Big fan of the original, was truly a bright spot for a while in our C64 library...
The update, I'm not so sure. I've only played single player so far, and if you don't have friends to play with (or Live to play over) I don't think this is the game for you.
The graphics are fine. The music is grating after a half hour, and the concept and control are good.
However, something is just broken in the mechanics of it all. In 3D, a lot of areas look the same and the chaos makes it tough to tell where you're going at times. And "Spy Fu" means that when you're in the same room as a fellow spy, you mash the hell out of your attack button 'till one of you is dead. I'd rather use my traps to kill the fellow spies. The lack of a map is a pretty serious sin, IMO.
I dunno, disappointed for sure, but is it awful? I don't think so. Incredibly average, but I think with some good human competition, it could be a blast....
