AFAIK there's some weird compression at he end of the film but that's it. Either way this is the last thing I'll buy from Sentai unless they don't manage to fuck up tsuritama (which they will).

After the Kids on the Slope fiasco, I decided I wasn't going to give Sentai any of my money again until they prove they intend to change their low-quality ways. It's too bad they license so much stuff that they've got a fair number of things I'd like to buy.

Emperor Gore cut had better art than usual. Scary.
Ep felt better than previous ones so maybe it's finally starting to come together or it might just be the humorous heavy Musashi focus. Ryoma's VA is really getting into the role too. His voice is cracking during the called attacks. :lol

Man that Time of Eve cover is terrible.
FWIW it works better with the rest of the slipcover:

savinganime39a.jpg

And the actual BD case itself comes with a shitload of extra covers for the case, each with a portrait of a major characters and little stylistic info blurbs for each (in japanese).

Musashi Gundoh 3

Like a terrible cut and paste job.
There's plenty more where that came from!

Yeah, it really blows. :/

Should i be watching Tamako Market?

Fake Edit: RIP I just started getting back into anime months ago forgive me

It's not as good as Hyouka but it's def. worth checking out. Just keep in mind the last three eps are pretty lackluster.

"Since you like anime, have you seen Fate/Zero?" "Is that an action anime? I am not a big fan of those. I like animes where nothing happens, boring animes, like Utena."

That quote from her still stands out to me for some reason.

Utena is not an anime where "nothing happens" so that quote is kinda weird.

Funnily enough, if she likes boring anime where nothing happens then she would've like Fate/Zero's first episode, at least.

My to-watch list:

On hold:
No. 6 (Only like 4 or 5 in. Need to finish)

To Start/Tryout:
Blast of Tempest
Iriya no Sora, UFO no Natsu
Mardock Scramble: The Second Combustion
Mardock Scramble: The Third Exhaust

oh god I just need to watch some of these and clear my plate. Somebody help me.

You got it, buddy. I'll help you out. Drop these post-haste and you can thank me later.

So that would be:

Nobody's Boy
Takarajima
In the Beginning: Bible Stories
Hakugei: Legend of the Moby Dick
The Snow Queen
Genji Monogatari Sennenki

Right? I really need to go on a Dezaki binge one of these days.

I, alongside a whole generation of traumatized mexican kids, can vouch for the quality of Nobody's Boy.

As in a should watch these asap? Cause I liked the first Mardock movie a lot and No.6 seemed really good.

I like to imagine that the reason that so few episodes of Musashi Gundoh were subbed is because when translated into English, its sufficient to drive a person into paralytic insanity.

Gun x Sword 14

Cloud and Aerith go on a date to the playground in the slums while waiting for the Pokemon Tournament to begin the following day. Also, Van remembers Priscila's name, but not Wendy or Carmen's. I can't decide if this problem of his extends to both sexes, or just women, since he knew Gonovet, but then, he knew him from before The Claw, and he was apparently a very different man in those days.

Priscila is shown with Wendy, Carmen, and Joshua in the credits, so I assume she'll be joining Van's entourage soon enough. I mean, what self-respecting anime would really throw away a character whose plugsuit included a cat-tail?

Yeah, she's part of the adaptive OP that changes as the series progresses.

No, as in avoid at all cost.

What did you like about the first Mardock Scramble?

Okay. I'll probably back burner them cause I did like the first bits of No.6. I promised lavalamp I'd watch Blast of Tempest though; I'm gonna at least start that so I can give my thoughts on it for them.

About the first MS movie, idk. The setting of the show, the struggles of the heroine, the action sequences. Its been a while since I saw it but I don't remember myself hating it. It seemed like a really sick film and I was a little disappointed that it ended on a cliff hanger cause I was real into it for a conclusive end. I thought is was rather engaging.

Really? :/ I liked the first movie fairly well.

