Sports question for US GAF

What is your favourite team sports to follow and watch on TV or live? Best venue you have been to? And so on.

Football - NFL or NCAA Football? Favourite team?

Baseball - Major or Minor League, College, or some other leagues you like to watch? Favourite team?

Hockey - NHL or AHL? Favourite team?

Basketball - NBA or NCAA basketball? Favourite team?

Soccer - MLS? Or are there other stuff? Favourite teams?

As a non american my favourite is NFL Football and my team since starting following the sport in '07 is Cowboys. Fairly recently started watching some Baseball and after going to a Fenway ballgame ive started following Red Sox. Also have visited AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX and Metlife Stadium in NJ but yet to see a game tho.

In order:

Football: Your world champion New England Patriots

Baseball: Boston Red Sox

Hockey: Boston Bruins

Basketball: Boston Celtics

A toss up between Fenway and Gillette to see a game. Fenway is just like a cathedral of baseball. Gillette is awesome. Gillette is so much nicer than the old Foxboro Stadium.

Well, this thread can only go up from here.

My favorite sports team of all time is the San Francisco 49ers, been a fan even before I was born, lol. The best venue I've ever been to was AT&T Park.

-Football: NFL, don't really care for NCAAF unless it pertains to the NFL Draft.

-Baseball: MLB, favorite team is the San Francisco Giants.

-Hockey: I don't watch it.

-Basketball: Grew up idolizing Michael Jordan, but haven't really enjoyed the NBA since the early 2000s. I'll leave it at that.

-Fútbol: I watch Liga MX, mainly because it's how me and my dad bond. Don't really care for the European stuff (which I know is fucking blasphemy). Favorite team LAS CHIVAS RAYADAS DE GUADALAJARA!

I also like watching both the Mexican and American national teams (LMAO)

Into football and basketball the most, though I can get into baseball when it gets fun in September. I'm a fan of my local teams (Cardinals/Suns/Diamondbacks). Not a super big fan of going to sports live as the home experience is so much better, but I've seen all 4 major sports in person.

Never could get into hockey or soccer. Something about the concept of a goalie just bothers me.

Football - NFL. Kansas City Chiefs.

Baseball - MLB. Kansas City Royals.

Hockey - NHL. Phoenix Coyotes.

Basketball - NBA. Phoenix Suns.

Soccer - No thanks.

KC transplant living in Phoenix. Kansas City does not have an NBA or NHL team or I would probably root for them.

Interesting perspective, OP. How closely do you follow the NFL?

NHL: I've to games in Vancouver, NY (MSG), NJ, Detroit (RIP The Joe), and Montréal. Favorites would be MSG (went for a ECF game), Montréal, and the Joe.

NFL: Seahawks Stadium (back when it was still called that) and MetLife stadium. The first is obviously better.

MLB: Safeco Field, AT&T Park, Yankee Stadium, and Citi Field. I haven't been to Safeco in over a decade unfortunately, but Citi is way better than Yankee Stadium, and AT&T park is quite nice. My favorite baseball stadium is Koushien in Osaka though.

Edit: favorite teams? Red Wings, Mariners, Seahawks. RIP Sonics.

I follow the home team Colts when it comes to the NFL.

More than anything I'm a Los Angeles Lakers fan.

Don't care for hockey...

Stopped caring for baseball after Chipper Jones retired.

Like to watch soccer but not enough to say I have a favorite...if I had to choose I like to watch Real Madrid.

Favorite tennis player was Martina Hingis.

I follow NFL very closely in fact i watch the NFL draft, follow the pre-season games and Sundays are Gameday for me. The whole sunday evenings are dedicated to football here, since the 1 PM est games start 7 pm here.

edit: I love Football like ALOT, but unfortenately i barely watch any college football, would like to watch more but College football dont have a service like NFL Gamepass it seems. Then i would watch it more.

College football in general.

Best venue: Saw the Saints play Tampa Bay in the Superdome the second game after re-opening after Katrina. Watched Reggie Bush score his first NFL touchdown. Pretty damn cool.

KY basketball.

Saw the braves and the Mets play in Atlanta a long time ago. That was pretty cool too.

The first choice is my favorite team, the second is my "backup" (or team I won't actively root against unless they're playing my fave). I live in the SF Bay Area so I've been to all the stadiums for the home teams (except for the Quakes' Avaya Stadium).

Football - Green Bay Packers/San Francisco Forty Niners

Baseball - San Francisco Giants/New York Yankees

Hockey - Toronto Maple Leafs/San Jose Sharks

Basketball - Los Angeles Lakers/Golden State Warriors

Soccer - Barcelona/Brazil/San Jose Earthquakes

I hate Levi's Stadium cause of the way it was built where most of the place is an oven with no shade. Good food and beer though. Also went to the Baltimore Ravens stadium but that was for some CONCACAF games a few years ago.
AT&T Park is probably my favorite sports venue that I've attended. I love SF weather and the food/beer there is delicious (the Anchor Taproom and some crab sandwiches, mmmmmmmmmmm)
SAP Center I've been to countless times (only twice for hockey) as it's the nearest large venue for concerts. Always hated it cause it gets stupid packed, the food sucks, and they can never keep their goddamn credit card machines from failing when buying merchandise.
Oracle Arena is okay but I've only been to one Warriors/Lakers game here. Been a few more times for concerts but it's never really impressed me.

