And yet the only thing I can ask about that Akibaranger gif is "I wonder which studio they asked to do that short bit of animation?"

Bleach ep 1 - 2 (5th rewatch? dub)

Since they started airing from the beginning, I was like, might as well go ahead and start this years rewatch of Bleach in its entirety. I still have Naruto on the sechedule to do this year too (would be 9th)/ Anyway one has to wonder why Isshin wasnt more active in these episodes and pretty clueless with his family in danger.

Spoilers ahoy
So they finally try to explain what's going on and exactly how the show is linked to Gunbuster.
I had anticipated that Nonoriri was just Noriko stuttering
Why am I the only person in the entire world who didn't expect this at all? D:

Because Kubo just makes shit up on the fly?

Speaking of Bleach I really liked the show before Soul society. Love the look of fights in the dark and was really atmospheric and mysterious (like they never really brought up hell ever again until the movie). Then it went to soul society where some of the more boring settings in anime and it turned into generic shounen smeared in bullshit plot.

I've never searched for Akibaranger's animation credits, but wouldn't the obvious answer be Toei animation itself? It's a Toei tv show, after all.

This season seems to be focusing more than anything on Fakir's existential crisis. Now that his role in the story has come and gone, he's looking for some way to help Mytho but he's struggling to do so. And Kraehe and Mytho will find every opportunity to diss him about it. Man, Rue just appearing there as he's reading that script and talking about the Ghost Knight, telling him that role would be perfect for him...goddamn.

But Kraehe seems to have an existential crisis of her own. Her father is getting pretty damn angry with her about not having a sacrifice yet, and yet she can't do anything to get one; she has to leave it to Mytho. Because only her father and Mytho will love her. And if she can't get a sacrifice, then her father will stop loving her. So if she loses Mytho, nobody will love her. Poor Kraehe. She's the villain, but I still feel bad for her.

Existentialism and transcending the roles given to you seem to be the key themes to this story, so I'm interested to see how they, along with Duck and Mytho, will deal with these issues going forward.

Shingeki no Kyojin Episode 03

Sasha does not disappoint. Best girl.

Pretty good episode for the training segment of the story. Wasn't expecting the animation quality to live up to the previous action packed episodes but considering a lot of this episode was dialogue focused, it wasn't bad besides the excessive stills. I'm glad to see a lot of the humor from the manga being translated well in animated form (Jean's
"My faith in humanity"
scene is still hilarious). It's nice to see the show adapt the manga pretty faithfully and the extra details for the rest of the cast being introduced is much appreciated. I'm just hoping they're saving their budget for when the next big arc begins.

;_;
Them Gunbuster links this was a lot better when Noriko did it, not complaining though!
Can't say no to tan tits
That was pretty friggin' awesome!
I was also right on the money about my Noriko ending prediction too, still poor Nono ;_; it didn't have to end this way! You will live on in Lal'C's heart!

Not sure if I'd compare this to Gunbuster but this was pretty good on its own right. Thoroughly enjoyed it to the end. Final verdict on whether one needs to watch Gunbuster before or not, I would say it's pretty hazy, the show deifinitely would still stand on its own but you would miss out on a lot of nice fanservice on the last few episodes. The recommendation to watch Gunbuster first then Diebuster after some sort of hiatus is probably the most sane in this case though, I actually think interleaving Gun and Diebuster isn't a terribly bad idea either.

I think I'll go to sleep now. Re: Cutie Honey tomorrow maybe.

Why am I the only person in the entire world who didn't expect this at all? D:
Probably.

Poor Nonoriri.

Groooooooooooooooovin' magic

I'm jealous you get to watch all this for the first time.
Sometimes the backlog is kind to its slaves!

You forgot to say that it is :SDBurton as fuck.
Tragically so, but it is.

And now you have earned true Nonoriri status.

Why is this even a discussion? This is not Final Fantasy or some crap like that. This is clearly a continuation even if it takes some radical aesthetic changes from the original.

Yes, but the differences are large enough it doesn't seem to matter all that much. I concede after having seen the whole thing though. Reason this started was because SD Burton asked and I naively answered after only having seen the first 2 episodes.

And now you have earned true Nonoriri status.
Yay!

That should have already been painfully obvious if you've been reading the rest of these impressions. You are right though.
;_; still bitter
SDBurton is bound to have a field day with this.

That Diebuster finale.

Yeah, I totally shed tears. I hadn't read up on the series at all, so
ending it with the crew coming home was this gigantic NNNNGHHHHH moment for me. All the tears.
