Spring Anime 2013 |OT -7| My Giant CG Pony Can't Possibly Read This Much Baudelaire

I see that Sentai still hasn't bothered to fix the form text on their press releases for newer shows that claim "a home video release to follow later this year" when, due to the dates of the JP BD releases, there exists practically a zero chance of it happening.

I think most people usually forget that Sentai licensed something til they announce street dates for it like a year later.

The main character himself has potential. He was just icing people early in the episode and the white haired guy has no reservations about killing anyone either. As for the FABULOUS crap on the part of the leads, we don't know if the show is going to go that route. It's still really early on to see if either characters can live up to their Geass counterparts.

L-Elf (lol) is similar to Lelouch but without any charisma, inner conflict nor much in the way of showmanship. He's more anti-social and outwardly aggressive too. The only positive thing about him is how the protagonist accidentally pushed the poor guy into a situation where he's somewhat hilariously frustrated.

The main character, Haruto, isn't really too much like Suzaku other than piloting the most powerful robot either (or at least the most powerful at this point in the narrative).

I will never ever get tired of reading School Days impressions. There was a glorious series watch though in one of these threads a few seasons back where the person hadn't had anything spoiled and the meltdown at the end was glorious. You could almost see the entirity of AnimeGAF holding its breath and stifling laughter as it went on. I wish I hadn't lost the link for it now.

It's a train car tumbling down the side of the mountain end over end.
It's a train to which they forgot to add wheels to anything but the engine so it tries to start but as it pulls it derails instantly tumbling onto a onlooking crowd of passengers. And so Devil Survivor 2 starts.

But then you'd miss Makoto's humble beginnings.
I'd not have missed anything tbh.

L-Elf also sounds like Lelouch when the VAs read it.

Haruto will probably have the physical capabilities to match his robot up. His physical presence will probably play a role in the future compared to say L-Elf/Lelouch where their defining characteristic is their intellect. Not only that, Haruto's country has surrendered similar to Japan in CG so I'm sure that's going to be an aspect as well.

As for L-Elf, I suspect he's going to be branded a traitor and thrown out. Revenge might become a motivation for him. There is also the fact that we don't know his or even Haruto's background at all.

Now we just need Syrinx to finish up Blood-C
I've dropped that halfway through episode 1. Maybe I should finish. I think I am done with stupid for a while though. Need to recover. valverave 02 didn't help. Re: Cutie Honey and Diebuster probably.

Corvosol already promised to watch Arjuna, too!
Probably much later I will watch that too. I have a limited stamina ya know.

Someone should watch Black Rock Shooter TV too.
There is a TV show? I watched the OVA the other day and it was quite decent!
I refuse to acknowledge the series existing.

Quite. Even if I couldn't say for certain after the first episode I now feel confident in declaring that Sunrise are delibertalet constructing a stupid-twist series. This is fine for a couple of episodes but I don't know if this will remain entertaining over the long run. The problem with basing your entertainment around stupid twists is that the only way to keep the audience entertained is by topping the ridiculousness of your previous twist, or else the effect wears off. Eventually you reach a point where you just can't entertain via the twists if that's all your show has going for you.

Just curious about what you consider a "twist":

Are you counting the hitherto-unseen and only lightly explained new powers the robot demonstrated? Because, while I won't argue that it isn't stupid, mysterious giant robots using new powers right when the plot demands it is standard enough that I wouldn't really call it a "twist" at all.

Woah woah woah, what. No, get on that right now.

Also, if you subscribe to Neon Alley, don't forget that in five hours they'll be airing the first English dubbed episodes of Accel World and Fate/Zero. Of course they'll be rerunning them through the week constantly, but this is the first broadcast.

Guess Ill see Fate/Zero another day, would not want to miss the aniplex show thing tonight which is at the same time.

Hyped for the other voices in Accel World.

It seems the occupation may have already concluded within a single episode after the bad guys retreated.

Or at least I have the impression they left the specific module/place where the main characters are supposed to be living in.

As for L-Elf, I suspect he's going to be branded a traitor and thrown out. Revenge might become a motivation for him. There is also the fact that we don't know his or even Haruto's background at all.

Which is something of a questionable approach on the part of the director and/or writer, since keeping us in the dark for much longer won't be of any help.

Nah, GT started like a month before that movie came out.

Oh yeah, you're right. O_O

I like GT's Bebi arc actually, returns to the series to its root althoguh a bit flawed.

Super 17 was made me go 'What the FucK' though, it was basically DBZ: The Greatest Hits (let's battle Frieza, Cell, #17 again!). Dragon Saga was alright. Overall I didn't hate nor love GT, just in between

I remember it much differently:

Actually ...:
Let me think :

BlackRock%20Shooter%20-%2005.jpg

BlackRock%20Shooter%20-%2007.jpg
BlackRock%20Shooter%20-%2008_01.jpg

I remember it as an anime full of despair emphasing the greatness of friendship.

In short : " totally OK "

"The idea that my friend burned her own house crossed my mind for a second; that makes me the worst person in the history of humanity."

One Piece 587-588

Fight between Smoker and Law felt short for my taste but it was still good. Liked how their abilities were animated and the way the ending played out was really satisfying.
