TOKYO--In what has become a tradition of the series, Square Enix is seeking designs from the public for summon monsters that will be featured in a new Hanjuku Hero game. Square Enix has not yet revealed details on the game, but it is most likely to be for the Nintendo DS game in the series, which was shown at E3 as Egg Monster Heroes. The company posted an ad on its Web site, which calls for fans to send in their designs to the Tokyo headquarters via postcard.

Yeah... Capcom did it in the 1980s.

I think the only incident of that was when they teamed up with Nintendo Power in asking its readers to send in designs for the next set of Megaman bosses. If I recall, two were picked.

Many bosses in the original series are from drawing contests, BN3 & 4 also has a few bosses who where made in a drawing contest.