Second movie has this blinding rainbow filter on everything, eschews violence for weird shit, and I recall the casino stuff being fairly divisive even if I did enjoy that part of it.

Looking back at my old impressions of it, I take this away from it nowadays:

Negatives? There's a level of crazy that needs toned down as it obscures events and a story that should be able to stand on their own. It's like they're afraid to tell the story without some sort of spectacle to use as a selling point.

Hmm. Fair enough. I might watch them someday if I've got nothing else, but I'll trust your judgements.

I actually really like that feature, because OPs tend to spoil a LOT when they showcase casts. This one helped maintain the air of mystery by showing you an outline of The Claw but not his face.

Speaking of, can I just take a moment to say how amazingly well done that reveal was, for an anime? I mean the guy's name is THE CLAW, so we're looking for hands here, and nobody even thinks to think about his face, and where characters tend to have distinctive hair-styles/clothing/headgear, The Claw is just about the most understated character of the show in terms of appearance, and this in spite of having a GIANT CLAW. He's just a normal looking guy with normal looking hair and normal looking clothes.

And also a giant and evil claw.

Kiddy Grade 11

HAHAHAHAHA. Guy's name is Mr. Mister. This show never gets old with its punny names. Who is even carrying around an egg and a tomato to throw? Rocks I get, because rocks are everywhere, but does someone wake up in the morning and say "screw this lifetime contract I signed because I was an idiot. I'm taking exactly one egg with me, and with that ONE EGG I will, uh, hatch my freedom from the establishment?"

I get that this guy wanted to see her cause some carnage, but what exactly was inelegant about the way Eclair resolved this problem? She stopped AN ENTIRE MOB with minimal effort and minimal damage to property and workers. Even if they're valued as nothing but workers/property, that she resolved this without damaging them/hindering their capacity to work should be seen as elegant. A brutal beatdown would not be, under any circumstances, and it boggles my mind that a businessman would think otherwise.

Oh, hamfisted anime make-believe prejudice. Kid, you got no right to be pissed at the girl for doing her job. Maybe your parents shouldn't have signed a LIFETIME CONTRACT. I mean, how is that EVER a good idea?

Wait, these workers were born into the contract? This has gone on for 300 YEARS?

Holy fuck, where even are civil rights in the world of Kiddy Grade? How is something like this even fucking legal? How does the government authorize this?

And again the government is threatening to kill its workers? That's just a poor use of materials.

OH HOLY SHIT SHIT JUST GOT REAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLL!!!!!

And speculate based on his viewing habits!

The puzzle pieces are there, you just have to find them.

Yu-Gi-Oh! ZeXal II 94

This CM for another program at the end of the episode was more interesting than the actual episode.

Day one on the next yugioh series if it's card games in rowboats.

Does someone at least know if Dusk Maiden is free of quality issues? I really want to support it because of the commentaries.

I'll burn Sentai to the ground if there are any issues with their Jinrui release because in all likelihood I'm buying it at full price at release, which I almost never do with anime.

I like Mardock Scramble, just wish its not hurting my eyes. Outside of that its fine.

If only the gohands blindness filter was the beginning and end of Mardock's problems.

Cardcaptor Sakura 27

Oh man, Mizuki-sensei
seems to be something BIG plot wise, as she appeared in that one reoccurring dream Sakura has been having. She and Toya seemed to have a sexy student/teacher relationship too, which complete throws out the :DTL going on between him and Yukito
. I can't wait to see where this all leads up, and hopefully such a big event isn't the finale considering they're teasing it not even half way through the show.

Also, I feel dumb about getting annoyed at episode 22 now that I was reminded that Sakura didn't even have the Time card. It feels kind of bad to dislike a certain part of an episode due to a mistake on my part.

Mobile Suit ZZ Gundam 9

You know, sometimes I really feel for Bright Noa. When all of this began, all he wanted to do was be a soldier on a boat. He's spent the last ten years of his life waging some of the most tumultuous and historic wars in the history of humanity, and had to babysit a bunch of lousy brats and disobedient teenagers to boot, often with less than a handful of reliable soldiers to help out. How long is Bright going to spend raising other people's children?

