No you really don't need to. I'd say you are better off going into the Fate/Zero anime totally fresh.
Honestly, yes, to keep up with the Fate series story.
But it's definitely nowhere close to as great as Fate Zero. I seem to appreciate it more than most other people on this forum, but I'm in it for Saber and Rin mostly anyways.
Nothing can mess those characters up.

The MC is not typical at all in the VN.
Fate/Stay In The Kitchen would be better if it had more than one decent fight scene.
I remember marathoning the whole thing in one sitting and being very into it, so I honestly cant think of why it is so hated on here. Like I seriously cant. Maybe I should rewatch it to see what you guys are talking about, but I only remember it being a very enjoyable show.

Fate/Zero Einzbern Consultation Room 03
Well, besides making fun of Assassin for everything he has ever done wrong, parodying the famous walking in a circle exposition scene and more love between the two, it was great exposition once again. I really did like the next episode preview following the same format of Fate/Zero's normal ones just in storyboard.

Mai Ritoru Poni: Yuujou wa Mahou 5
For a show with Yuujou wa Mahou in its name there was very little friendship is magic within this episode. I really didnt like this episode. For everything that was upbeat and cheery that was the first 4 episodes this one was a total buzzkill and a total downer
Basically the moral of the story is that your friends will have other shitty friends and it is totally okay for that to be the case. Hooray, friendship is magic! Only thats not really friendship at all. For an episode that contained bullying I really expected there to be a better anti-bullying message. None of the ponies really took any kind of positive message out of this one. I guess there were some enjoyable moments to this episode, some of the Pinkie Pie shenanigans were actually funny but it was pretty hit and miss, and generally miss. This was just appallingly bad kind of like todays Tottenham - Sunderland match.

I had to pause the episode when that happened, not even able to make it through to even the second episode of this second half. Ryuunosuke was so cool and to be taken out by Maiya of all people! Ugh! At least he had tons of speaking moments and looked so excited and happy

Really compelling and stunning visual graphics with their style. Gilgamesh was cool, Ryuunosuke too. Action delivered on what first half was missing.
Character death was shocking, still cant get over it. Hopefully Maiya is next.

Well the VN is apparently much better. I have only seen the anime.
Its not well animated and the MC is a total loser, but Rin, Saber, Sakura, Illya are cute and I think that may have overpowered everything else in the show. I did enjoy the story and the Servant characters, especially when
little Illya calls on Berserker.

I want to check out the first episode of Koikelupin, but I fear I'm not as familiar with either Koike or Lupin as I should be. I've never seen Redline, and while I watched the Lupin TV series that aired on Adult Swim years ago, I'm embarrassed to admit that I've never seen its most highly acclaimed installment, The Castle of Cagliostro.
Problems, yes, but problems that may be rectified! Cagliostro is streaming on Netflix and I bought Redline on DVD a few weeks ago. I plan to watch both by the end of the day.

Saber is always awesome, but Rider definitely is the best character in FZ.

Hopefully she's not that bad. She was pretty sweet in FSN, but I realize this is in the past and she has the potential to be different and pretty lame...
I've heard complaints about Shirou and yeah, he's a really bad looking character, but he's actually pretty cool in the VN. And it'd be really hard to mess up those girls.

It's just at a first glance and previous knowledge, though. My opinion will probably change. A little bit into episode 2 and Rider's pretty cool.

You don't need to watch either of those films before watching the new Lupin - and you especially shouldn't expect Cagliostro to be similar to it. That said, they should both be watched eventually.

You are right, and they totally didn't. The Fate Stay Night girls are intact and awesome.
Now and Then, Here and There 10
Instant fuel. Just add water. Hellywood liftoff scene had a fabulous track playing for background music. Thought the Sara breakdown scene was handled well too as everyone including the viewer had been given a reprieve from her suffering then it all came rushing back.
