Only girly boy one I know of that's coming out, is the one with PoJu designs. But to be honest, I don't know if it is going be just an OVA or porno.
I love PoJu. Consider me interested.

It was impossible to avoid... I ended watching a couple of episodes of the pony stuff and I can't stop thinking that it has some sort of relation with other "innocent" anime shows...

What's anime-gaf take on that show?
Wouldn't that be like opening a can of sparkly worms?

Oh wow, this shit got reeeealy uncomfortable reeeeeeeeeealy fast... I even jumped a bit when he started knocking shit over. It's doing pretty well, framing the romance without condoning it.

On that note there is a new chapter out of Reversible! School Life, Prunus Girl, and Anal Angel.
I had no idea another chapter of Anal Angel got released (saw the other 2 tho!). Time to get caught up on some sweet crossdressing manga.

Having gotten through all of Level-E, it's probably become one of my favorite series of the Winter. There were a few episodes I didn't much care for like the baseball one, and the Color Rangers were a bit hit and miss, but the first three episodes were fantastic, and even episode four was a nice contrast to follow it up with. While the funny has died down as the series has gone on, episode 11 was still alright, and I'm curious why everyone is going along with helping Mohan force the prince to get married.

These high res shots make the CG setting much more obvious.

It was always obvious. But I can't hold it against them since they had no money, and it still looks better than a lot of hand-drawn stuff because of the art direction.

I remember seeing the boy designs but the girl is new.

I actually didn't know about the CG until after I watched it and read up on it. I thought they were using some new yet-unheard-of animation technique to achieve those camera pans.

But yeah it's all good stuff. Much better than the shit we're usually stuck with anyway.

Yeah, shit, I just found out from Wikipedia that there's a 24-episode FMP series and then Fumoffu is the 12-episode second series.
Pfft fumoffu is the only one I'd consider required viewing for a anime fan. And there's only two-episodes that kind of require knowledge of the previous FMP series.:p

Plus the first season is a chore to get through at times.

You can watch Fumoffu with no knowledge of the greater FMP world. I know someone who was surprised to find out that there were 2 other FMP series and that they were action series.

Just get the basic premise, battle hardened teenager Sousuke is forced to protect and go to school with tsundere Chidori. Hijinks follow. There.

You'll get more enjoyment out of it if you're already accustomed to the characters and their respective wackiness, but Fumoffu can work as a stand-alone comedy unit, vs say something thing like "The Second Raid." Not counting something like The Boondocks, Fumoffu is the funniest piece of anime that I've ever seen. Anyone who hasn't seen it is doing themselves an almost fucking grave disservice.

Oh! Edo Rocket 3

Damn if there isn't a ton of personality to be had in this show. I'm only on ep 3, but I feel like I've known some of these characters forever. Always a good sign in my book.
It did take an emotional turn though, and here I went into this expecting a straight comedy.

Yeah, the characters are all incredibly lively. There's a ton of personality to be had. I think one of the show's greatest strengths is how it can shift between comedy and drama at a moment's notice and execute both incredibly well.

uh
some parts of fmp were hilarious
they just capitalise on the situational obscurity for fumoffu
id say all of it is worth watching

Aka the best parts about the franchise. When it goes all srs business it's never as unique or fun, although i really did like the execution of the srs business stuff in TSR.

Definitely noticing that. It changed tone so quick, but I never fault at a loss, or an abruptness in the process. Pretty excited to watch more of this.

I was getting ready to say... The SRS BUSINESS part of "The Second Raid" was handled beautifully. The first season is the one with the bad taste to it.

After rewatching Fumoffu after having not seen it in years. TSR>Fumoffu

So they're doing a live-action adaptation of Arakawa... and also a movie. Did anyone even watch that show?

I know I didn't. I couldn't stomach it for more than a few eps.

Uchip, that right there is a show with disgustingly forced humor. Your jabs at Gintama are misguided!

It started off interesting for the first few episodes with the trippy dialogue, but then you realize it really goes no-where with it.:p at least bakemonogatari had a plot.

Mai Hime 1

Good first episode. Lot of stuff happened. Characters don't seem too bad and I really like braid girl's design. Want to know more about the white-haired kid at the end.

I figured they'd go in that direction seeing as how the episode previews had live action elements, still need to finish that, characters in that show are awesome.

In your sad neighborhood! That's okay though, you can roll through mine every once and awhile, just hold a white flag up admitting that Gintama is awesome and K-ON belongs in the negative pages of history, and I won't steal your tires.
