Valvrave the Liberator Episode 10 – Campaign Promise of Love

Q-vier needs more lines.

Although there wasn't any action, I think this episode was rather well done and fun. Focusing on Haru and his personality, while the past focused on L-elf and his skills, I think has shown that both complement each other in terms of personality (Haru), and skills (L-elf), and when combined as done in the past great things can be done. But anyway rather interesting episode that really highlighted several Haruto (Haru-tard (Aniplex)...) expressions well, such a good smile and personality that really can convince folks to put their trust in him and what not. Id have voted for him and L-elf too, though what a steep restriction for L-elf...

Haruto must be commended for the scene in which he would shoulder Shoko's burdens and try to confront them for her and everyone else too, the message on how he'd do it just for the sake of his precious hands left me feeling rather good of sorts.

The big scene seemed oddly entertaining of sorts with the dialogue of Shoko being played over (and Valvrave-tan putting up that message) while Haruto was there. I wonder if the writer will attempt more scenes like that with this vampires of sorts for other types of scenarios, as I couldnt help but imagine if it had been L-elf in that scenario instead, though I guess he would have let Haruto do it too just to see what happens and if it is a necessary move by others who have gave up humanity. What would L-elf even say upon Haruto returning to the room in nothing but his shirt around his waist (liked how Haruto looked when it was all done there). Would be exciting to see.

Anyway curious where things go from here and if they can reach the moon before this half ends.

Still calling for Shoko to be killed off, and I think maybe Thunder might too, as cool character but I can't really see where he fits in the plot at all or even what he brings to the table as he could easily be replaced as pilot for someone else instead. Also I think the crew of Dorssia will somehow be successful in one of their pursuits, they cant have a complete losing record all season, can they, H-nuen please.

Man, I know Eva did hymns for its creepy music, but Utena's science songs are pretty wacky too. Uhm what the hell was that with the prince and the white rose? Wuuuut. DO IT FOR CHU-CHU.

Noragami Manga About Lowly God & Schoolgirl Gets TV Anime

The wraparound jacket band on the seventh volume of Adachitoka's Noragami manga is announcing on Monday that a television anime adaptation has been green-lit.

At the boundary between this realm and another, there live eight million gods, dead spirits who serve the gods, and other assorted spirits who help and meddle in the affairs of humans. A sweet middle school girl named Hiyori Iki has been enduring bullying from her classmates, and she goes to the restroom by herself to cry. Scrawled on the bathroom wall is a phone number and the message, "I solve your troubles."

After Hiyori calls the number, she encounters a homeless, unemployed figure who proclaims himself a "god." Crude, unpredictable, and worthless, he does not answer people's prayers and no one acknowledges him. However, he has one sole power, the ability to cut all who pass between this world and the next.

I like the art of the covers at least and mythology always wins me over.

manages to break out of this silly heartless assassin role that's been forced upon her and actually do what she feels is right for a change. It's pretty obvious at this point she doesn't honestly believe in the Church she works for; she can see they're as corrupt and twisted as any of the heretics she's been sent to execute. I liked the parallel between the flashback where she was listening in on her targets making plans for their own self-interested purposes, and the later flashback where she was listening in on her employers doing the exact same thing.

Chiho continues to be best girl. Emi is pretty cool too I guess, but that's kind of her job.

Among other things. Technical triumph, great art, lots of hype. Let down once I started getting into it past the opening, which is otherwise detached from the main narrative. Every encounter so far has been:

1. enter area
   
2. see conveniently placed cover
   
3. kill random mooks around cover

Disappointingly lazy design. It's not so much the act of killing that disappoints me as much as the obvious artificiality of setting up these encounters.

Uncharted was very similar, but TLOU doesnt have the charming fun characters like Drake or Sully, so it can fuck off. They make uncharted what it is, and carry the jerky gameplay throughout. Without them, its just a bad game.