Football - New England Patriots (my lone bright spot)

Baseball - Toronto Blue Jays

Hockey - Vancouver Canucks (my #1 overall) & Edmonton Oilers (more of a secondary)

Basketball - Toronto Raptors I guess?

Soccer - the only soccer teams I ever support are national ones (Germany for Men & Canada for Women)

I'm an Edmontonian (it's in Canada) who had family in Vancouver as a kid with some German heritage. I picked up the patriots because as I was getting into the sport they were good and I liked their team first mantra.

Basketball- Oakland in the early 00s. Both Kobe and Corey Maggette go for 50.

Baseball- pitcher Heidi Nomo hits a homerun late 90s. I did go to Wrigley field a few ago, fantastic except for the giant cement pole in my field of vision.

Soccer- going to Spain to see Real Madrid. Hala!

Eta- with the exception of European and Spanish soccer, I stick with my local team.

How did you get into it? The NFL has had a lot of trouble with expanding internationally.

Best venue you have been to? Hmmm. Been to like 10 mlb parks. Those are usually the crown jewel of American sports stadiums but I can't pick one. Wrigley is the worst one followed by Fenway. Newer the better. I liked SF Giants.

Football - NFL or NCAA Football? Favourite team? NFL is an absolutely garbage product. Illinois Fighting Illini for NCAA football.

Baseball - Major or Minor League, College, or some other leagues you like to watch? Favourite team? White Sox MLB baseball. College baseball isn't big in the Midwest so do not watch that.

Basketball - NBA or NCAA basketball? Favourite team? Bulls and Illini Basketball

Soccer - MLS? Or are there other stuff? Favourite teams?
I follow the national team and international tournaments. I went to a real madrid game once in Spain and am going to see them play vs the MLS All Stars. Can't really stand watching the MLS itself though.

Pretty much this.

I only follow hocky and my favorite team is the Chicago Blackhawks
Found the bandwagoners

I'm a South Florida native and a Florida State alumni. I follow the Noles and all my local sports teams: Heat, Dolphins, Marlins, and Panthers.

If your looking for the best venue to watch live sports the best hands down is Wrigley Field

Hey I've been a fan since before they where good.

Same. My whole damn life. Before the past couple of years if I could switch teams I would. I can't and in my blood for life.

Don't like college sports.

NFL: Cowboys

NBA: GSW, although I admit I'm a bandwagon fan and only started watching when they got gud. I actually like basketball now so that's good I guess.

MLB: Giants... :( also a Mets fan as well... Lol

MLS: SJ Earthquakes.

NHL: I'll just say the Sharks but I don't follow it at all. Don't really care for the sport.

I grew up watching soccer and baseball primarily and didn't start watching/following other American sports more frequently until a few years ago.

I mostly follow foreign soccer. Favorite teams: America, Real Madrid, Man U

NFL - Seattle Seahawks

MLB - Seattle Mariners

NCAA football - Washington Huskies

NBA - I like basketball a lot but haven't followed/rooted for a team since the Sonics were murdered.

I used to go to Tacoma Sabercats (which were in some sort of minor league hockey league) games when I was a kid which was good fun. Also saw the Seattle Thunderbirds a few times.

I don't watch soccer because I'm only interested in good sports.

I have a pretty strange list of teams I follow...

NFL: Green Bay Packers

NBA: Toronto Raptors

MLB: Boston Red Sox

NHL: Boston Bruins

MLS: Toronto FC

I was born and raised in Maine (hence the Boston teams there). One of my all time favorite sports "moments" was the comeback against the Yankees in 7 games after going down 4-0 before winning the World Series. I was only 12 at the time but will never forget the blown save and Papi and all that. Just magical stuff.

I have lived in the Toronto/southern Ontario for the last 6 years and never got into basketball until then. I am kind of thankful the Raptors were bad when I first got here since I was able to go to games for like 15 bucks and have been able to watch the team grow and become real good! I also really got into soccer as I grew older and will be a TFC season ticket holder for the first time starting next season. It was a big life goal of mine to be a season ticket holder for a sports team, so very exciting to have that happen. Also a big fan of the US national team and watch/follow them closely (probably more so than any of these teams here even).

The Packers are a weird one (especially since my local team is the freaking Pats of all teams) but I grew up a big football fan and used to spend every Sunday watching NFL all day with family friends who were from Wisconsin. And thus by the time I was in middle School the Packers were my team. I got Brett Favre stuff covering my bed room at home to this day haha. Another of my favorite sports moments was when the Packers won it all in 2011.
