There's a very good reason, the head of Final Fantasy told us in February.
I mean, in this specific list which is obviously incomplete.

People need to realize the big announcements will likely be at press conferences.
Unannounced titles won't be on here.
But Versus is not an unannounced title.![]()

Isn't it weird that FFX/FF X-2 get a port on the PS Vita but not KH?

the rename to XV is unannounced
There's also Bravely Default under Nintendo's booth. Square Enix is really rocking the E3, probably is going to have the best E3 line up for this year.
Don't encourage him.The most depressing indictment of SE and E3 all in one compact statement.
Well, as far as announced games go, this lineup is pretty shitty.

I don't see how. Bravely Default has gotten some really good impressions, FFXIV 2.0 seems like a quality MMO (you might not like MMOs, but that's no reason to shit on quality titles), the HD Remasters they are doing are high quality ones that people have been waiting for a long time and even Lightning Returns seems interesting from a gameplay POV (as long as they execute all of the cool ideas well), even though the story will be the usual Toriyama'd stuff in an universe some would like to forget already. The most depressing indictment of SE and E3 all in one compact statement.

And that's not even counting their western portfolio and unannounced games & surprises. Really, Square Enix has had way shittier years, as far as E3 presence goes.
Yeah, not enough marines, boobs and guns (even if Versus probabile features two of these!). Depressing line-up.
You really just said that to me.
^Don't encourage him.
Lightning Returns is a sequel to a sequel of a game that is several rungs beneath the standard of quality for the series.
That list is underwhelming to say the least. Nothing on 3ds.........
I should have listened. I just didn't know how far the rabbit hole went, yet.
This makes almost no sense.14 can be as good as it wants, but it will forever be FF14, the stillborn FF.
August A Realm Reborn
September Kingdom Hearts HD
October Bravely Default
November Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD
December Lightning Returns: FFXIII
March '14 FF Versus XIII (Ps3, Ps4)
April/June '14 THIEF? Maybe too early
December '14 Final Fantasy XV
Best fucking fiscal year EVAH.
There's Bravely Default on that one. For a company that aims to be inbetween the five biggest publishers around the world, portables should be their last concern right now. Plus we need more Final Fantasy, and we need that on the only viable systems for the greatest series evah: home consoles and PC.
Shhhhh he's napping. No Versus again I'd say.
This makes almost no sense.
Versus maybe (not cross gen though) but I'd be (pleasantly) surprised if they got another, mainline FF out next year.
The damage was done. When you have to rebuild your game because it was terrible, you need to sit down and think about what you've done. 14 can be great now, but the damage was still done.
I'm not so sure. We all know how bad the original game was but since then we all know how hard Square has worked to make this game work. The videos they have released and dev commentary have all looked promising so I think people will give this another chance.
Also, those who had the original will get the updated version anyway and if it is good then the word will spread from there.
If the game is as good as it looks then I think people will soon forget the travesty that happened before.
They'll ream us all pretty good, I'm sure.A Ream Reborn, huh?
Yours is a more forgiving view of the fanbase than mine, then.

It's pretty deep down here. At the end of it, there's Toriyama. You should come and see![]()
No one is denying that damage was done. But the game that people hated is literally non-existent now. It's been shut down. It ended in a fiery apocalypse. You should watch it. It was pretty neat.
