So, uhh, anybody remember PacaPlus, that alpaca dating sim? well..........this is the plot of this episode. oh god
I'm sad that I'm still the only person watching this because it's just so wonderfully weird with lots of little things designed to go over the audience's head.
It's an action block. Tsuritama and Hyouka would not be on it. Even Kaiji is pushing it, but has a minor chance due to Death Note being on Adult Swim.
A quick wikipedia searched popped up the term UHF anime. I'm unfamiliar with what properties would fall under this, but it might be a good trailhead for you.
My problems with the shows have little to do with the characters and more to do with the poor visual direction so I don't think it's really something that gets better from what I've seen.
Already better than Dokidoki.
So IS reboot got confirmed for Fall. Fall is stacked
Good choices. Not that I'd ever watch anything on VHS ever again.
Ever.
Those covers are nice though.
Oh, one more small thing from ANN's writeup of the Aniplex panel: during the Q&A, one answer was that AoA "could not say if Fate/Zero will get a home video release with an English dub". Not sure if it's one of those "no plans at the moment" sort of answers, or if they just haven't finalized the details yet.
I feel like I should be watching Fate/Zero, but I keep seeing people say to watch stay night first even though it's a prequel. Which one should I watch first?
It's not a matter of faith, it's a matter of going into the thread and seeing that it's not the case with stuff like that. I'm sorry you don't have faith in me!I don't have faith in them. Sorry.

I mean, in this episode alone,If you hate Dokidoki Precure, what are you waiting for?!?!?!!?!it's heavily implied that the vice principal is gay for one of his own students. That ain't the little girl making that noise to herself.
Not the same thing at all. This is just anime that airs on UHF stations, aka small local TV stations as opposed to major networks such as TV Tokyo and Fuji TV. A lot of late-night anime airs on these stations.
Why gush over Kirito when you can glop all over Asuna. =)

See, my dream Toonami would not just be an action block. I recognize that it is but a dream, of course.

What is the significance of the pre-op scene? Didthe Dorsians actually win 200+ years prior? Well that sucks.
RahXephon 02
I don't know why corvo hate this, its compelled me fast.
Is that a subtle reminder that Branduil needs to finish his no-sub watch of Rahxephon? Not everyone understands RahXephon's unique magic the first time they watch it. Some even feel compelled to watch without subtitles to further enhance their experience.

I'm tempted to do a Precure thread now. But laziness.
Proof that you only skim this thread!I don't even know what Precure is.
I don't even know what Precure is.
The episode he was involved with in Panty & Stocking is the one produced by Purple Cow Studio. In fact, he's specifically credited on it for production desk under Purple Cow Studio.

It's a magical girl show for little girls. You are looking at the wrong franchise for that. After reading the posts of Kirbyguy, I'm getting more and more tempted to give it a shot. But what should I expect going in it? A deep, compelling narrative like Madoka? A complex good story like Nanoha? What?
The only thing that I know about Pretty Cure (That's the full version of it right?) was that it was some anime about two girls finding these "prism stones". I always dismissed it as some kind of weird cliché magical girl show. One quick wiki search later and HOLY SHI- I didn't think it would evolve into a franchise so massive!

I'm not surprised. (I see that guy is at a panel with Nagahama right now. I'm jealous.)
Nagahama is showing production materials for Aku no Hana 7. This is great.
He's showing an unsubbed version of Aku no Hana 7 right now. Still intense in a crowded room.
I should point out Nagahama has a light up Iron Man shirt on. Cool dude.
The show was rotoscoped to make it feel more like real life, because that is how the manga felt to Nagahama.
Rotoscoping the show has almost doubled the production time. The live action scenes were filmed over 30 days.
Aku no Hana wasn't just a live action show because Nagahama wanted you to think about the characters, not the actors.
On backlash: he knew it was coming. And if its creepy, its better to feel something rather than nothing.
He's talked a lot about his love of American Comics and Sci Fi. He likes Venom, Magneto, and Iron Man. And the dark sides of these characters.
He hopes people will remember the show as "that creepy thing that used to be on tv."
He passed on DMC and Aku no Hana once before directing them.
Nagahama wants people to feel like "they just met" the show. Compared it to a Gundam cosplayer in a sea of Narutos. Not kidding.
