Yeah, this isn't working out too well. The volleyball matches were long and boring, and the off the court action seems average shounen hijinks that isn't too interesting. Don't see a reason to continue watching, dropped.
It's a real shame too since the production values have held up quite well and it's very good looking anime, sucks that the source material isn't holding up too well.
Nope but it has my man crush Matthew Mcconaughey. I would so DTinaL for him or Bryan Cranston. All of that talent. It also has the most motherfucking impressive singleshot take scene I have ever seen in a movie/tv series. Even more than Oldboy.
Also it cannot be argued that it has the best opening of the season. Anime wished it has this beauty.
I really love this anime. The way they show Ei chan progressing in tennis and also showing his faults/weakness makes this very enjoyable. I have to mention that Natsu is the best girl, all the way. And also seeing Takuma warming up a bit towards Ei chan is nice. Can't wait till next week.
Yeah, welcome to modern tv anime. Not that the manga is on the level of Elfen Lied in terms of entrails and stuff, but it's definitely not being shown in its entirety here.

Your taste in music is SHIT. SHIIIIIIII-IIIIIIIIIIIIIIT. But to be fair I never skip an HBO opening. Flight of the Conchords, Boardwalk Empire, Sopranos (especially this one), you name it and if I've seen it I didn't skip it. Actually I take it back. I skipped The Ricky Gervais show opening. Because it wasn't a song.

アメージングスパイダーマン2 (aka Amazing Spider-senpai 2)
This honestly wasn't as bad as people were making it out to be. It's made to please the general audience, not the niche audience so of course they'll take liberties to make it more epic and relatable to today's audiences. Some liberties with the source material I could've done without (like changing the accidental beginning to almost prophetic levels) but people need to rewatch the third film of the previous iteration if they seriously think this film had too many villains. This is very similar to a similar work ダークナイトリターンズ, where the main focus was on one enemy and they introduced others as a sideshow but it never took focus away from the main struggle. I'm glad they kept true to the source material with the one thing I was looking forward to though
Oh, I misread. Thought you were talking about Brynhildr. Provided you aren't watching the slightly-moderately censored TV version, you will definitely see entrails and stuff.
As far as why it's held up as a pinnacle of graphic anime gore, I would say that has more to do with it being one of the first popular instances of grotesque cute in the medium in the west. The dichotomy of seeing cute girls in a cute art style getting slaughtered/doing the slaughtering is more effective to some people than seeing it happen with a gritty art style in a gritty universe. When you watch stuff like Genocyber or other hyper gory OVAs, you won't be as taken off guard by the graphic violence.
Nyu is pretty representative of everything that sucked about typical female character design in the early-mid 00s. Eroge eyes are a blight. Kouta, the protagonist, is almost indistinguishable in appearance from School Days' Makoto. Artistically the show's only saving grace are some good backgrounds that are unfortunately forever stunted by being trapped in the SD digital ghetto.
Okay, now we're getting into the meat of the bullshit. Let's start with the very first scene in the episode: I don't think I've ever seen another anime where a male accidentally ends up in a compromising position with a girl and is seen by someone else is treated as an actual cliffhanger. I thought that, when Kouta's cousin finds him changing an incapacitated Nyu out of her wet clothing at the end of episode two, that it was simply being played off as a gag, but no. The next episode immediately returns to this and proceeds to turn it into a good old case of full-blown MISUNDERSTANDING DRAMA.
Cousin-chan isolates herself from Kouta because he's such a hentai baka, and, worst of all, doesn't remember a festival they went to together as kids. What a fucking lowlife, not obsessing over her after eight years of no contact. This gives her time to ruminate alone on her fond memories of their time together as children, and she begins to realize the true nature of her feelings, yes, those feelings, toward Kouta. This culminates in a heart-to-heart discussion at the end of the episode between the two where they resolve their differences and..........fuck, just look at the images below.
Translation: WHY DO YOU LOOK AT NYU THAT WAY (he isn't you dense moron) WHEN YOU HAVE MEEEE?!?
Visionary. Ahead of its time, although they have the decency to merely be first cousins instead of siblings.
Oh yeah, and now
there's another Nyu (Nyutwo?) and she has some ripoff Gendo-Rei shit going on with Secret Conspiracy Guy.
Much more interestingly, however,
Commander Asshole has his balls forcibly cut off after his encounter with Nyu because they can, like, inject their genetic material into humans and if it comes into contact with his semen another Nyu will sprout out of his sack or something.
I expected a lot of weird things coming into this, but I didn't expect material for
I just keep it themed. Since my name is a dog and my avatar is a dog, if I can use a dog as an image all the better. I did the same in Kotaku when I posted there as a certain deity. But I'm a dog guy yes. I hate cats.
Watching a bunch of anime yesterday didn't leave me feeling as weeb as watching 30 minutes of 47 Ronin. Thank god white guy Keanu is there to save everything.
I don't know, these stories can be decent even if they are published in a shounen magazine. Admittedly the ones that are published in Jump have the tendency to be worse than average.
His fascination of dogs only shows how dominant of an animal they are. And much like their dominance, his love dominates who he is, to the point that I still, to this very day, expect him to accidently post dog porn one day.
They could have made the match last one episode and adapted more material in these opening episodes, dont really see how it feeling a bit long and boring kind of suggests its an issue with the audience its aimed at.

