I'm still convinced that Brian was just an akanbe in disguise, trying to lead Akane off the path of the pure.
Truly Pierrot's most villainous scheme of all!

Exactly. Those are gorgeous. There's a fair bit of nostalgia factor with LDs for me too. From what I've seen on Ebay, they typically don't break the bank in terms of price, with the caveat being that they're mostly Japanese releases. I somehow doubt you would be buying them for viewing anyway. Sort of in the same way one would buy singles of old comics. It's a collectors disease.
From Aniplex USA's Anime Boston panel, Sword Art Online is confirmed to eventually air on Toonami this August.
All they need now is a Doritos co-marketing campaign.Seems like a good fit.

You're being awfully critical as of late, aren't you?No BLue Exorcist BD news or movie?
That's one of the best choices of series for the audience I could possibly imagine. It's like .hack//, which they like, except worse-written and more exciting! From Aniplex USA's Anime Boston panel, Sword Art Online is confirmed to eventually air on Toonami this August.

I'm feeling a cocktail of emotions. It will do well on Toonami, ToonamiGAF will hate it, I hate it, and I'm proud of Toonami for being able to get a relatively new series. Oooh boy. From Aniplex USA's Anime Boston panel, Sword Art Online is confirmed to eventually air on Toonami this August.

Ah, my apologies, I thought you were following along with the panel as well and thus already knew about those announcements and were wondering why they weren't in my post yet.Sorry Im mobile so cant readily check the panel news. Ive been dying for BLue Exorcist to hit on BD.

In other panel news via the above link, they confirmed the leaked SAO BD/DVD plans (though made no mention of the prices) and also announced they're bringing over those Blue Exorcist bilingual BDs that were also announced for the UK recently, though they'll be in two sets instead of one complete collection.

EDIT: I'm currently in an critical studies course examining Independent Film in America, and I was curious... Do any of you know of some good anime that could be considered "independent?" The Dallos OVA and DAICON IV were about the only things I could really think of as qualifying off the top of my head, but even those might be way off.
They're going to lap it up. They loved Deamman Wonderland for christ sakes.Hope ToonamiGAF is ready for it.

Tear licking for everyone!
Watch them follow this up by putting something like Guilty Crown a few months later.
Can't wait for reactions.
They better not cut out the great tentacle scientists!
*tap* *tap* :lol

Oh, one more small thing from ANN's writeup of the Aniplex panel: during the Q&A, one answer was that AoA "could not say if Fate/Zero will get a home video release with an English dub".
Wat
....
I would actually buy Fate/Zero on Blu-Ray if it was available for the NA. Looks like that won't be the case. :-(
That should have been obvious since.Valvrave 07
Golden Seven, huh? I guess that means that we're not just missing Valvrave II, but VII as well.
I feel like I should be watching Fate/Zero, but I keep seeing people say to watch stay night first even though it's a prequel. Which one should I watch first?

The BLue Exorcist BD set 1 looks so good for 179.99

You're saying ToonamiGAF will gush over Kirito?Reading their Deadman Wonderland impressions were actually entertaining. Seeing the masses gush over Kirito will be far from it.
ToonamiGAF is going to absolutely shred SAO to pieces.
