400+ posts since I went to bed? Man, this thread has been unfriendly to EST timezone people lately, hah.

I saw a shit ton of Symphogear BD vs. TV comparisons.

They fixed a lot of shit.

And they certainly had a lot of shit to fix.

And these were just two from the past couple of episodes. Symphogear may have the most animation errors I've seen in a single anime in a long time.

Sunrise didn't have anymore money because of Gundam Age. Damn you Hino! :shakesfist]:

I wonder if Nichibros' ratings among the youth demographic are above 0%.

They're not poking fun at you - they're poking fun at one of the thread regulars whose tag is "watches anime on Wikipedia".

INSULARITY

I CALLED IT.

lol they acknowledge the existence of Chaos;Head in the trailer

I'm sure 20 is too old for Otakus, let alone a 31 year old seiyuu.

Hnnngzawa is 23 years old.
Ayana Taketasu is 23 years old.
Aki Toyosaki is 26 years old.
Kanae Ito is 26 old.
Nana Mizuki is 32 years old.

Yeah 20 is too old my ass.

wtf

mind blown

I suppose it doesn't help Arai that her voice is generally annoying.

Hence she has fans? I think she gets a free pass since she's over 30. Same goes for any female seiyuu hitting late 20's/ early 30s.

oshi. I'm sorely mistaken.

Er... Chiaki Omigawa has fans...

Omigawa's yelling isn't nearly as bad as Arai's, though.

There's probably some out there, anything can be considered moe after all.

It's so shitty how seiyuu can't have a normal life because of the crazy fanbase. Seriously, sometimes I'm ashamed to see how this type of fanbase is crazy about these things. =/

Hence I strike out Aki Toyosaki. She's already been harassed by the otaku for living with tom-h@ck.

Most celebrities around the world can't have normal lifes. It's not a problem exclusive to seiyuus.

Things I never even noticed, thats pretty shocking, the first one at least.

We have our first staff details for the upcoming adaptation of shounen manga Code:Breaker.

Director, Series Composition: Yasuhiro Irie (Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Kurau: Phantom Memory)
Assistant Director: Masayuki Sakoi (Needless, Strawberry Panic!)
Character Designs: Yukie Akiya (.hack//Quantum)
Animation Production: Kinema Citrus (.hack//Quantum, Tokyo Magnitude 8.0)

Aw, man. Robotics;Notes might be a good show, and I'm glad to see it looks like Production IG will be handling it instead of White Fox (not that that's a guarantee of anything), but it's not the sort of thing I want to see in the noitamina slot. And Psycho-pass doesn't give me any confidence just from the name alone. I want more josei, damn it!

Why even give us these two seasons of traditional noitamina if they're just going to snatch it away again? They're only further confusing their brand identity and setting themselves up to fail miserably. Idiots.
Amen. It's because of people like this that noitaminA has been corrupted.
Finé isnt a terrible design, imo, in action.
I fail to see how unnecessary underboobs make more sense in action.

My possible enjoyment of Robotics;Notes aside, it is an odd fit for the Noitamina slot that brought me Trapeze and Usagi Drop.

I can still hope for the best.

Midori Shoujo Tsubaki

So, after thinking about it yesterday night, I caved in.

Well, that was something. If I was one of the people following all those creepy signs late at night for the disturbing circus screening, I would've said, "Son, I am disappoint." after the film.

I think I expected too much from the guro aspect, (thank goodness it was much less than I expected). And it only made me react at the
poor puppies! ;_;
Midori sure does go through some terrible though.

I appeciate the info that icarus and Emmanuel provided me on the creator and the original screenings though, made the film a bit more interesting to see.

But yeah, as cajun said, no recommendation, not even for the experience.

That was the only difference I could figure out between you and Dedication Through Light. You seem to only praise action packed shows like Cowboy Bebop and Black Lagoon.
Well, sexuality is a factor for what kind of shows a person enjoys/praises. However, I don't think it's the main factor in regards to the difference between what I like and he does. I believe gender to be a much bigger factor.

It feels so good to jump onto another slice of life right after ARIA. What's more, this show is completely loaded with :cajun everywhere!

A story about a girl who lost her father at a young age, but is determined to put her sad past behind her and pursue her father's hobby of photography. Fu is a bright yet clumsy girl who is so very genki about taking photos.

The highlight of the first episode is Chihiro, though. Her constant crying every time she thinks Fu is going to feel sad is so hnnnnngh. Combine that with her moe-naming sense for her stuffed animals and I was all smiles throughout this episode :)

Looking forward to meeting the main cast next episode!

Hmmm.. I hope the censorship isn't too bad for this.

Sailor Moon R movie

Oh how I loved this. I was sold when I saw how the beginning embraced the first series' eyecatch. Doubly so when Moonlight Densetsu started playing. Beyond that I was in for a treat as this movie captured so much about what I enjoyed about the first two arcs of the anime. It had a wonderfully light atmosphere that turned only as dark as it needed to be, the monster were the strong silent types rather than the sort that became prevalent later on what with individual catchphrases, and Mamoru got a bit of time in the spotlight rather than working as a support character.

I really liked the decision to make Mamoru's childhood the catalyst for the events of the movie. It wasn't touched upon all that much in the anime so there was room enough to plant the seeds of this story without mucking up continuity entirely.
He and Fiore met each other at a time when each needed the support most. There was also that lovely little scene where he met Usagi years before the events of the first series albeit with no recollection of the event later on. I thought all this tied together nicely when Fiore finally came to his senses as he finally realized the source of Mamoru's gift to him. I didn't expect it to and had feared the hospital interaction between Mamoru and Fiore were destined to be throwaway scenes.
Admittedly the focus shifted from him pretty quickly once events were set into motion. The first half of the movie felt more like the normal tv episode whereas the second was akin to the arc resolution set pieces. This doesn't sound like it'd work yet I thought it did pretty well. I suppose that's actually attainable if pacing is managed properly.

There was so much more too such as the new transformations complete with invidualized choruses, the magnificent return of the moon tiara, a villian who
wasn't fooled by tuxedos or sailor suits
, and other silliness like Luna P.'s face reacting to events, Ami's apparent respect for privacy lacking in execution, and everyone teasing Usagi in the greenhouse. The rooftop scene with Luna, Artemis, and Chibi-Usa was a nice callback to the end of the first series too. I did think the movie stopped playing during the scene where
Chibi-Usa attempts to wake up an unconscious Usagi
Nearly twenty seconds of silence and a still frame!

You've consumer a dangerous amount of Sailor Moon in a short amount of time. You're a good person.

Symphogay episode 13

Well, we got trolled...big time.
Since all three survived, they can form a singing group. And Miku got to keep her waifu.
MORE!

I remember when I thought Gainax wasn't gonna do a troll ending because we made it all the way to the last 30 seconds of a series without being trolled.

Boy was I wrong.

This is your fault for having expectations of any variety.

Guilty Crown/Black Rock Shooter TV -> Kids on the Slope/Tsuritama -> Moyashimon Returns/Natsuyuki Rendezvous -> Robotics;Notes/Psycho-Pass

Looks like this year's noitaminA line-up is 50% fresh.
God dammit. At least Robotics;Notes might be okay but that's not what I'd like to see from that slow.
Robotics;Note? I'm in. Steins;Gate was a blast to watch, hopefully White Fox is handling this again.

Why anyone would hope for this I do not know.
