The OP was lazier and much less pleasing to the eye than the one showing off the LN artwork was. Other than that this was a great episode with more laughs and more of Chiho-chan's chihochans. They're getting bigger ever episode and I'm so ok with that.

Is this a bad time to mention that I've never seen School Days?

Although, I think I did kinda hear that
the MC rapes some chick, I guess?
is that too much of a spoiler to be able to "enjoy" it?

Man the size of tits on that girl is totally unnecessary. I have never seen a middle school girl with tits bigger than her head and big tits usually arent that perky. It just looks wrong. Though I do remember this girl in the year above that absolutely had a gigantic rack. I miss her lol

Okay, so apparently the ending to the last episode, where
Nono became an Elder Bairn, or her shadow did...or something
was not a dream as I had initially thought. Which makes no sense. Like...what the hell?

So then Saya has a long chat with that talking dog. He runs a shop. What does his shop do? Grant wishes. That's right, the dog runs a shop whose purpose is to grant wishes. The stupid is really beginning to pile up right about now. Then they have a discussion about who she promised that she would defeat the Elder Bairns, because she can't remember. I had just assumed that she just made the promise to herself, or her father as she took on the duty, but apparently she promised somebody else. There's another party at work here.

Okay, Saya's teacher is evil or something. She has to be. She's probably the queen of them or some stupid shit. Otherwise she's the worst Cheshire Cat character ever written. Because, like, she's not helping Saya in any way whatsoever, nor does she show any insight into the situation at all. She's basically just saying "I know about the Elder Bairns lol!" Might make some sort of sense if she's evil and trying to intimidate Saya. But if she's not, then I don't know what to say.

Episode is capped by the worst fight scene in the show. Memo to animators; anytime somebody gets slashed or stabbed does not mean blood has to come bursting out like a fucking sprinkler. The animations for this scene just looked off. Like, they were going in slow motion...but nothing was really happening. She was just blocking his attacks. Then the dude sprouts more arms than he has to total eight...and he doesn't use them to any real advantage. "Hur, I'll slash four swords from the left side! *blocked* Hur, I'll slash four swords from the right side! *blocks*" Hey asshole, do you realize that you could attack her from all sorts of angles and she wouldn't have a shot in hell? And then the ending to the fight...goddamn, that was awful. Fucker has eight fucking arms, but when he uses one to try and attack Saya, he apparently can't be bothered to do FUCKING ANYTHING with the others. "Hur, I shall use one of my arms to attack her, while my other arms may as well be scratching my balls! *blocked* *stabbed* Oh, I am slain!" All the while he's telling her that her father isn't telling her the whole truth, which anybody beyond the mental capacities of a masturbating baboon should have figured out a while ago.

In short, this was the stupidest fucking thing I've seen in a long time.

Master of Martial Hearts/Platonic Heart end

Jesus fuck! This is some Blood-C shit right here. No, this might even be on par with School Days ending. Seriously, what the flying fuck.
Platonic

Heart

I mean everything is in the title.
I'm pretty sure i've watched this years ago ..but i can't manage to remember the contents.

That's not the problem. AT this point you know nothing and are going dry and unpreparred if you plan to watch. ( best way according to animegaf ) The problems are elsewhere.

A new school days sacrifice has appeared guys !

More Slam Dunk discussion just means another chance to post the live-action OP.

LOL that was awesome. Is there a live action movie or is it just the OP?

Yup

Since you've been into sports anime/manga, check out Eyeshield 21.
I recommend the manga, the anime is meh

Yeah I've been into 90s early 00 anime lately, I love this period. Haime no Ippo, GTO, Slam Dunk... I'll check out Eyeshield 21, its rugby though. :)

Regulus Tera

Romanes Eunt Domus
[Jojo's Bizarre Adventure] (2000) 2
Jotaro is a cool motherfucker. He doesn't have the charisma of Joseph or the innocence of Jonathan, but he's a pretty cool dude alright. Has swag --even DTL swag.

The fight with Kakyoin gave me shivers.
I just don't like stuff going inside bodies, or out of them, really.
Very nicely animated, though, and a lot more engaging than the fight with Avdol.

This episode also featured a flashback to something that happened in Part 1. Comparisons with David Production aside, I wonder how all this stuff with
DIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
and the callbacks comes across to the people who watched this first without knowing anything about the franchise. This doesn't exactly work as a stand-alone, unlike Battle Tendency.

Conclusion?
ibnJ6tJ4S61p2X.gif

The website broke for me just before this post so I went to sleep. It was the first thing I read when I woke up. Worth it.

Now just ~8 months till blu-ray is out, and another ~8 months till it is release in US for around 200 bucks. And it will be sold out immediately.

This sort of thing doesn't even scare me anymore like it used to. Its still a bullshit marketing strategy for the US though.

The white haired guy is clearly a Lelouch like character. Hell so far I'm getting Spinzaku vibes from the main character.

a good pale imitation is still a pale imitation. Its no Code Geass :(

The difference here is that nobody cares about Subaru anime.

Answer me this: would this ending have had any effect on you had you not watched the rest?

This is why people who suggest only watching the last episode are fucking jerks.

I cared about the Subie anime! But only slightly. It was adorable you have to admit, and soooo blatant.

I think most people usually forget that Sentai licensed something til they announce street dates for it like a year later.

I definitely do. I just go on rightstuf and browse the release list and Im like "Oh shit they got Acchi Kocchi!"

