Square Enix's E3 2013 Booth Lineup Revealed!

I just hope...they have some hidden announcements n__n
 
Terrible lineup.

The only title I'm mildly interested in is Deus Ex for the promising Wii U implementation. Otherwise it's all old news and old hat.
 
I don't see how anyone could give a fuck about their lineup. PS2 games in HD, a sequel to the most hated FF ever, and a 2-year old port.
 
Nobody asked for another ffxiii yet everybody is begging them to bring over the dragon quest vii remake.

Thanks square for giving the fans the opposite of what we want.
 
I'm hoping they reveal and new FF for ps4 and ff versus as a **suprise** announcement.
Pretty strong line up otherwise, even if kingdom hearts and FF X/X-2 are re-releases they are great games that will sell well regardless.

Lighting Returns....Pure garbage. No idea how three FF 13 games could have ever been made, I remember being super pumped going to the midnight launch at gamestop for FF 13 with a friend and picking up my copy, going home and playing the game through the tutorial telling myself it was so linear because it was only the tutorial, o how I was so wrong the whole game is linear and the combat is boring and robotic.

In the end I'll buy anything square related (except ff 13) FF IX and X made me a fan boy.
 
Atlus and xseed can bring over the weirdest most obscure rpgs yet square seems incapable of bringing over dragon quest vii. Someone explain this logic to me.

We're getting Bravely Default thanks to Nintendo, and we still didn't get Type-0, so I'm not surprised of Square's move
 
In response to all the people asking these obvious questions about where is _____.




Maybe it is the a lot of people's first E3. Perhaps a lot more people are paying attention this year due to the next gen console releases. That'd be my guess anyway. Plus a lot of people just bought Wii U's, and they're heavily watching the event as well, hoping for some good news.



Your causal may not know what E3 is, however, news site do mention it in passing. Main news sites on their "tech" sections, and other websites that cover electronics/gadgets such as Engadget or Cnet.

Then again, anybody on GAF for longer than a random google search pointing to them in a particular thread should "know about E3" by now.
 
When I saw the title I was excited

What a disappointment. I can only hope for a big surprise. Well, they announced at the PS4 conference that there was going to be an E3 surprise.
 
I actually think that there will be a secret announcemet or something Versus-related...it was heavily hinted at iirc and considering the time that has passed since its last showing...yeah, if it doesn't surface this E3, it might as well be dead.

Type-0...mhh. Was never hyped for that one.

I'm both anxious and excited concerning LR. Hope that game turns out to be good and that they will present a nice demo build and a better trailer. The first one was cringe-worthy and I actually like the XIII games. I'm always a bit puzzled to see so many negative responses towards LR...I mean yeah, most people want to get over the XIII games and I can see why....but what if it LR turns out to be good? It's not that we're drowning in jRPGs...

People rather have this because we know its a finished product (outside of localization) and its actually, generally speaking, purported to be good. Then again I'd rather have a PSN/360 port than a Vita/PSP release.

If all they have to show at E3 as a "surprise" is a CG of Versus people gonna be mad. lol

I'll take it as a PSP/Vita game or a PS3 game. I'm equipped and ready to go. I'm holding out hope. As in other threads, I always point to FF3 and FF5 as proof that eventually we'll get all Final Fantasy games.

Yes, makes sense.

The thing is though that Type 0 (for EU and USA) and Versus are nothing but wet dreams up until now. They look cool and stuff, but are totally out of reach for now. I always thought that these were games I would gladly play, but if I didn't get to play them....so what. Especially Versus which looks good, but I admire people who can be interested in a game for such a long time (has it been 7 years already?!?). Atm I couldn't care less for this game. Perhaps this is what they wanted to achieve in order to re-announce it again and to build up new hype, dunno.

The Type-0 situation is strange...I understand that a Vita version might underperform, but I feel that at least the 3DS could deliver good numbers, so why not simply port it.

On a different note, I find it amusing to see a Square-Enix-Final Fantasy-related thread all filled with the same people uttering the same things on each occasion. Basically, you can sum up each FF-thread like this: Bring Versus, fuck XIII, kill Lightning with fire, please be excited, lol Toriyama, moms are tough. Kind of sad considering the prestige this series once was.
 
Square doesn't like having mature FF games. Evidently. If they let Matsuno have his way with XII we might have a BERSERK Final Fantasy through and through.
 
Out of all HD remasters, Final Fantasy X's linear-ass gameplay is one of the worst they could've chosen, in my opinion.

When they finally remaster XII, I'll be all aboard the pain train.
 
Didn't SE say at the PS4 reveal there would be a new Final Fantasy at E3 ?

It's either Versus moved to PS4 or FFXV

Noted. Showing at TGS. Japan only. Indications of region focused products. Gotcha.

Bring on the ports, mobile games, and mmo's and the occasional new game. Can't wait.

I'd guess that if X/X-2 sells well, that might serve as encouragement to bring one of XII over though with the PS4 coming in, perhaps the chances of it being made and coming here are a bit slim.
 
Holy shit, they're showing one new game and it's not even playable. Sad times for Squaresoft. I hope they find the mojo they misplaced during the transition from SNES to PSX.

If some of these are being done for PS3/PSV, I could see some HD Collection games being done for PS3/PS4/PSV.
 
Yeah I was right. FFX|FFX-2 HD will be playable at E3? Hopefully that means we will get a release date and a better trailer.


So no Versus or Final Fantasy 15?
