It's also set like a century before the original during the previous war between Hades and the Sanctuary so none of the previous cast is involved as they aren't even born yet. Well, except for Dohko, but that's because he is the ultimate badass.

I never know what people mean when they say animation though. I use it to refer to directing, but I get the feeling other people use it to mean the frame rate or something more technical.
