Man I've already dropped Attack on Titan. The MC is too bitchy and I don't really care for the other characters either.

And I still don't get why Eren gets so much shit, especially when we just saw him as a kid...
Yeah its kind of a dumb show but I would be remiss not to admit that it is very :cajun
He's a kid at that point though, so exactly how do you expect him to act after
having his hometown completely destroyed and invaded by giants, seeing his mother get horrifically killed in front of his eyes, having his dad abandon him

It's a comedy, what does the story matter?
Eren acts the same way as almost everyone in the show, which means he hams it up and screams all the time. The show wouldn't be as funny without it.

So far I liked Gargantia's first episode most, ya, even more than Titans. But I have a bad feeling that now, when we are stuck on backward Earth with some pirates, things go bad, boring and predictable.
While Titans have potential, only... voice acting kinda bugs me.
Also have seen the first episode of Karneval, a good naming skills for sure, although Circus would be even more appropriate. Not sure I'll watch this if things get a bit too insane.
Also what is consensus on newer Gundams here? If there is one. Seed is OK, destiny not OK, 00 is well... pretty, Age not eve pretty? Or something else entirely?

The opinions on 00 and AGE in this thread are funny. Hopefully some of them repost theirs for you.
As far as impressions so far go, I thought Hataraku Maou-sama and AoT were the best first episodes. Gargantia would be up here too if it weren't for that space battle. After seeing a few second episodes, I'd say I'm most excited for Gargantia. Maou-sama, Oreimo, and Titan are behind it.

Just when I thought this anime season was going to be boring this pops up. Holy fucking shit. Anime of the season right here. Incredible production values and an interesting concept/universe. Oh and dat OP music. So awesome. I can't wait to see how this story plays out.
What're the chances this ends up not telling the entire manga story (which I know isn't done yet, but still)? I hate when anime does that.

The manga is popular and the anime is likely to sell pretty well. I think the chances of getting more seasons of the show are pretty good. Beyond that, who knows.

It's a comedy about a defeated demon king who escapes to modern-day Japan with his subordinate and finds that he doesn't have the power to return. While they try to find a way to return back to their world and provide basic living essentials for themselves, the demon king finds out that the hero of his world had chased him there and is waiting for her allies to arrive so she can kill the demon king and return back to their world.
As far as I can tell, it's basically a combination of a fish-out-of-water story and those types of stories where two enemies are forced to deal with each other and come to understand each other better. I personally think the comedy is delivered well and it has had a pretty good reception here so far as well.

Hunter x Hunter is the best anime of this kind and only one I could watch till the end (original), havent' finished remake yet. It does everything right and has no obnoxious characters. Also pacing for the most part was lightyears better than Naruto and co.

You probably won't have to. I totally expect another season to be announced when the current one ends in September.
It makes sense, I think it has more to do with pacing (smoothness and coherency), but as I said, I find that everything was right about Hunter x Hunter, that mean transitions too.
I may not have very many nice things to say about Oregairu (yet, hopefully), but one thing I will say is that I love the OP song, Yukitori. The song itself isn't amazing, but I love Yanagi Nagi's voice. Her voice is so smooth and light.
