Blood in the water.Square Enix is a mess!!!
Its FFXV. Same team, same engine, very similar looking world, similar looking spells. Made it more interactive and fleshed out the movement. Hired western writers for the story.Am i alone in thinking this looks like a tech demo they turned into an empty game and decided to sell it for 110 euros (deluxe edition)?
Like...i want to like this...i swear i do but it does nothing for me so far.
Wait...someone else that preferred FFXV to FFVIIR besides me?Anyone else think that you just kinda summed up Square's games these days? They feel like glorified tech demos in a way. Gorgeous but lacking in gameplay and especially lacking in good dialogue.
I liked ff7's adaptation of the combat but I can't get passed the stilted and anime dialogue as well as archaic mission design. Ff15 I liked more than remake but people seem to hate that game now.
Needs better art style.Five months ain't shit so I still fully expect this to bomba at launch.
A shame because it the concept itself and general gameplay mechanics seem promising. It's just that the technical side of things and some of the other design decisions are half-assed.
Could be but I don't think it matters…..I think they've seen Horizon 2 and Elden Ring and thought it would be better to wait until people forget them, if not, probably people would have demolished Forspoken.
It's one of those early launch games like The Bouncer or Genji that is made to just show off the graphics, but you forget it even existed by the end of the generation.Everytime I see this game it reminds me of those games like the order 1886, they look and play like extended tech demos I think both Xbox and Sony had a lot of these games with the 360 and ps3 especially.
There's just something really uninspired and dull about them, the world looked so empty too it just doesn't look exciting at all ( and that performance oof ).
Why is anyone actually excited about this I can't understand it.
Even for a generic open world adventure game it looks and feels so lifeless.
( Also please ffs YOUR CHARACTERS DON'T HAVE TO FUCKING TALK CONSTANTLY PLEASE JUST STFU ).
It's a Square Enix game, weird ass names is in their DNA.Is forspoken an actual word? My gboard says no but it's set to UK English.
Ok you are right! They are making new IPs and that in my book is a good thing but their management is a mess. Square Enix lacks focus! It's not something new but it seems to be getting worse!I think we should at least give square some credit, they are doing lots of new ips. I hope it is worthwhile for them so they continue to take these risks
BasedHey at least they still have Stranger of Paradise. I hope that game does well, looks neat.
I mean, call me crazy, but that looks fine and pretty interesting to me.
How about they have 50% less IPs with 50% more quality in each. Throwing shit to see what sticks is not the best strategy.I think we should at least give square some credit, they are doing lots of new ips. I hope it is worthwhile for them so they continue to take these risks
Never trust the first release date broAre you fucking serious? Why the fuck did they announce a may release date just to delay it by five fucking months. So sick of this horse shit. I bet ff16 is definitely not coming out this year now
No need to spoiler it. Game journo twitter tricked the fools at SE into thinking people actually like this shit.- They need to make the character muter when traversing the world. UGH HUH UGH.
- Performance mode option (all we have seen is 30fps)
- Lower the wokeness?
It lacks interactions with the environment, so the combat just resolves around spawning magic spells, of course that is fine but a "Serious Sam with magic" should at least run at 60FPS.

i just dont get why those fake release sates are given out in the first place. They lie every single fucking time. There has to be an idustry term for it, like "we are announcing our soft date during this financial quarter to get pre order funds, then we will announce the hard date at the start of whatever corner"Never trust the first release date bro
It is when it is spelled correctly (forespoken). Every time I see the title of this game, that missing "e" bothers me.
Maybe they just come up with it without even asking the devs. Who knows. Anyway this is square enix, so anything under a ten year dev time is good going for them.i just dont get why those fake release sates are given out in the first place.