No way in hell did Haman Khan ever preach about love and respect. THIS IS HAMAN KHAN we're talking about here. Did I need to see down Haman's shirt? And is the Hamma Hamma named for Haman Khan? Because that I believe.

He blew his nose . . . I can't.

Guys, I don't know if I can do this. Gundam is dead, guys. In the last episode of Zeta Gundam, I think Tomino killed EVERYONE. Gundam included. On the other hand, Mashmyre is like a stupider, less pretentious Paptimus Sriracha. And Roux is okay, for being a perky animu girl who has animu colored hair in spite of not being a Cyber Newtype. And Haman doesn't count because magenta is the natural hair color of old women everywhere.

"Fa Yuiry isn't even as good as you."

BWAHAHAHAHA. Bright Noa has moved on from physical slapping to verbal, shutting Fa down when she isn't even on the Bridge. BWAHAHAHAHA.

The Light of El Cantare
SDBurton watched it and died for your sins so you wouldn't have to. I mean he does that a lot but still the thought counts.

There's only one other yuri that I can think of that killed SDBurton. If I'm being manipulated into watching something right now it's working perfectly.

CODE #ROLO 8

Terrible, terrible, terrible OPs.

Oh, and I can't decide: do I want Suzaku to live a happy life after he's killed Lelouch and caved in his skull, or do I want Suzaku to pull a Delita and rule Britannia himself? That'd be some beautiful, delicious irony.

Here's what's going to happen because this is a Sunrise anime and they can't escape bullshit anime cliches, though: Suzaku and Lelouch will both live to see the end of the show, and Lelouch will enjoy success while Suzaku is relegated to some shitty consolation ending, like Seifer fishing on the docks at the end of FF8 or something. That's what's going to happen because ten thousand shipping fan girls who furiously get off to this sort of thing will never let it end any other way.

But in the mean time, I can still dream that Suzaku stabs Lelouch through the gut and ascends to the throne as Delita Heiral.

UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGH NINA. Hahaha, her bomb didn't even work. Screw you, Nina, you were going to blow up YOUR FRIENDS for the sake of your one sided lesbian crush, you conniving racist piece of scum. I wish you all the worst.

Spartacus move was interesting, underhanded and entertaining. I can't think of how much lower you can go than to use your own
murder of your sister, both body and memory
TWICE, to the detriment of the one person you claim to love, though. Oh it all seems so noble, exile for Moses and the Israelites so that Ramses can avoid the plagues, and I'm sure Lelouch thought so, too, and for that very reason I doubt its that noble at all. Lelouch has abandoned these people twice, and now he's lied to his sister, too. Which is no surprise, since he's lied to her constantly for the sake of "her protection" already.

Regulus Tera

Romanes Eunt Domus
Smile Precure 4 and part of 5

You know, I gotta hand it to Toei for their creativity in merchandizing. Sell the mascot, toys, and ALL sorts of bullshit trinkets with them!
True, but Smile's introduction episodes are probably the worst in the entire franchise. The show doesn't get "decent" until the Candy episode, and it doesn't get "good" until late in the thirties mark.

I don't think you will enjoy this when you found Heartcatch stiff for the most part.

If you don't want to watch all of it, at least watch episode 9, it's really really good. I think it can work well enough as an standalone story/OVA.
Nah, episode 9 really does need most of the series to truly appreciate just how flawless the execution of that episode is. A shame about everything after that and that one episode with the feet shots.

It's enjoyable enough so far. I mean, for a long time Heartcatch wouldn't allow an episode to be about anything BUT the monster of the week victim and already Smile allows first acts to do whatever. It even has a transformation better than any in Heartcatch.

Granted, I'm spotting the show the introduction awkwardness. Even if it's PGSM Sailor Mercury copy/pasted multiple times.

Ugh.