I will never ever get tired of reading School Days impressions. There was a glorious series watch though in one of these threads a few seasons back where the person hadn't had anything spoiled and the meltdown at the end was glorious. You could almost see the entirity of AnimeGAF holding its breath and stifling laughter as it went on. I wish I hadn't lost the link for it now.

People dont want to admit it because School Days is so overplayed here, but it really does elicit some amazing reactions. I think THE LIST could use some fresh content though. Pretty sure there are more shows out there that belong on it.

Corvosol already promised to watch Arjuna, too!

So have I. Still need to track down a copy on ebay.

I think they look bigger in episode 1, so this could probably just be wishful thinking/inconsistent boob drawing.

They look to be consistently huge, which I don't particularly like very much but she is a cutie anyway. Also she actually got better looking with each subsequent episode.

Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru - 03

Because it's a TRAP

The way the Mc look down on himself is seriously annoying .
It's like hyouka main character that quickly see his world torn down or Index MC either ..

His attitude Make watching the episode a serious chore and while some parts were good, other were so nunecessary.

If this continue i'll drop this show.

[Episode 2 – Beyond 666
tumblr_mlimd9XOTt1qcsesho1_500.gif

Fun episode and emotional too, well on both parts of the lead characters. I wonder how L-elf will fit into things here assuming the whole thing is only going one way:
If Haruto bites him and then they body swap but he cant tell that he is in Haruto, and Haruto is fully conscious through the whole ordeal. Though that thing with the cellular level, surely L-elf could be conscious during it and have possession over Haruto's body. Additionally, I wonder if he could also pilot Valvrave. But regardless, since he is a traitor to his own Dorssian people would he stay with the remnants of those with JIOR/the academy folks? I would like for him to stick around with Haruto and they continue to make the best of their relationship with the body swapping and using it to whatever purposes they imagine.

Valvrave is one epic unit and beyond 666 with new possibilities is phenomenal, the creator of it, in universe, must be praised for his 100 -> 666 scale thing and all the bells and whistles with it.
Hatakiri ftw

Ah and Q-vier and his VA, Kaji Yuki, must be praised, after Haruto and L-elfs amazing performance, he easily is winning in regards to being wholly memorable, fun and comedic. But why he get one of the ugliest looking units. The other ones in the crew need good ones, maybe megane, X-eins got a good one.

Okay it's time for School Days. If it's as bad as people say I'll at least have a tonne of Gintama to help me recover.

Its not bad so much as it is a trainwreck. A glorious trainwreck that you will appreciate once you complete it.
Actually for what its trying to do, its very well made.

How does it feel, to not like fun?

I love how when
that police officer was stabbed
, only a little bit of that blood got on Saya's face, and it didn't get on anything else. Not even the ground. It was like he had two blood fountains coming out both ends of him.

Since I've been absent from these parts for a while, I'll just briefly go over what I've been up to anime-wise.

I saw Wolf Children at the New York International Children's Film Festival. It's fantastic, but you probably know that already. People talk about Hosoda being "the next Miyazaki", which is a silly comparison to make, but if there was any Ghibli director I was reminded of while watching it, it would be Takahata. The whole sequence where Hana was learning how to farm in particular reminded me of Only Yesterday. Loved the use of music throughout; the exhilarating snow ride and the tension when
Yuki scratched Souhei
were the two scenes which stood out the most in their skillful coordination of music and visuals. I had seen people say that the film ends abruptly, but I can't agree with that statement. The whole arc following the career of a mother is a very natural one (albeit compressed) and it ends just where it should, closing a chapter of the lives of Hana, Ame, and Yuki. Excellent and sensitive characterization.

Unfortunately I was unable to ask Hosoda any questions, but it's probably best that the kids present got to ask their questions rather than me asking some animation nerd question that probably wouldn't have interested anyone else in the audience. Just seeing him live and getting to thank him for the film in person was neat enough. It's a weird feeling when someone you've looked up to for a while and seen in photographs is actually there standing in front of you.

Recently I started watching Jewelpet Kira Deco!, the magical girl little girls' show from 2012 that no one bothered with, and am up to episode 5. (My present avatar is drawn from it.) It's actually pretty good and quite funny. It unabashedly embraces the weird, and while Studio Comet doesn't have the animation resources that Toei can (sometimes) give to Precure, there's enough visual creativity and energy to support the comedy. Episode 5 was particularly good in this respect with Dezaki postcards and crazy faces (and shirtless guys!). I wrote up a more extensive essay on the series so far at my new blog, which is where I intend to publish my long-term criticism in the future.

As far as currently airing stuff goes, the one thing I'm watching right now is Yuyushiki. The girls are charmingly idiotic and the character animation is a lot of fun to watch. I still need to go back and finish Code:Breaker, but I'm rather impressed by Kinema Citrus' work as of late. Definitely a studio I'll keep my eye on.

That's about it, but I pretty much know what else I want to check out from this season and recently (and not so recently), so no need for further suggestions!

The first four episodes are so terrible though.
But maybe it is worth watching just to see the end.

One Piece 589

Well, finally Caeser shows his face. Strawhat crew gets informed (wrongly) about him from Blackbeard, setting up for them to learn the truth later on.

And I'm not a fan of his Shuroro~ laugh either.

TuneIn has some stations that play Japanese music. I use that sometimes.

I'll have to look in to that. posted a similar question in the G+ Anime Community I'm a member of and so far I've just got suggestions for Android apps that seem to have collated a bunch of random anime music streams into one app.

Not exactly what I want, especially since I'm more likely to want such music from my PC.
