Totobeni said:I think S/S , Blur and ModNation will lose some serious amount of sales going in the same week as the super hyped Alan Wake , RDR and SMG2 , seriously some publishers are as dumb as fuck.

but why is there no boost ?![]()

Im getting all 3 May 18 releases, since they all seem to be THAT good. I loved the Split Second Demo, ive been waiting for Alan Wake for years, and everything they show of Red Dead looks amazing. Its like the end of the year or something.Totobeni said:yup , all of them in less than 8 days.
May/18
Alan Wake
Red Dead Redemption
Split/Second
May/23
Super Mario Galaxy 2
May/25
Blur
ModNation Racers
these arcade racers are going against some of the biggest games this gen ,they will fucking bomb then Sony ,Activation and Disney will blame the gamers and say the arcade racing genre is dead let's make more shooters.

Prince of Persia is the 18th as well. I'm an Ubi Montreal fanboy, so I'll probably throw that one in firstTotobeni said:yup , all of them in less than 8 days.

wtf i forgot about the pop. I dont know about that one though. Visuals are very unimpressive, and the game screams of Movie Cash-in symptoms.Team Klimt said:Prince of Persia is the 18th as well. I'm an Ubi Montreal fanboy, so I'll probably throw that one in first
I can't remember a single week EVER that had so many high-profile releases. So stupid -all of these games risk losing sales to each other. Lost Planet the week before too. God damn.
Yeah, incredibly stupid decision from either Activision or Disney to release SS and Blur almost simultanously. I forgot which company made the ultimate decision to change the release date accordingly, but at least it was Activision who delayed Blur by 6 months or so. Either way, the release dates will hurt sales of both games.Totobeni said:these arcade racers are going against some of the biggest games this gen ,they will fucking bomb then Sony ,Activation and Disney will blame the gamers and say the arcade racing genre is dead let's make more shooters.

Totobeni said:huh that weird :/
look like PS3 is the lead version , even that the studio was always showing 360 version mostly to the press.

Here's the DF report.
I hope the hyper cars won't be available online unless the cars are unlocked for everyone participating. Otherwise it seems like these cars could become an automatic win button.Fortinbras said:If you feel the game is too slow you can always buy faster cars:

I don't see why not, they normally add the credit a day or so after when the game ships.Karram said:So I gave the demo another chance and for some reason I liked it. Now I'll probably buy it from Amazon but before I do I would like to know if I buy both Read dead Redemption and Split Second I'll have 2 Gift cards with the Amount of $30, can I then use both of them at once to buy Blur ?
Well I was about to pre-order it this morning but it was back to $60magnificent83 said:I don't see why not, they normally add the credit a day or so after when the game ships.

Split/Second is an explosive shot of distilled arcade energy; its action thats fuelled by the slick production of the Hollywood a-list, and racing thats infused with an infectious amount of fun. Armed with nothing more than a handful of dynamite, developer Black Rock has shook up the racing genre in much the same way that Criterion did nearly nine years ago with the original Burnout.
