Well damn, I just accidentally watched the whole thing again. Official localization definitely trumps the fansubs, never knew they attended Luna Nova academy.
edit: On second thought I think I was just excited to see it again and now I feel a bit mixed about the subs. The Akko and Diana exchange about her nose feel more natural but some bite was taken out of Sucy's teasing. hmm.

I had forgotten how good this dinky little series by JC Staff was. The Dub wasn't too bad either and I really appreciate the script adaptation method used here. It could have been a wash if they ruined it with a litteral translation.
That said, the sub script is wacky in that Manga thought it prudent to change "Ass" for "Arse".
Sorta made an arse of themselves in doing so.

Exactly ... this new season has cool ideas , including ( hopefully an increased focus on the old cast ( seya in particular ) The old cloth mecanic works great to shake my nostalgia ...
But it's ruined by the horrible steel guy.
Mecha action was much better than ep1 , ep1 was just pink stuff on screen.
But you're right the plot is stupid..i really disliked the end of ep2.
I'm not convinced this will be a good trainwreck yet ... it'll be a trainwreck sure but will it be fun to watch ? i couldn't finish guilty crown.

I constantly feel like they are referencing things I should know more about, but don't because I didn't play the game. I might drop this, and just play Break Code.

OP has grown on me and I like how it sounds, quite memorable. Fun episode throughout and a bit on the emotional side sometimes. The struggles of being the galaxy's most talked group in awhile is surely taking its town on Team Rabbits as well as their direct supervisor. I can only wish them the best in their current and future endeavour as they are continuously put into this situations that are just not under their control. At least there arent any cameras. Suruga was ha bit funny, and Hitachi/Asagi moments always memorable.
I wonder if their mechs have hi-ougi's...