I still argue the internet has really fucked up your mind if you see dogs in silly situations and your first thought is "he's going to post dog porn". Jesus man lol I dread thinking what goes through your mind when you see a happy couple on the street or a little kid passing by.
One Week Replacement Friends 5
Fuck this show. It's not diabeetus now. Fuck the new girl. I hate her. She turned this show into FriendTR, FirstnameTR, GoingoutTR, and most importantly.... LunchTR. How dare you. I hate you. Team Hase-kun. 0/10 would not watch again. But I will.
Went through Kyoukai Senou no Horizon s1 upon a bunch of reccs from pals and holy damn was this series terrible.
The horrible blast of exposition were one thing but the terribad cast made this series irredeemable. Given that this is just the first part of a several novel series I'd expect characters to not get focus sure, but most of the cast are so one-note and unmemorable. The banter for the most part too being inane "HENTAI! ECHII!" jokes put the final nail in the coffin.
OST was nice though, I hope Sunrise actually gives us a good tv series one day, last good shows they put out was back in what? 1999-2000, how horrifying.

I was a bit surprised that with this and Shuffle best girl got chosen
With Mashiro though I guess also interesting was that it was the older character chosen, where they tend to act all big sister crazy or a mentor character for others.
Tiera's in a dress. And he dances with Ribbons Almark.
Was DTL involved with writing this show or something?
Intresting...so the show's big complicated plan for ultimate peace involved Celestial Being to have itself destroyed once all the armed interventions were no longer necessary. Yikes.
Also
what happened to Louise's personality? Like, she went from being a bratty teenager to...nothing. I can understand that's what traumatic events can do to someone but seeing her with Setsuna like that is weird. Last season she and Setsuna were in the same room for one scene and she despised him back then!
When exactly does S2 start showing its shades of horrible? Cause so far I'm really enjoying this almost as much as I did the first season.
Thought you were talking about the one where Tomino wanted a female lead, he was rejected, and instead frequently put the feminine male lead in dresses. Maybe he started a tradition inadvertently? Or someone liked that idea rather than just making a proper female lead.

The most tame episode of the season in terms of having the least full retard stuff. Though the "say sexual things every 5 seconds" girl is getting a bit on my nerves. Also everytime a female in anime feels the need to grab the breasts of another female to "compare sizes" or "be playful" I cringe. I assume it's a male writer or a writer pandering to males, but do Japanese women do this?

Certainly being closer in age to those characters generally makes me both attracted to them more than the little girls and embarrassed by how they normally are depicted (and mayumi is no exception there).
Think what I want is a show where an older character is the protagonist. Though I guess I'd have to got to manga for that for the most part.

Personally I still enjoy it greatly thought, its not making sense anymore but its still fun robot show.
Eps 13 and finale was fucking great, its just the season as whole that not qualify as something great.. but episode per episode piece? its well made and fun I thought.
