolol Hopium
-No way is going to be close to the Series S 0% chance

-Lol… is Running PS5/Series 60fps games at 30fps … Not surprised at all<- We are here.

Honestly, Its often one of the first settings I disable on PC, depth of field. I very very rarely toggle it on if they allow me to disable. And screenshots like these should not even have the backgrounds on switch 2 look better than PS5 pro, but imo they do, because excessive DOF is a plague. Why you buy a 4K TV and a Pro console to hide the details?

Left is PS5 pro and right Switch 2. Would you believe it in a blind test? No. DOF fucks the image quality so much.

Nothing to do with power, its just an annoying as fuck effect imo. Overused.

i mean. since when split fiction is a demanding game ? a potato can run this kind of graphics.

I love the Switch 2. i think it has decent power. but its not why I buy nintendo consoles.

I am not gonna buy for example split fiction or even worse, cyberpunk on the switch. not even if its 20$. The switch 2 ( and 1 ) was only for one purpose. playing Nintendo and exclusive games I cant play on PC / consoles.

you must be a super hardcore fanboy and own nothing but the Switch 2 to buy these kinds of inferior ports when basically every other console out there that was released in the past 5 years can play these games better.

I have a PC that can run anything path tracing you throw at it

Still I want a gaming handheld for travel 🤷‍♂️
Yes, mainly for Nintendo games, but I wouldn't mind a game of cyberpunk 2077 in the airplane, cross saves and all.

I mean there must be a market, I have no other explanations for Witcher 3 sales otherwise, which was way worse port than what we see with Cyberpunk 2077.

Do we know how much 28% of total sales of the game actually is ?

for all we know they could have sold 100k copies across the market and the switch with all its userbase managed to sell 28k copies only.

Overall, it looks better on PS5 pro of course (better resolution and framerate). But it's still OK on Switch 2, most people will enjoy their experience on this device. Only "Digital Fraudry" fanboys will say bad things about it.

Agree with you there, i am going to buy a Switch 2 because the first party games, i have a decent PC for third party games and the others consoles for the other exclusives, but some people only can afford one console… More third party games coming to a Nintendo console is great to see and the comparison videos are really entertaining here…

Going to buy Cyberpunk for Switch 2 just for the showcase like i did Witcher 3 and some others games like MLB the Show, NBA2k and Fifa.

Many games will look exactly the same on Switch 2 than other devices. So... with the portable aspect and some advantages (HD rumble 2? GameShare?...), you can still want to buy 3rd party games on Switch 2.

For example, Ys X: Proud Nordic will look exactly the same on Switch 2 or PS5 obviously (well, for now it looks like the game is Switch 2 exclusive anyway). Same thing for Yakuza 0 Director's Cut (4K / 60 fps confirmed by SEGA). On Switch, I understand that people didn't want to buy 3rd party games sometimes, because even AA or indies games were compromised in some way, but now? It will not be the same story.

I have a really good PC, but I still think that playing games on Switch 2 will be better for a lot of reasons. Better energy efficiency, HDMI CEC, less noise, portable...

For Sport games and turn based RPGs i take the portable version above the PC version easily, Can't wait to play the Show26 on my Switch 2 (Thanks Sony)

That is one opinion, amidst dozens on this board, that buy all the systems and PCs. Flock together, because you won't even amount to a drop in the ocean of soon-to-be Switch 2 owners.
