Graphics look ace. Almost early Babylon 5 quality in realtime on a PC. Awesome.

Am I the only one who thinks the actual space combat looks slow as hell at the moment?
I think it looks more like a tech demo at this point, but it all looks pretty amazing. Budget must be big, that's some crazy level of detail on the assets.
Seems to me all the actual gameplay stuff is really early/non-existent.

I hope theres interesting characters and NPCs in the game world. Im scared that thats not well done, or done at all becuase of the online aspect. Real people make horrible dialog interactions, prefer written characters.

Oh yeah I just read. 2014 release date too, figures. It's not too bad a number. I imagine this is an MMO, wonder if it will be F2P.
It's single player as well as multiplayer, he compared multiplayer to Demon's Souls style.

not making games with textures than can fit on 480mb total ram.

not making low-poly models that will be used on current consoles and then just put a high-texture pack for them at pc.
we really need consoles with more power,modern capabilities and more ram... wait a couple months and you will see the difference.

It could be running at the lowest settings too, didn't think if that.
If that was the lowest settings I expect only NASA PCs to run it on max settings.

No no, I mean the notebook would run it at whatever the lowest settings are.
I just love those little detail that are recreated into those ships. Interior alone is two levels beyond any interior in space game.

Thanks, now we'll finally see if the genre is still/again ready for prime-time, because we won't see a better project than this with a legend at the controls!
2 Mio. should be easy, if not, well then I was completely mistaken about the Space Sim community.
